Not for Me
Why Choose is one of my favorite tropes buI definitely prefer when they are carried out in a certain way and unfortunately this one missed the mark. The first half of the book had me hooked, I loved how Corey was sweet and a bit possessive. I just would have preferred that there be more teamwork between the MMCs instead of treating Abbie as if she were just Corey's girl. Now, just because I didn't care for the dynamic of this Why Choose doesn't mean the book wasn't good.
There also seemed to be a lot of conflicting details throughout the book. Abbie was described as dark, wild, curly hair, but the cover shows a blonde, and while that might not matter to some, it was something I couldn't get passed.

Loads of mistakes, no care taken of Abbie in s*x scenes, ending is really rushed. and absolutely no plot whatsoever!
I did sort of enjoy this book but there’s way too many mistakes and I hated their s*x scenes! Abbie completely changed her character from meek and sweet and really naive to having three men at once and being really outgoing. The change was practically overnight. There’s no romance, apparently she went out on dates with all three but we didn’t get to know about that, so the whole book is s*x, s*x and yet more s*x. The ending is really really rushed and no clue how their ‘relationship’ will work.
Abbie meets Corey at the bar where she works. Corey is one of the silent owners and is also her ex Chandler’s father. She doesn’t know that though as whenever he mentions about Chandler he always says ‘his son.’ The author was obviously keeping it a secret so when Chandler found out it was a huge drama. 🥱 Corey and his friend Seth both really like Abbie as apparently she’s gorgeous, intelligent, and amazing. 😂😂😂 So one night they ply Abbie with loads of alcohol while she’s supposed to be working, get her drunk then pretty much force her to have a threesome. I didn’t like that! Afterwards Corey who is supposed to care about Abbie tells her that it was really good and leaves her in the bedroom. 😡😡😡😡
Corey at first says she his, yet he didn’t mind Seth being involved sexually. There’s no discussion about sexual health, or contraceptives and none of them wears a condom. 😡😡😡 When Donovan Corey’s friend meets Abbie, he too wants her. So soon she’s having s*x with all four. Which is fine if it’s written well, this really isn’t!!! Donovan forces his way into her an*lly, didn’t use lube and doesn’t prepare Abbie!!! He just tells her it’ll hurt! WTAF???? 😡😡😡😡 Afterwards there’s no aftercare for Abbie at all. I HATE THAT!!!

1 Star Only Because Zero Isn’t an Option
Her Possessive Daddies by Ellie Rowe is the literary equivalent of stepping onto a roller coaster built from leftover IKEA parts... technically still a ride, but absolutely no one is sure how, or why, it’s staying upright.
Let’s begin with the spelling and grammar, which appear to have been mugged in a dark alley and left to fend for themselves. Misspellings sprint across the page like they’re fleeing the scene of a crime, and the grammar… well, the grammar checked out early and never returned. If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to read a book that could give an English teacher night terrors, this is your chance.
The POV hopping is Olympic-level chaos. Characters don’t just switch perspectives, they shapeshift mid-sentence. She becomes he, I becomes her, and at one point I’m pretty sure the narrator briefly slipped into the consciousness of a nearby piece of furniture. The whiplash is real.
As for spatial logic? Completely optional here. Characters appear in places they were absolutely not a moment ago. One second he’s across the room in a chair, the next he’s whispering in her ear like a magician with boundary issues. Gravity and continuity clearly weren’t invited to this party.
And we must discuss the heat. The so-called “spice.” The steam that should sizzle… except here it reads with all the erotic finesse of a middle school diary. Flames? No. Try a damp match that refuses to light. Whatever spark I was supposed to feel was immediately extinguished, my libido now sits in a corner with a blanket and some hot cocoa, recovering from the ice bath this book dumped on it.
In short, this was narrative chaos with a side of accidental celibacy. I wanted to stay in the story, really, but the story kept launching me out like it had a personal vendetta. If you’re looking for a wild experience that tests your patience, your comprehension, and your will to continue, Her Possessive Daddies certainly delivers.

I loved this book. It was such a fun romance. I loved Abbie and the three guys Corey, Seth, and Donovan. (Drunk Abbie was one of my favorite characters, too lol).
"Jesus," I mutter, steadying her as she sways. "You're going to be the death of me."
"No dying allowed." She pokes my chest. "You're too pretty to die."
"And you're too drunk to filter."
I loved the chemistry between her and Corey and Seth. Teasing, flirty, and hot. I nearly forgot about Donovan until he came into the story- though it wasn't until halfway through the book. Don was so interested, he lost his date, and Abbie was just as drawn to him. I liked the dynamic between her and them. It didn't play out like I expected from an Ellie Rowe quad romance.
The book summary was also kind of misleading. Abbie didn't find out Corey was her ex's father, or Corey learn that he was dating his son's ex, until 70% in; so that kind of changed things from characters who knew that connection from the start. Also, these guys flirted a lot, unlike where the summary said they "didn't flirt. They claimed." I also didn't find Don to be quiet, cold, and always staring/watching. I thought he was some bodyguard type, man of little words going in. Despite these things, I did love the book this way better than what I thought I was getting into. And the dinner party scene was exciting.
I also loved Abbie's friend Tessa! She was fun and supportive and I liked how close they were. It was cute and funny how she teased her, and how excited she was for Abbie finally growing into a "sexually liberated butterfly."

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. I love that Ms. Rowe can bring a different take every time. I never know how her characters will come together. This book is no different. Abigail Stiles is ready to start her life. Old Abbie is out and Abbie 2.0 is in the building. Abbie applies to be a bartender at the Velvet Room. This is her chance to finally be the person she wants to be. Single and ready to learn how to serve drinks. The Velvet Room is different as well. While learning the ropes, Abbie meets Corey King. She grabs Corey’s attention right away despite the age difference. Corey and his business partner, Seth Baker, own the Velvet Room. The three of them have one wild night together. Neither Corey or Seth can keep their minds off of Abbie.
That's not all. At a double date with Corey, Abbie meets his best friend, Donovan Robinson. Sparks start flying again. Abbie 2.0 is having a good time. Will Abbie get to have her cake and eat it too? Abbie's boyfriend dumps her because things are fun with her since she is still in college. This has her looking for a change and leads her to working as a bartender in an exclusive club. She meets Corey on her first night working alone and sparks fly between them. Corey is drawn to her even after she made him a bad drink. Its not long before things heat up between them. Corey talks about her to his friend Seth enough that he wants to meet her. The night they were in the club's VIP room they asked for her to bartender for them which she never did. They drink and talk, and Abbie ends up too drunk to drive and goes home with them where things get steamier. Abbie is wondering what has come over her after she was with Coey and Seth that night, but her friend just tells her to enjoy it. She meets Donovan at a dinner with Corey and sees that he wants her. Just when her life can't get crazier it does when someone she knows is connected to one of the guys. Will their thing turn into something more between them?
This is a steamy story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Story 2.75⭐️ Spice 3.25🌶️
There are so many wrong names and repeated scenes, I’m not sure how I made it through. Like one minute she is dropping her wine glass and it shatters on the floor and absolutely no one reacts to it. But then in the next paragraph she is holding her wine glass and looking for a refill. During the first group scene, the guys names are constantly mixed up. One minute she is telling the guys that Chandler apologized to her then, in the next chapter, she calls him for closure and he apologizes, even though this should have already happened. I could go on and on with all of the mistakes.

Good but annoying
I enjoyed this book, it was good, but it was so hard to read. The author consistently repeated herself while also changing the story every chapter, its as if she wrote the book but forgot what she wrote in the last chapter so just decided she would make it so they dont follow the same story progression. I was relieved to finish this book not because I loved it but because the errors were starting to weigh on me by the end. I really enjoyed the begining of the book despite everything but by the end it was too much and they rushed the story. In the end it had so much potential unfortunatly it just falls short.

Writing is good though there are things that are talked about before it ever happened - like the Chandler apologizing to Abbie a chapter before he actually does.

Could be dirty or spicier tho. Not a lot of dirty talk & smex scenes was pretty light for a RH.

Great start to the book and overall enjoyable story. Somewhere from chapter 40 onward the continuity got thrown out the window and it was like 5 people contributing ideas of where people are and what they’re doing in each sentence. It was so hard to keep up with what was happening and honestly started to ruin the book for me. It got more on track again but not completely. The last few chapters kinda just seem to exist as a way to end the book but also not. It ends but just in a way of being like, “yup. Stories over. No more pages.” It wasn’t very satisfying.

What kind of ending was that?!
The worst ending ever. The most abrupt that’s for sure. The book is great aside from some inconsistencies in the story and basically the same main spice scene back-to-back, but then you turn the page and the book is just…done. Not even solidifying their relationship really.

2.5 stars rounded up to 3. This book could use some editing. At some points it seemed the author forgot what she had written on previous pages. The storyline was good and with a little editing to clean it up, it could be a solid read. The spicy scenes were good but again a little diminished because of the editing which took away from them. Overall not bad but could be better.
