Hemingway the cat knows exactly how his bookstore should be run. After all, he's been supervising the humans for seven impeccable years. With carefully curated sunbeam schedules and book rearrangements, he maintains the perfect balance his kingdom deserves.
But when a notebook-clutching teenager with fear in her scent and a quiet boy with graphite-smudged fingers disrupt his meticulously organized domain, Hemingway faces a challenge beyond his usual scope. These humans are hiding something beneath their oversized sleeves, and they're clearly in need of intervention—feline intervention.
Through calculated book-toppling, strategic positioning, and the occasional sacrifice of his dignity, Hemingway orchestrates a plan that will either restore proper order to his realm or create chaos beyond even his considerable management skills.

I’m basically in love with all of the “Leafwood Falls” books and this short story sums up everything I love about these books. First Hemingway the cat large and in charge🙂. The feeling of community that each book encompasses. The way characters who are so very integral to this little village. It’s not perfect, just like life isn’t perfect but they always find ways to work together to overcome the obstacles that face them. I highly recommend this series if you want to read about characters that may be flawed just like us but who always find the heart to carry on.

Amo a atitudes dos gatos, que sempre agem na certeza de serem donos dos espaços onde moram. Neste livrinho, ela não apenas comanda o espaço, ele ainda se mete na vida das pessoas, ajudando-as enquanto finge total indiferença. Muito bom.
