All I want is to be normal.

Especially since Flyn is back in my life. The man I used to admire from afar. The man who made me feel seen.

He’s everything I’m not. Sunshine, confidence, muscles for days. The perfect himbo. He thinks I’m a top. And maybe he’s right. I’ve never had a choice before.

But it doesn’t matter. Flyn won’t want me once he knows the truth of my past. No one ever will.

Born into captivity, I am the result of a breeding program to create a fey from humans with otherworldly ancestry.

Then I was sold to a billionaire as part of his harem of paranormal boys. It was a living hell, but the other boys became my found family.

Eventually, we were saved. I was free.

But the suffering wasn’t over, because the fey began whispering to me. Corrupting my will and pushing me to open a portal for them to return to Earth. Luckily, my friends helped me resist.

The whispers have quieted, and I think maybe, just maybe, my life can finally begin.

So I’ll savor Flyn’s attention while I can. Let myself feel something for the first time in forever.

Until he discovers my secrets.

Or,

until the fey start whispering again.

Unfettered Fey is the seventh and final book in the Found & The Unfettered series, which follows the lives of seven paranormal boys after they escape imprisonment in a billionaire's harem. The books are best read in order but can be enjoyed as standalones. There are no cliffhangers and happily ever after is always guaranteed.

Unfettered Fey includes,

A Golden Retriever, himbo of a human & a nervous Nellie fey.

A human who doesn’t know the paranormal world exists.

The one who got away.

First times.

Hurt / Comfort.

I have been LOVING this multi-series world the author built, and was really looking forward to spending a little more time here. (Especially because we already knew Flyn was a total golden retriever, and I adore that!)

Buuuuuuuuut... 🫤

The story was ok, Flynn was great, not much of interest happened plot-wise, especially given the fact that the series-arching issues have already been "spoiled" by some of the other books. Mostly, though, the writing was just really off. It didn't feel like the same author-voice and was really a slog to get through.

If this had been a standalone read or my first from this author, I think it would have been a DNF for me. Despite the way the narrative tone dragged, though, it was still fun to be back in this world, so I'm not disappointed that I read it even though it is by far my least favorite of this author's catalog.

I'll go with 3 stars for my final "meh" rating, and keep all fingers crossed that once we get Laurie's book 😍 the author will get their groove back 🤞🤞🤞

Jade is weighted down by guilt, he almost destroyed the human world.

He’s not human, he’s half fey, a former sex slave. He desperately wants to be normal, have a partner, and be happy. But knows he’ll never.

He’s free now but still feels locked up. Meeting his lovely ex-colleague Flyn again makes him anxious and happy at the same time. Flyn knows nothing about the supernatural world, imagine him knowing Jace is a fey, a fey who could ruin the world.

Flyn is so happy to see Jace again, he just disappeared more than a year ago. He tried to find him but couldn’t. There’s something sad about Jade, he wants Jade happy.

The Fey are trying to make Jade open the gate to the human world so they can take over this world.

I won’t spoil what happens.

Love among the supernatural friends and their lovers is fierce, they are protective and want the best for each other. Jade is going through a tough time, thank goodness for his friends and especially his lover Flyn!

The series Unfettered… is finished, I read and loved every single one. The concept was super original. It was entertainingly written and had all the feels.

Jade and Flyn are my favorite S. Rodman couple to date. (I'm so very sorry Mabon & Blake / Llywelyn & Ethan). They were just so gooey & sweet. Flyn was exactly what Jade needed and came back into his life at just the right time.

Flyn was sunshine in human form. His exuberance for life could be felt throughout. His dedication and love for his Jadey was so sweet. 🥺

This was a great ending to the series. I am very sad to see it go but I kind of hope for some cameos in the next Fey Lords book 🤞🏻

Unfettered Fey is the 7th and final book in the Found & Freed: The Unfettered series. This book can be read as a standalone but in my opinion the series is best read in order. This is the story of Jade a half human/half fey and Flyn a human. I loved these two as they figure things out. Jade has had so much happen to him in his life and things are still happening. I just love how Flyn wants Jade to be happy. Flyn is sunshine personified. I hate to see this series coming to an end as it has been one of my favorite S. Rodman series. I would definitely recommend this book and series.

Yay Jade and Flyn

Jades' story is finally here and it's so bittersweet because yay for him getting his HEA but also our time with the boys and their little found family is over.

It's been so nice being able to see these characters overcome the awful things that happened to them in the first book and how they've begun to heal and make lives for themselves.

I received an advance review copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily. All thoughts are honest and my own.

I will say the earlier interactions between Jade and Flyn read pretty awkward but I feel that might have been on purpose?

I do wish we would have gotten a tiny bit more of their lives separately before they met again so it didn't feel like we were just thrown into the middle of the story.

I loved Flyn and feel like he was perfect for Jade and thought he navigated the darker parts of the story really well.

I felt so much for Jade and the struggle his life was to finally be free.

I think this story would feel more high stakes if you haven't read any of the fey series. Otherwise it is a little bit anticlimactic because you technically already know mostly how it ends because that series is in the future you're just seeing parts of how you got there. Which is not necessarily bad I just feel like the ending doesn't hit as hard, you're not surprised or really shocked by what is happening because it's already explained in the other series first.

Before the book starts the author does have the timeline written and this book does happen at the same time as two of his other books in two other series and I'm really interested to see how much overlap there is and if it'd be possible to tandem read them. I think if it's possible it would be a fun way to see the whole story come together and then going back to the fey series and seeing the end result.

All in all I really enjoyed this series and these characters and am going to miss reading about them.

I hope as the Fey series continues we might see a cameo or two so we can catch up and see how they're doing. I'm excited to see the rest of what the author is going to do with this world.

UNFETTERED FEY is the seventh and final book in the Found & Freed series. I haven't read any of the others, but thought I would try this one after the author said they could be enjoyed as standalones.

Jade is the last of the paranormal boys to find love, and to be honest, he doesn't believe he deserves it anyway, not after nearly opening a Fey portal. That changes when he runs into Flyn, an old work colleague he had a crush on. It turns out that the crush was reciprocated, and they reconnect, albeit only as friends(!!!) We all know how that's going to turn out!

Jade and Flyn are total opposites but complement each other in pretty much every way. Although they try to take it slowly, events happen that speed things up. I loved that Flyn searched for Jade, not happy until he knew he was safe.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend this book as a standalone, as I feel there were events mentioned in here that I knew nothing about. I also found it a little difficult to fully grasp the connection between the boys, as I wasn't 'there' for anything they went through. And trying to remember who was with whom was just too much, and I stopped trying.

Saying that, I still enjoyed this story and would definitely read this series from the beginning. Recommended for those who have read the previous books.

** Same worded review will appear elsewhere. **

I'm sad to say goodbye to a series I have enjoyed so much, but this last book leaves everyone in a good place while at the same time setting up the next series.

Jade part fey, part human and has been haunted throughout the series by voices from the fey world urging him to open a portal that would allow them to take over the human world. For some of the series, Jade was on the run and very much a background character, though the author did find ways to keep him relevant, so I was interested in his story. Full disclosure: I didn't read every book in the series. Still, I didn't feel like I was missing anything because the author did a pretty good job of summarizing details without making the story drag.

Jade is a bit of a gloom and doom character after everything he'd been through, but I wouldn't call him grumpy. He is sweet and quiet. His love interest, Flyn is the opposite. He is loud and happy and quick to love. The romance in the story developed very quickly.

Even with the concern over Jade letting the fey into the world, the story was low angst and surprisingly low stakes. Everything was resolved very quickly and the ending did feel rushed.

My favorite part of the story was all the cameos by Gray. He was by far my favorite character in the series and I loved all the little glimpses of him. I don't know that I am invested enough in the series or the characters to follow them into the next series that will revolve around the fey in the human world and Monty's brother. But I'll definitely read this author again.

Do I love the unfettered series? Oh -insert lots of words of emotional conviction here -yes! Very much! And I'm happy and sad that it's now coming to an end. I have read some of the books several times and will certainly pick them up again and again. Does that say something about me, that these books are my comfort books? Possibly, but I couldn't care less. But now to Jade.
Did I only notice him in passing at the beginning? Possibly, and I really apologize for that.
Did I hate him a little bit in Ned's story? So much! Do I want to apologize for that? Well, maybe a little, but at the time I was just mad!
But now... Oh Jade. You have really grown on me and I would really like to give you a big hug and tell you that you are seen and that you are so important to us. The Boys and me and everyone who will read you.
Flyn, on the other hand, more than surprised me and in so many ways that at one point I just have a grin on my face. He's a perfect match for Jade and I'm so glad Grey asked first when they were baking cookies back in the day. Imagine if he'd just gone and done it, it would have been unthinkable.
But before I get even more excited... We know that the Fey will return, which makes the story and Jade's dark thoughts even heavier but also makes their story sweeter.
My personal favorite remains Grey closely followed by Red and Pink, but surprisingly then comes Jade.
A wonderful conclusion to the series and I'm sure I'll read it again and again.

In my opinion, this series gets better and better with the addition of each new book. Especially because of the focus on a different couple every time. This author somehow simultaneously also manages to perfectly blend timelines and storylines from their previous works.

In this book, I constantly admired so many of Flyn's personality traits and his outlook on life. When he said" But through the craziness, I get to have Jade, so it is all very much worth it", I instantly thought about how much it would mean to me if a partner felt that way. He truly seemed so accepting, kind, and loving, regardless of what situation came his way. I wish I had his attitude. He was such a good character who always was thinking of Jade and how to cheer him up.

Jade's circumstances really got to me emotionally because once you are in a negative headspace or situation, I know from experience, how difficult it is to break out of it. What someone is going through can truly feel never ending. It is easy to see yourself as trapped.

I don't know what resolution I was expecting, but this ending by far was one of my favorites. I need to know what happens next. Thank you for allowing me to read an ARC for free. These are my honest feelings about and review for this story.

I haven’t loved the last few books in the series, but I wanted to finish it out because I generally enjoy Rodman’s work. I am so glad I did! Jade’s story was fantastic. It definitely has less heat that most of the others in the series, but there’s so many other things going on that I didn’t miss it

Jade and Flyn are complete opposites. Flyn spends a lot of time building Jade’s self esteem and making him realize he’s worthy of love. But Jade also puts a lot of effort into making sure Jade is taken care of

We got a little bit of a catch up with the other paranormal boys as well. They don’t feature super heavily in the story, but they are definitely around. I wouldn’t recommend this be read as a stand alone. There’s several events from previous books that the reader needs to be familiar with to understand this story

This was a strong end to the series! There was a lot of action, a bit of spice, plus some sweet moments. There’s connections to some of Rodman’s other series, which I always enjoy. I’m definitely going to miss these boys, but I’m looking forward to Laurie’s story!

Finishing a series is always bittersweet (or should be, if it's a good one!) and Unfettered Fey, which is book 7 in the Found & Freed series wraps things up nicely for this one, whilst having its own independent storyline (like all the books) following the MC on his personal path to love and acceptance following the release of all 7 of the series' MCs escaping the harem-style prison of evil billionaire Ritchie. (phew that was a long sentence!) Jade - the Fey of the title - was for me the least sympathetic of all the series characters, largely because of how he behaved towards my beloved Ned (aka don't-call-me-Indigo, aka Unfettered Vampire, book 5) so I did wonder how Rodman was going to make me fall in love with him, but I shouldn't have doubted. Despite the darkness that is in the characters' pasts, and the threat of Fey rule imposing itself on the world, the book dances a happy path of fluff and hurt/comfort and - like all the series - was devoured by me in a single sitting. Start with book one - Unfettered Omega - for sure, to understand what on earth is going on outside Jade and his adorable himbo Flyn, as there's a lot of backstory to get!

Jade longs for a normal life, especially now that Flyn—his sunny, confident crush—is back. Though Flyn sees strength in Jade, Jade is haunted by a traumatic past: born from a twisted breeding program meant to create fey from human bloodlines, then sold into a billionaire’s paranormal harem. His only solace came from the brotherhood he found among the other captive boys. Though they were rescued, Jade’s mind still bears scars. He hears the sinister whispers of the fey, trying to manipulate him into opening a portal to Earth. His friends helped him resist—but the threat still lingers. Now, with the whispers dormant, Jade clings to a fragile hope for something real with Flyn. But the fear remains: Will love survive the truth of his past—or the return of the whispers?

I loved this story with the final former harem member finding his soul mate. The torment from the relentless pursuit by the fey was interesting and the later twist was a surprise. I also loved the way that this story pulled in connections to other series by this author. A lot of well written emotions and feelings. This was an MM story with mature content.

I really enjoyed this series and this final book was highly enjoyable.
I really loved how the found family played a huge roll in this and all previous books in the series.
As for this book, there are so many intense emotions throughout that will tug your heartstrings and keep you engaged in the story - as will the MC's.
Jade broke my heart with his backstory and how fearful he was of the fey taking over his body and actions again.
Flyn has an exhuberant attitude, the ability to make others happy, and a willingness and determination to stand by and with Jade.
They are both sweet and made a formidable couple, growing together as they faced what was happening together.
There are so many wonderful secondary characters that add so much personality and depth to this story, including the found family and their significant others, as well as the new additions to their group.
I would definitely recommend this book, and the entire series.

I received an ARC from BookSirens, this is my honest opnion.

Jade had to leave his job without warning and go into hiding after the Fey tried to use him to open the portal. He vanished without a trace, and for a whole year, Flynn had no idea what happened to him. So when Flynn unexpectedly bumped into Jade at the mall, he was filled with overwhelming joy.

Jade had convinced himself he would never be happy, but Flynn broke down every wall he’d built. It was heartwarming to see Jade finally allow himself to care again, especially for someone like Flynn.

As with all the other books in this series, the Boys stuck together like a true found family. I was genuinely sad to see the series end, but also incredibly happy knowing each of them got their well deserved HEA. After everything they went through, they earned it.

I highly recommend reading these books in order to fully appreciate every connection, every hardship, and every triumph. Trust me—you’ll fall for each of the Boys just like I did.

Seventh and finale of series (Found & Unfettered). Paranormal. Former coworkers. Hurt/comfort. Found family. Dual POV.

Flyn had a massive crush on his call center coworker until he suddenly disappeared, but now he’s found Jade again and he feels so lucky for another chance. Jade is trying to recover from his past as a harem prisoner as well as being a pawn of the fey, and there’s something about Flyn’s golden retriever personality that allows Jade to be himself.

There is a real sweetness to Flyn and Jade’s relationship, just like many of the other former harem men, there is some personal growth and self doubt to overcome for Jade and Flyn makes it easier. Both Flyn and Jade jump into the possibility of forever, even with obstacles, and Flyn is wonderful in his ready acceptance of all things supernatural and especially all things Jade. Overall, I am sad this series is ending, but really enjoyed each of the harem getting their own special HEA.

A Magical Unicorn of a Finale

Unfettered Fey

S Rodman

This final book in the Rainbow Harem series, takes place across a few previous books and ends not long after the fey have come through the portal to Earth.

Jade is part fey and is living in the house with the other men and their significant others.

He's in town when he unexpectedly runs into human Flyn, who he worked with at the call centre.

A coffee soon turns into dinner and more.

But the fey are still sending nightmares Jade's way and for some reason, his boyfriend Flyn still wants him and supports him.

I don't want to say much other than Flyn is a golden retriever of a guy, his family are great and there's lots of shenanigans with Lello and the others.

Plenty of steam, sweet moments, past trauma and grief but we end up with a HEA and a hint about Monty's missing brother.

A great end to this series.

I am absolutely obsessed with this one! I think Jade is the most relatable of the mc's at least for me anyways. To see him get the adorable golden retriever that is Flyn is absolutely perfect. I love love LOVE how utterly obsessed Flyn is with Jade. Flyn is so cute always trying to act cool while totally freaking out internally about what Jade is thinking. I also love how clueless Jade is to Flyn's internal roller coaster, it's adorable. As for the series as a whole, I think it was perfectly wrapped up, though I'm sad that it's the end. The world building is immaculate as always! I love how we get bits of information for other books or series through all of the books in the series. I received an advanced copy for free and am leaving this review because these books and characters are well and truly absolute favorites of mine! I am so happy to see a big happy family for Jade where he knows he is cherished, and for poor Flyn to finally get his dream man!

What a great way of finishing this series. This is a wonderful story, it has all, joy, sadness, feelings, growth, magic, found family,...
I was fearing Jade's tale, because he was the most unknown in the house, with being in the run for so long we had few hints about him, but in this novel S. Rodman describes him perfectly, you grow to love him very soon.
Same with Flynn, who despite being only human he's magical in a sweet, tender way.
Their love pulses in the book, you feel it growing and evolving.
The saddest part is told in very few pages, but very well done, it's not necessary to dwell on it more when less words do the work.
The ending is in line to everything we know about the fey in their books, and keeping Laurie as a tentation to keep reading is clever.
I highly recommend this series.

That’s such a lovely, emotionally rich idea — it sounds like the perfect bittersweet yet hopeful close to a fantasy story. 💫

So Jade is half-fey, and there's this looming threat that they want to use him for something dark or dangerous — that creates such high emotional stakes. The idea that love could be a redemptive force here, especially a second chance at love, adds a beautiful layer of depth.

Flynn being cute, flirty, and maybe just the right kind of bold to pull Jade out of his guarded, possibly sorrowful state as a Harem Boy — that has real romantic tension and potential. Maybe Flynn sees past Jade’s fey lineage and all the baggage that comes with it, seeing instead someone worth fighting for, someone worth belonging to. And maybe that’s what Jade has needed all along — not just protection, but someone to be his home.

While the novel Unfettered Fey by S. Rodman falls outside my usual genres, I must say that, despite any misgivings, I found it an easy book to enjoy. The central character, Jade Freeman, a paranormal Fey, is dangerous due to his connection with otherworld Fey, who will use him to enter the human world and assume control. Accidentally, Jade re-encounters Flyn, a human he met before going into hiding to evade the Fey who are haunting him. The attraction is still there, and this time Jade is ready to do something about it.

Unfettered Fey is a well-paced, enjoyable trip into the world of paranormal, and I can happily recommend it.

Okay I absolutely loved this book and how these two got their... second chance? But now I'm just so damn sad that it's over as I've been following and reading along as they've all escaped and met their mates and got their HEA.

So this one was just a little bittersweet honestly. I loved these two, I loved how Flyn was just so thrilled to see him again and even admits he tried finding him after Jade quit his job, which is how they originally met. How Flyn flirts his little heart out and Jade is utterly confused on whether or not he's actually flirting made me CACKLE.
I just honestly adored how much Flyn loved Jade and how he would stay with him, even in the basement and until the end. I was so excited because now we know how Fey Lords start!

In Jade's book of the series, he runs into a past coworker Flyn. Flyn who is a big himbo and flirted with him constantly, acting like Jade was a real person that was desirable for himself. Jade, the half-fey who was a harem member. It's a beautiful love story with Flyn, ever faithful, devoted and loving and Jade, insecure, fearful and so needy. The loyalty displayed by Jade's friends and Flyn 's family is epic. I so loved the series, the concept and the interrelated books. It's so original, creative and emotional. I am a true fan. I received a copy of this through BookSirens and this is my voluntary opinion.

Let me start by saying I love S. Rodman. Their works are my go-to comfort reads because of the heart and humanity in each book. Unfortunately, this one fell flat for me, not that Jade or Flyn are unlikable or annoying or anything. It just could have used some more editing and proofing before publishing. Over use of phrases and sentence structure types made the reading process a little monotonous. However, the underlying story of Jade and Flyn was no less sweet and wholesome as they deserved so even with the need for a touch more reworking, this book is sweet and worth the read. I canNOT wait for the next one S. Rodman puts out!!

I really loved this book, and it was a great conclusion to the series. It did feel a lot shorter than the previous books, as most of the plot regarding Jade happens in the lead up to his story, so I definitely wouldn’t recommend reading this book as a standalone. That being said, I think Flyn was the perfect love interest for Jade, he is such a golden retriever and is so devoted. This book was really sweet, and I can’t wait for Laurie’s book!

I've read most of this series and enjoyed them all. Jade has had to wait until last so he's had a long wait for his happy ending! He feels very lonely having seen all his friends find love but also feels undeserving of it himself. Fortunately Flynn, a normal human he used to work with in a call centre, comes back into his life. Flynn is just a lovely person and he and Jade get to explore a relationship together. This series links with others by the same author so we may get to see them again - and I really want Monty's brother Laurie's story too!

S. Rodman's Unfettered Fey was fantastic! I loved the relationship between Jade and Flyn. The Spicey aspects start off sweet and warm and eventually they fall in love and their passion for each other spikes red hot! I enjoy that their partners pleasure is their focus! I love reading books by this author because it feels very real. Real reactions to circumstances that are unexplainable and hard. You will want to give this book a read. I think you will really enjoy it.

Jade, part fey and rescued from a harem is trying to find his way in the normal world. He caries guild for his past actions and does feel self-conscious about his looks due to his fey ancestors.
Flyn is a former co-worker with a confident and joyfull personality. When he bumps into Jade by chance he decides he will do anything to keep in contact with him.
A sweet story! I love how Flyn always does his best to try and cheer Jade up when he's down.

I got an ARC in excange for an honest review. And I like this book, I've liked it a lot.
I don't really understand how can this book have 200 pages, as the story is very short, only getting plot-heavy about 75% into the novel. Even then I was never bored, as the snail pace leaves a lot of room to flesh out the characters and to give the finising touches on this series, which I will miss. It's a quick read in that sense.
It's theoretically a stand alone, but to be honest I don't think it's enjoyable like one. It's book 7 on a series for a reason.

This is the final book in the “Found and Freed: Unfettered” series and we get to see Jade get his well deserved happy ending. I like the way that Jade grew from being a closed off character who felt he was unworthy of love to fully embracing his found family. Flyn and Jade’s relationship was sweet. I especially liked the way that Flyn helped Jade to fully embrace his true nature.

I liked the way that that S. Rodman left bread crumbs for the books in the Fey Regency series.
