Rate this book
Gaia, now transformed by Marzolie’s gift, has provided some once-mortal beings with a godlike status. But when one ambitious god makes a perilous pact with the devil, Mephisto, allegedly gains access to Earth through the fractured Destiny timelines. The dark god now holds the Key to Destiny, and no one knows how or why.

Cassandra Angelis, an immortal with a mysterious past, is tasked with retrieving the Key- or at least information on who provided him with it. Joined by the insufferable Phantom leader Dexterious, she plunges into the universe known as the Dreamscape to handle two objectives- uncover the one who betrayed their world and hopefully buy Earth some precious time in the process. As Dexterious confronts his own past failures and Cassandra faces her inner demons, they must prepare for the imminent invasion. Which meant, other than sex, they had to learn to get along.

With Mephisto’s forces poised to strike, the original immortals face their greatest challenge yet. As the fate of Giyah (Earth) hangs in the balance, the true question Will they be able to stop Mephisto and save the Multiverse from his tyranny?

So this book delivered to my kindle back in December. However, when I first got it, there was these weird symbols and stuff. The author, apologized (ahem Britt) and following her sm I seen that her file was corrupted somehow. So she unpublished.

When it came back last week, I almost fell off the couch. So let me get into it.

Cassandra isn't my favorite heroine of the series. Her back story is somewhat alluded to, but it's fleshed out midway in.

Now, Dex - I love that mf. Seriously, I thought he was a new character, I had to re-read the last book to understand who he is, but I'm swoonish over him for sure.

We get to see Max and Kalion again. Oh, and Eudora's back. Yall, she's mated and it ain't Mephisto! Can I just say, I totally appreciate the author giving us a lesbian couple, and having them be like everyone else?

We learn some dirty shit about the UnMaker *and* the Maker. And there's two extra big bads that made my jaw drop.

The ending... It's not often a book makes me cry, but, I definitely bawwwwwwwwled.
I'm so thankful that Sims gives us Marvel vibes with her bonus endings now.

Hoping Destiny gets a story. A real story. One thing I do like about Sim's characters is the tons of layers they all have with each and themselves.

I can't wait for the next one. Like really can't wait!
