Fantastic

This was perhaps my favorite volume yet. The spectacle moments are well executed and give a real sense of awe. The last third or so of the book has some of my favorite scenes of the series even without all that much actual combat.

Unlike many other isekai and progression fantasy novels the wide cast of characters are all distinct and maintain their own progression. The book makes you invested in what happens to the side characters just as much as the main characters. The sect and empire building is also second to none. I look forward to the next volume.

fun

Ashlock and gang have their sights set on the Silverspire family. First they hold a funeral for the fallen from Vincent’s attack. They create an afterlife. They level up. They open dialogue with the World Tree and the Beast Wave. They then subjugate the Silverspire family, rescuing Ashlock’s sword and Rhyker’s mom in the process.

A fun continuation. Entertaining story. Great pace. Please enjoy

I blinked and all of a sudden i finished the book.

I practically inhaled this book.

So far im liking where things are going post Vincent Nightrose. The Ashfallen sect are reeeally stretching the line between out right evil overlord and tyranical pragmatism. BUT in this world of cultivation. No one is truely good. Now what do we get here? Beast tides, literally diffying the heavens, celestial empire scheming which would go as well as youd think, and setting the stages for future plots involving the age of ascension. Where ever the hell that will be.

Overall, im still enjoying it. Hopfully that 1 year wait for book 8 is a place holder and the next book wony actually take that long...right?

This is just fun. I hope it picks up the pacing, though. It feels like it's just dragging its feet.
