Defensive Desire

I signed up for a business grant. What I didn’t expect was to get a filthy-mouthed hockey enforcer with a protective streak watching my every move.

The local hockey team just launched a community outreach initiative, and winning it could change everything for my small town business.
The prize? A café space inside the stadium… the perfect place to grow my bookshops new coffee brand.
The catch? I have to work with Logan Kane.
Icehawks Defenseman. Certified grump with a jawline that could crush a girl’s willpower.
He’s supposed to be helping me win the grant.
Instead, he’s fixing my shelves, growling dirty suggestions, and turning my business plan into foreplay with every lingering stare.
I’m not supposed to fall for him.
But the more we renovate the café, the more I start craving late-night “planning sessions”… and kisses that taste like espresso and desperation.
This isn’t just a fling.
Because when Logan Kane says I’m his?
He means it.

Defensive Desire is a fiercely spicy, low-drama/high-heat small-town sports romance featuring a protective hockey enforcer, a bookish coffee queen with a secret dirty side, and a no-breakup, no-bullshit love story filled with hilarious teammates, renovation flirtation, and enough tension to melt the arena walls.

h tells the same story in two different scenes to the same person, as if it were the first time. In chapter 9, Emma tells Lucy that she kissed Logan, and in chapter 11, she tells Lucy again that she kissed Logan, and she is shocked, as if she didn't know.
