Two decades ago, the sky split open over a tiny town in middle America, and Creatures fell to Earth. Magic entered our world with a crack and a flash, and it hasn’t stopped since. The tiny town turned into a sprawling megalopolis of neon and steel almost overnight and the world was irrevocably changed.
Shaina Gilbert happens to like it that way. She likes the story book “monsters” made real, even more.
As a Lady of Laratia—a high end escort exclusively catering to non-human patrons—she specializes in the Creatures others are too scared to entertain. When a lich makes an offer, she’s delighted to make him hers for the night.

I really enjoyed this novella.

I had never read anything by Dalia or about a Linch creature before, but I was completely hooked by this story—I couldn’t stop reading or get enough of this magical, creature-filled world, full of spice and intrigue.
It’s an insta-lust romance that begins with Lady Gilbert’s encounter with her mysterious client, and in just one night, so much happens. Their connection is intense, and that one night only sparks their desire to explore more of each other.
I absolutely fell for Samiel—he has everything one could want. He’s fiercely protective, endlessly sweet with both his words and gestures, and when it comes to intimacy… let’s just say he knows exactly what he’s doing. Plus, he’s a true gentleman who always asks for consent.
Sure, meeting at a bachelor party might not seem like the ideal setup—but as the story unfolds, the reasons behind it all become clear.

I am a sucker for a good lich story. This one was fantastic! The lich is a very gruesome creature and I appreciate the descriptions of it in this book. The spice was also spicing, which is my favorite thing! I'm definitely getting this paperpack when it's available!
