Tap In

Rate this book
We pick up where Lark and Chance left off in Tap Out. After a weekend of activities that are best described as a Vegas Heaux Tale, will Lark recover from the new connection to the very man that gave her a new enjoyment for the term tap out? Will Chance be able to maintain his professional mindset, or will Numen take over the show? They already had a tap out. Now let’s see if they’ll be willing to tap in.

Jacobia Justina Christianson knows what she wants, who she wants, but her stubbornness won’t allow her to be great. Well, stubbornness and unreadiness was not what Joston Jerimiah Broughton was willing to be signed up for any longer. The two have spent years trying to out tap each other. Now only time will tell if the tap in will be worth it.

I met these couples in Las Vegas Heaux Tales. Lark and Chance...what do you do when what happens in Vegas doesn’t stay in Vegas? This book has that signature Mel Dau humor. Because that Ruth Chris scene had me lol.
Jacobia and Joston? Their issue is that Jacobia is a Christianson and they are crazy. But apparently the Broughton’ crazy is just enough to balance her out. Applebees behavior...LMAO
One thing Mel is gonna write is good solid girl friends. "Her bullshit is my bullshit" I love that for them!

Vegas to mount pleasant love

Amazing!!! I had such a great time reading this book. It was entertaining and had a great storyline. I was nervous around 40%, thought "there's a lot of book left. But around half way the focus changed to the other friend's...a very pleasant surprise. It felt like reading two books. I loved the gullah leeching references and the location had me feeling like I knew everyone. Great read! Spice 5star plot5 star

This was a charming short story that provided a lovely change from the usual rabbit hole I've been exploring. There were moments when I felt like I was back in a sex education class 🫢. Remember, you're never too old to learn something new or just try something different.

This was a gooodt book! When there was talk of this book’s release I went to read Tap Out and I'm glad I did because the continuation was everything! Having already met and gotten to know a little about the main characters I was hooked from the first page. I loved that this book gave us both Lark and Jacobia’s stories in one. We were able to witness their paths to a HEA!

Now I must start with my girl Lark because I needed her to redeem herself after that tap out 😆 I mean I completely understood why but nah we couldn't go out like that! Lark and Chance were pure gold. Two strong-willed and strong-minded characters would make for a major headache but Mel Dau crafted their story perfectly.

Within their storyline we got to see their growth, as well as their trust tested because I can admit Lark tried Chance and the way he acted a whole fool was warranted and hilarious to experience. That steak wasn’t ready (IYKYK). As their story came to an end I was thoroughly pleased. We were given comedy, growing affections, wonderful dialogue and communication between the two, a nice dose of drama, and of course spicy scenes😏 I didn't feel that we needed more because we got to interact with them in Jacobia and Joston’s story as well!

Okkkk…. I'll honestly say this part is what held up my review. Mel Dau had me in so many spaces with Jacobia and Joston that I needed to sit in what I'd read for a while 😆 I mean Jacobia had me laughing, clutching my pearls, and smiling all while I wanted to snatch her up. Then there is Joston who I can say was moving off of emotion however those movements were detrimental to his health considering who Jacobia’s family is. When I started their story I knew they were going to take me for a ride and I was not wrong 🙄

These two played the cat and mouse game but in the end the cat was over it and I completely understood. Jacobia was a character that was complex and yet simple to understand at the same time and she really showed the greatness of Mel Dau’s pen. I loved her strength and her loyalty and although some of her actions were questionable love had my girl crashing out however, so was Joston. He knew what he wanted and moved with intent from the beginning of them starting their “relationship” however being a man and only thinking about one side of things had him almost losing his dream woman because Jacobia was not for the foolishness (even if she did cause some of it)🤭

Since Jacobia and Joston closed out this book I would like to see more of them in the future and the way Mel Dau connects her characters I'm sure I will. I'm always ready for whatever this author releases because she never misses!

Tap in

I was in the mood for a book in my TBR that was on its good bs and this book did not disappoint. I had to go back and read the beginning for these couples from the Vegas Heaux Tales Anthology and that little bit had me ready for more of these couples and seeing what happened after Vegas.

For Lark and Chance, their banter had me laughing out loud. When their paths crossed again, he was rude and mean but Lark wasn’t going for it and gave it back just as good as she received. Their relationship developed pretty quickly but you could see their mutual like and respect for each other both in and out of the bedroom. I enjoyed their journey to happily ever after.

I do feel once the story started to focus more Joston and Jacobia’s journey it slowed down some and there weren’t as many laughs but that’s what happens when you have someone who is as stubborn as Jacobia and stands in her own way of getting her happiness. I liked that Joston didn’t try to force her to be with him and also didn’t allow her to play in his face when he knew he wanted more. He set boundaries and stuck to them until a bitter Betty spilled the beans on a secret Jacobia was keeping. Let’s just say Jacobia’s hand was forced by nature and she had to finally admit to Joston that she was ready to be with him just as much as her.

Both Joston and Chance sounded like they were fine af so it was expected that there would be a little drama but when both men realized who they wanted to spend their lives with, they were ready to tap all the way in and applied pressure and showed their ladies the all the love and affection they could handle.

Great Book!!

Tap In is a continuation of Tap Out which is part of BLP's Vegas Heaux Tales anthology. It was so good to catch up with Chance and Lark. I loved their back and forth as well as their passion. They couldn't keep their hands off of each other, and I loved that for them. Chance and Lark were made for each other at work and at home. The inclusion of Joston and Jacobia definitely added another dynamic to the book. Joston knew who and what he wanted and got tired of Jacobia's games so he decided to do what was best for him. Joston found out some information that made him re-enter Jacobia's life, and it was nothing but up from there for them. Eve and Noelle were 2 characters in the book I couldn't stand. I was cheering when both of them got what they deserved especially that neck chop one of them received. 😂😂 I really enjoyed the friendship that Lark and Jacobia shared. They were the best of kind of besties that had each other's backs. Jacobia had me cracking up with her shenanigans. 😂😂 Great characters with great storylines made this such an enjoyable book to read!!

If you were missing time with the Christiansons you get to "Tap In" with them a bit here! Even Galiana from the "Ready for War" series made an appearance and did not disappoint with the unhinged.

This was a story i didn't even know I needed and loved it!

The icing on the cake was Joston and Jacobia!!

❤️ it was the besties (Lark & Jacobia) for me!
“Hey, my bull💩is her bull💩. Now I just have to tell her about my bull💩.”
❤️it was Chance showing up to her meet up with her ex like:
“Oh, she didn’t tell you? I am she, and she is me. You can speak freely.”
❤️It was Justin Christianson caring for, and telling his grown daughter and bedtime story for me!!😭😭
❤️ it was all the BDE you can stand before you Tap Out and smiling into your phone when love Taps In!!

Good stuff!!

To fully enjoy Patrick and Lark, be sure to read Tap Out in Vegas Heaux Tales: A BLP Anthology. The story picks up where that one leaves off.

loved it!!

I love any book by Mel Dau that my favorite family appears in and I was super excited after I read Tap Out in the Vegas Heaux Tales: A BLP Anthology that it was a part two of that story!!

Chance and Lark’s relationship was very fast paced. She was betrayed by her fiance in Tap Out and met Chance at a party her best friend took her to celebrate her moving, new job, and just to have some fun. She was everything he was looking for in a wife but he ended up being her boss that she took no disrespect from.

Jacobia and Joston, are Chance and Lark’s best friends and cousin, that have a some kind of relationship but he wants more but she’s scared or more like stubborn to the point he lets her go.

Watch both of these relationships grow in so much more was so exciting especially when the drama from past relationships try to break them apart.

If you have not read the Vegas Heaux Tales: A BLP Anthology and Tap In they definitely should be on your TBR!

Outstanding Read

Chance and Lark were made for one another. She fit his arrogance to the tee! He may have handled her in the bedroom, but in the office he couldn't handle her attitude. He loved every bit of her smart mouth. He made sure she became his forever. Joston was tired of playing the back and forth game with Jacobia. She couldn't decide what she wanted. Fate had other plans on putting the two together. Both couples were happily in love and enjoying their families. They all experienced some bumps along the way, but didn't allow it to stop their love. This was an amazing read! I always enjoy reading about this family!

Mel Dau never fails

There’s never a dull moment when reading a Mel Dau book from the loyalty of friendships, family solid partners and the comedic relief is top tier …both couples were meant for each other but the way Joston stuck to his guns he let Jacoba know that he had feelings to and he will not be put on hold am I wasn’t mad at him now Chance and Lark knew that they wanted each other after the initial shock of discovery…there was just enough drama not too overwhelming but those club scenes were 🔥☄️🔥☄️🔥☄️

Just When You Think Everything Is Over

Mel Day what can I say? I loved Tap In. To say Chance and Joston had some work on their hands with Jacobia and Lark. What I loved about Lark was her strength. She gave it as it came. Her love was a surprise but oh she handled everything that she didn't know she needed.
That dang gone Jacobia over thought everything until she finally realized why keep running for no reason? I love this whole family. They never grow old for me. Thank you for giving them life. 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Tapping in is good 😍

OMG, this book was wild! Jacobia and her bestie Lark. Lark had no clue what she was getting herself into hanging out with her friend. Joston and Chance are cousins. They're killing it in their business together. They both seem super into it. Are Joston and Jacobia a thing, or what? Chance sees Lark and he's totally smitten. I couldn't help but grin at those two friends. I love seeing their relationships grow. I was rooting for both couples the whole time. I really enjoyed reading this book.

Mel Dau does it again.

So, I missed the short "Tap Out" somehow but when this popped up from Mel Dau, one of my favorite writers, I had to download it and read it first. Now, I'm not a fan of kink or overly explicit stories so I hesitated. But it's Mel Dau, right? And she always keeps it classy so I finished both. SO glad that I did! She liter supervised two great stories and journeys in 1 book. I don't know whose story I enjoyed the most, Lark's or Jacobiya's.

This was a good read. Reading about Chance and Lark in the Heaux tales anthology had me def looking forward to what would become of their wild night in Vegas and baby it did not disappoint. Lark might have been sub to Chances Dom but she def was a strong know what she wanted type of woman. The spice level in this book was freaking amazing. Chance wanting to explore something more with her and her being on board made for such a world wind romance. Then including Jacobia and Joston story made this tory even better, cause my girl was getting on my nerves, like chick let that 🥷🏾 love yo ass🤣.

2 ditsy bitches in this story but they were handled...🤣💜

this woman’s books just don’t miss

I loved both couples so much. I love a good ass hole boss that meets his match with a sassy coworker. Also the the way these men speak with confidence and know how to communicate and put they all in there women once that are together is unmatched. I’m only 50% through her catalog. I will never stop being a fan of this author.

Needed this follow up

That was much needed after that short tease in Vegas Heaux Tales. Chance and Joston where big boy energy all through the book. Lark was my girl she really didn’t have time for Chance shenanigans. Javobia was my least favorite character, she just was very indecisive and childish. I really didn’t care to see her HEA.

Not Bad But Not Great Either.

While this book was like a two for one special, both stories felt rushed TO ME. And even with the advanced epilouge, I didn't feel satisfied like I typically do with a Mel Dau book - unfortunately.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't her usual greatness either. I liked all the characters, it just wasn't a lot to them or their storyline(s).

I have come to the conclusion that I cannot listen to Mel’s books will trying to go to sleep…this woman’s books are hilarious. I loved the story of Chance and Lark. She was definitely made for the BDSM lifestyle. I’m glad that we got to see Bia and Jos story also. She kept giving my guy the runaround but he eventually stood on business and she got it together.

Another One!!!

Yesss miss ma’am! You always bring them heavy hittas. I love reading about the Washington- Christianson Smith family. I am so glad Jacobia did not continue to let fear lead her. Chance definitely gave BDE. Joston knew who he wanted. I love when love wins.

Laughs and a love Story

Whenever I read a Mel Dau book I know that it’s going to be the best laughs with a love story. Tap In picked up right where Tap Out left off. I just love how nobody played about their people and I loved that for them.
