A therapist holding an island's worth of secrets must face her own past before she can reclaim her voice, her heart, and her future.
Twenty years ago, Ada’s soaring opera career came to a sudden, heartbreaking end. Once a rising star on magazine covers and center stage, she found herself silenced overnight. The only constant was the steady man who caught her when she fell, who brought her to Nantucket Island, where together they built a family and a life.
Now, Ada has reinvented herself as a therapist, guiding others through heartbreak and hidden pain. But listening to her patients’ confessions makes her wonder about the choices she’s buried in her own past.
But a brand-new client’s first love after a heartbreaking and failed marriage forces Ada to see cracks in her carefully constructed world. Everything is about to crumble.
Her eldest daughter is leaving for college and carving out a hole in Ada's heart. Peter's devotion feels strained and false, as though everything he's ever said is a lie. Perhaps these are the fault lines threatening to unravel her marriage, her family, and her identity.
As everything teeters on the brink, Ada must will she cling to the silence that has defined her life for decades, or risk everything to find her true voice again?

Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.
Ada, a former opera singer who lost her voice, has spent most of her married life on Nantucket Island with husband Peter, an orthodontist, and her family of three children. Now she is a therapist who learns more about her own life with her new client. As usual, Katie Winters presents us with an interesting story with some secrets that drive the plot. Sometimes one must decide on her path in life through one's heart and not just practicality. This is a worthwhile read !
WOW! What a story Katie Winters weaved in Sunkissed Memories! A story that maybe every woman should read! Women do not take second place and through troubles, betrayals, disappointments etc., they find their way through with inner strength, friends, self reflection, and reality! These characters show kindness can prevail! Thoroughly enjoyed reading Sunkissed Memories!
Well I think I have experienced all the feelings with this one. Ada and her life was full of multiple devastating issues and decisions. My heart broke for her at times and cheered for her as a mother. As most women on the island, the Salt Sisters are always there and available. 💕
