The jokes in this book are just HORRIBLE I do not agree with them I was reading and I said in my mind blah blah blah. I hope the jokes I never hear again.

Unlike the Cricket joke book, this volume should NOT be read in a single go. Even dipping into it, or searching by subject (since the book includes an index), I think even the most broad-minded 7- or 8-year-old would be hard-pressed to find a lot of funny stuff in here.
The jokes are arranged alphabetically according to who or what is knocking. There are a few examples of jokes to be told in sequence, and many are plays on song lyrics that most readers won't understand.
Near the end, one joke summed my sentiment up to perfection:
"Knock knock.
"Who's there?
"Venice.
"Venice who?
"Venice these knock knock jokes going to stop."
