Let Dr. Stanley guide you through the Scriptures. The Dr. Charles F. Stanley Biblia principios de vida pairs the dynamic text of the Reina Valera 1960 with the life principles Dr. Stanley has gleaned from the Word through his years of Bible teaching and pastoral ministry. Dr. Charles F. Stanley is the senior pastor of First Baptist Church Atlanta, founder of In Touch Ministries, and a New York Times best-selling author who has written more than fifty books, and has sold more than nine million copies. He demonstrates a keen awareness of people's needs and provides Christ-centered, biblically-based principles for everyday life.

Charles Frazier Stanley was born September 25, 1932, in the small town of Dry Fork, Virginia. The only child of Charley and Rebecca Stanley, Charles came into the world during a time when the entire nation felt the grip of the Great Depression. To make matters worse, just nine months later, his father Charley died at the young age of 29.

However, Charles refused to let the Great Depression or the difficulties of his life define him. Instead, like his father and grandfather before him, he clung to God’s Word and took up the mantle to preach the gospel to whoever would listen.

Dr. Stanley’s motivation is best represented by the truth found in Acts 20:24, “Life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about God's mighty kindness and love.” This is because, as he says, “It is the Word of God and the work of God that changes people’s lives.”

Dr. Stanley’s teachings can be heard weekly at First Baptist Church Atlanta, daily on “In Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley” radio and television broadcasts on more than 2,800 stations around the world, on the Internet at intouch.org, through the In Touch Messenger, and in the monthly, award-winning In Touch magazine.

EVERY day you get a slice of (1) the Old Testament, (2) Psalms/Proverbs, and (3) the New Testament. Additionally, you get all the Life Principles, notes and explanations, highlighted promises, etc. It has added a whole new perspective to my morning quiet time. Instead of reading someone else's commentary on the Word, I am reading THE WORD.

This book makes you WANT to be faithful to your morning quiet time, devotional, and evening "last thoughts before bed" time. I absolutely love it. It is just one more example of how the Holy Spirit has used Dr. Stanley to bless believers and draw them into closer relationships with their God.

I've had devotional Bibles before, but this is my favorite. I've had daily reading Bibles before, hoping to keep with the daily readings every day (that's the point, right? lol), but I didn't stay with the program more than a couple of weeks. This daily Bible has kept me engaged for a year now. Yes, I miss days, even weeks sometimes, but I do go back. Charles Stanley's devotional thoughts and comments touch me on every page, and keep me reading. I love this Bible, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an engaging daily read to enrich your daily walk with the Lord.

I enjoyed studying this Bible. The life principles are very helpful for getting a better understanding of scripture. It has a very handy life principles reference guide to look things up quickly which I found helpful. It also has maps to show significant events and where they took place to really get a clearer understanding of events. It has a concordance which I found helpful and a section in the back to take notes. I found it to be a really good study Bible.

Will continue to study along with my KJV Liberty Study Bible as I always love the Language of the King James Version most. This is one I read daily as there is no way to ever finish until one day I stand before Him, my savior. Like the sweet loveletters that must be reread continually.

A wonderful Bible! I bought mine in April and have been reading in it nightly without any other reading (how many books does the reading of this comprise? 😉). I have the burgundy leathersoft NASB edition, and while I love it and its looks, I wish that it had a sewn binding and also that the cover was real leather. In thumbing through it, I have to remember to not grasp the cover as it is starting to bend. Also, because the book block or spine, whichever it is called, is glued, the Bible isn't as stable as my Church Bible Publisher's note taker's Bible that has both a real leather cover and a sewn binding, and it was only a few dollars more. Nevertheless, I would purchase another in a heartbeat if this one tore apart because the thoughts and materials that Stanley imparts is absolutely fantastic and has made me WANT to read and study my Bible daily! To God be the glory!

A Daily Bible is a jewel for anyone hoping to read and re-read the Bible each year. As for this particular version, you'll enjoy an Old Testament reading, a passage from the Psalms and Proverbs, and finally a New Testament reading. The readings average about three pages which often include a "Life Principles" section from the beloved Charles Stanley. His insights add color and perspective as you read. I find the daily readings doable in one sitting each morning. This year (2012) is my third time through and I can say that this method of reading God's word is my preference over any other. I appreciate the routine and value the depth and permanency that comes with each new year. It's like one's backbone--always supporting and necessary for life, bringing strength to the soul. Everything else in life extends from it. Highly recommended. Thank you, Lord, for this daily bread.

This was hard slog and very challenging at times. I completed in 13 1/2 months and I would do it again because of the growth I've gained. Life changing. I will do the NIV next time. I found Charles Stanley religious at times. However, I read this using David Guzik's commentary (www.enduring word.com) on some parts and it was amazing.

I highly recommend this Bible. It is packed with additional teaching from Charles Stanley and serves as a Bible and Devotional. I purchased this along with two of the companion Bible Studies and the complete set of DVDs. The Bible, studies, and DVD sermons guide you through any issue of life and provide practical ways to apply biblical teaching to your life.

Excellent! I'm reading it on my iPad each day. I love the comments, the ability to highlight, make notes, look up info instantly, the way it's written. But most of all I like how he has tied in his Life Principles throughout.

This Bible helped me read through in less than a year, because it made me want to read more than one day's entry at a time. I wanted to keep going to find out what happened next.

God spoke to me every day as I read. Truly a blessing.
