It’s incredible how simple life becomes by the time you’ve hit the bottom of a bottle of wine. Worries and humiliation disappear, logic becomes muddled, but at the same time clarity takes control and that broken feeling seems just a tad bearable. Still the more I drank of that fine Italian Chianti, the more broken and stupid I felt--jaded, actually.

And then I saw her. Venus. The goddess. In her eyes, I could sense a deep understanding for my plight. She embodied grace and in her eyes, I sensed peace, love, and it gave me hope. A few sips later and I'm making a wish. And then he appeared; the most beautiful illusion that became a mistake I couldn't help but make over and over again.

The greatest love of my life is at arms reach and our future is just a dream.

Not sure how to review book when it's the beginning of the story plot. The characters might be interesting in the next chapter. But I'm just couldn't quite understand the story plot. Up and coming relator just got her invites to her upcoming wedding. She got a call from her fiancé who seemed excited, until she told him she bought the cutest mobile. She wanted a baby, and was planning ahead. He seemed aright with it. She wasn't getting any younger. Then during a staff meeting & the invites in her had. She gets a text that her fiancé cannot marry her & doesn't want to have children. He is staying an extra day in NY for her to move out of their apartment.
She is flabbergasted. Her best friend & other partner at the realtor tells her she can stay at her pool house. The drama of the day leads the lady to drink & walk the gardens. She was informed by her friend not to be worried if the gardener comes. But she forget to inform him that there would be a house guest. Instead he sees a drunken woman who falls into the fountain. The next that happens is they start making out.

I absolutely adored this book and couldn't put it down once I started reading it. Now, I'm hoping for Book 2 because I just can't get enough of Dayna and Ethan. I want so much more!!
