I was born in Brooklyn New York, raised on the island of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. According to my father, I learned to read at three and wouldn’t allow him to skip a page of a story. I grew up raiding my mother’s stash of books and my Aunt Patsy’s extensive library. There, I developed my love of literature, and specifically romance.

Books transported me to different worlds, and encouraged me to learn about different cultures, continents, expanding my horizons. I currently live in Central Florida with my family and our interesting pet pooch Maya.

Excellent read if you're looking for a short and engaging paranormal romance.

Ria is the only half-human in a large pack of werewolves, which places her at the bottom of the totem pole. Drake is the pack alpha who has loved her for years but held himself back. Now that he's ready to start courting her, he's finding it hard to get her to take him seriously.

There's a lot going on here, which keeps the pacing pretty fast. Combining Ria and Drake's personal issues, a side character causing problems for Ria, and other wolves attacking pack members, this is not a read that drags. I enjoyed all the different plot threads, however I wasn't prepared for the abrupt ending. I would almost call it a cliff-hanger but I hesitate to do that as I felt most of the main elements introduced in "Full Circle" had been resolved, including Ria and Drake's story. (I tend to associate cliff-hangers with not feeling satisfied at the end of a story, which was not the case here.) So while I enjoyed Ria and Drake, I'm kind of hoping that the next book in the series will expose us to a different couple and provide a little more insight into the world Thomas has chosen to center these stories in.

All in all, I enjoyed the different dynamics between the cast and thought that Ria and Drake were both very well drawn characters who were trying their best to deal with their own (and each other's) anxieties. I look forward to reading more of this series in the future.

3.5 MATED STARS

Ria is half werewolf and feels like she's the lowest in stature to her Pack. Yet, she's in love with her Alpah, Drake. What she doesn't realize is he's in love with her as well. He's spent years giving her space to grow and possibly even leave the Pack for a different life. Now that she's fully part of them, he's ready to claim her as his mate. He just hast to get her to believe it.

At the same time, there's been a series of attacks by lone wolves in the area. When one of their own attacks Ria, Drake has to figure out whats actually going on.

I liked this. It had angst, love and action. It is a novella, so at times I felt that things were being glossed over or moved two quickly in order to move the story forward. I also don't like that it ended where it did, in order to create suspense for the sequel. I don't know how many books are planned in the series, but It should have been a full book, therefore not glossing over things as well as jumping to the next moment too quickly.

I did like the dynamic between Drake and Ria, James and Ria, as well as Ria with the Pack as a whole. She felt one way, but they saw it as caring for her. It was sweet. I would definitely read the sequel, because I must read what happens.

Full Circle is a perfect example of what a novella length book should be. It's a compact but full telling of a story that left me happy to have read it as well as wanting more. Although Thomas could not have possibly given as much detailed background information on Ria and Drake that I would have liked in such a limited amount of space, she gave enough for the reader to understand their history and the dynamics between the two of them. This was a wonderfully sweet paranormal romance and the first time that I have given a novella a 5 star review! Kudos to Chudney Thomas for making such a short story so satisfying! Full Circle is a quick afternoon read and I look forward to reading more in this series.

Loved it

half wolf and half human Ria is also the Alpha mate. She doesn't want to believe it but Drake shows her. Something is happening in their world and after a lone wolf attacks in public and another pack member attacks the alphas mate. Who do they trust? Couldn't put this down and now I need to read the rest in this series.

This is a short read and I'm many ways a precursor of much more to come . The synopsis does a good job of explaining what the book is about but I do feel that the hero Drake is far more likeable than indicated as he does not see the heroine Ria as just an "easy lay", on the contrary he knows that she is his mate!
Ria is half human and half werewolf but always seems to be at the bottom of the pecking order in her pack because of it. She has been attracted to her Alpha Drake for as long as she can remember but has come to realise that her feelings for him are very real but there's no way that she will ever admit it. Avoiding Drake as much as possible is Ria's solution but strangely it seems as if Drake has deliberately decided to hunt her down!
Drake knows that his duty to his Pack is all encompassing but his own inner beast is clamouring to finally claim his mate. Drake has known for many years just who he is meant to be with but has kept his distance and allowed the sweet unassuming Ria to grow up and spread her wings . Now all bets are off as he can scent her desire for him and it's making him hungry! Ria may feel she is no match for an Alpha but in light of recent attacks Drake knows the time has come to stake his claim , now all he has to do is catch her!
This is a very quick tale and surprisingly packed in quite a lot. It's clearly the beginning of a series and if you enjoy short sexy stories with a paranormal twist then this should appeal. It is written with passion and there is a strong sense of sexual tension but if you prefer those sort of "encounters "to be restrained then you will enjoy this. Sexy but not overly descriptive I think would be a fair description.
Ria is a heroine that many will find attractive as she is selfless and compassionate but do not fear as Ria has backbone and is prepared to step up when she has to. Drake came across to this reader as a very intelligent Alpha with an acute sense of duty and it was pointed out several times that the Pack chose him to be their Alpha. I feel the couple still have a lot to learn about each other but if the author writes a follow up book then it will be very interesting to watch the dynamics change .

Full Circle is a novella (about 75 pages) and part of a series. Two things that I'm generally not a fan of, but this is a new author for me and since I had the opportunity to give it a try I figured why not? I'm going to keep this review short and sweet (really, I am!) so I'll jump right in.

What it's about: This is a paranormal story with werewolves at the center. We have an alpha werewolf named Drake and a half-human/half werewolf woman named Ria. Because she is basically human, Ria is the person that everyone seemingly takes advantage of. She's okay with this for the most part having accepted her place. She is completely in love with the pack alpha however, but she feels that he couldn't want her and even if he did she couldn't be his mate because - well she's basically human. Drake sees things differently and knows that Ria is his mate. He's been in love with her for years and thinks its time she finds out. Drake chases, Ria runs from the truth, and in the meantime trouble is brewing in the form of a mystery that is affecting some wolves.

The Good: This isn't a bad first novel. It is a short book but the author makes good use of the limited pages. I feel that I got a fair idea of who the characters are, the writing flows, and the mystery is a good set-up for future story-lines in the series.

The Bad: Nothing stood out for me. It wasn't terribly creative or unique. At this stage paranormal romances need to come out with something new and creative or they need to stay home. Pretty much everything has been explored to death in this genre and a new novel has to step it up. This didn't and it isn't memorable in the least. I have to also say that Ria irritated me. I wanted to shake her through most of the book. She wanted the man and he more than showed that he wanted her. Take him!! Her insecurity was annoying.

The Bottom Line: Full Circle is a good enough story to pass the time. It definitely isn't terrible, but I can't say that I'll be keeping an eye out for the next one. Definitely not a love for me, but not a hate either. It just was.

I'm rating Full Circle 2 out of 5

Originally reviewed for Tea and Book.

You have to hand it to an author who can capture my attention in 75 pages. Yet that is exactly what Chudney Thomas did in Full Circle.

Full Circle is the opening novella in her Central Florida Pack Series and it really captured my attention.

Ria Marlet feels she is at the bottom of the pack hierarchy.. way below Omega wolf. She's half human and half werewolf and has always felt on the outside looking in. In order to make herself feel more a part of the pack, she has become go to central. The person who watches the babies, picks up the drunks, deals with the construction crew, cooks the pack meals, etc.. Everyone takes advantage of her giving personality. Never realizing that Ria feels she doesn't belong. All would be well if Ria could just get over that pesky crush on Pack Alpha Drake Neilson. After all he would never mate with a human.

Drake Neilson has known Ria Marlet was his mate since she was 17 years old. He has waited, sometimes even patiently. But he knows that Ria has been lusting after him (darn wolf sense of smell) and knows it's time he made his move. The only person he has to convince is his mate. Everyone else already seems to be clued in.

Short and sweet Ms. Thomas manages to instill a sense of epic romance between these two wonderful characters AND tease us about what's to come in the upcoming series. There is drama, there is jealousy, there is intrigue and there is a sweet unfurling of love awakening.

An Excellent Read.

Well, I knew this was short, and I usually avoid them but the sample sounded fun so...and it was a fun, a quick read, but simply not long enough for a solid story IMO. Its my fault, I knew it was short and this is why I try not to select them, but have found a few I liked. I did enjoy this, just felt it would have been better for me if it was longer. It certainly has the right kind of setting and characters for more – and I do so love those great “bitch” characters such as Sheena...
Drake was a good lead, but for someone so wise, mature, solid he seemed to lose all sense when it came to Ria. She was a good character too, fitted perfectly in her role in the story. I could see her dilemma, attracted to Drake for ages but she’s only half werewolf, and he’s Alpha, and needs a strong mate. She doesn’t see herself as being fit for that role, but she’s wrong. Her way of making her own place in the pack all these years has brought her a lot of respect, and she knows the Pack and each persons strength and weakness.
I’m not sure if this is an opener to a new series? I’d love to read more if so, if the books are full length and not novellas. They are perfect for many readers and very popular just not for me.
If you like shorts, and want an easy to read, well written paranormal romance this book is perfect.
Stars: Four – fun and sexy short read.

Tired of waiting for Ria, Drake will do whatever it takes to woo Ria and with the pack in danger Ria is forced to face what Drake’s been telling her all along in this captivating paranormal romance.

Being half-human, Ria’s never fit in with the pack and she knows that Drake needs a strong alpha female by his side. The reader can’t help but get caught up in the story as Drake decides enough is enough and ups his pursuit of Ria and the fast paced and smooth flowing plot captivates readers with lots of suspense and romance as these strong compelling characters struggle with their relationship despite the red hot chemistry.

There is danger to the pack and Drake has to find who’s behind the attack while fighting Ria’s denial, little does he know that the danger may be closer to home than he thinks and spine tingling suspense builds throughout the story drawing the reader in.

The author has created an intriguing shifter world with captivating characters and although too short, there is never a dull moment and I was caught up in the story until the very end.

First Thought: "Now this is good reading!!!"

Second Thought: "Where is the rest? Gotta have more!"

More Detailed Thoughts: Wow! I loved, loved, loved this book. It was everything that I like and go for in a para-sci-fan. It had romance and chemistry, conflict and challenge, an unknown force of darkness looming, the threat of death hanging in the air as a potential external danger, loyalty and friendship... I could totally go on.

The author had my attention fully from the beginning, and I have to tell you that I still want more. I am so in on this one. Surely the next short or long story, for tht matter, is pending. Due out soon! Right? Please say yes because I am all over it as soon as I receive word. BAM!

Thoughts: Okay - the bad news? This is not going to be one of those stand out paranormal/shifter books that has you clamoring for more or has you raving about what an awesome read it was. The good news? It's a decent read, short read that may just get better as the series goes on.
If I'm being honest, this one falls a little into forgettable territory. In a genre with shifters and supernatural beings - that is rife with so many possibilities - there is nothing that really stands out. There is not a whole lot of action or drama...mostly just Drake trying to convince Ria that she is his mate. What ground the author gains with the character of Drake, she loses with Ria. I didn't mind so much that she was a half-human/half-werewolf....she could still be a strong character. Unfortunately, she comes across as submissive, a doormat, and not capable of leading along-side the alpha. While I get that the Pack is supposed to see her that way, and that Drake sees more, I want to see what he sees in her....I want the author to show me the hidden depths of her character. Now, of course, this is a really short read...only 75 pages....which doesn't really lend itself to that kind of character development. Hopefully, we can see more growth of character (and of author) in future books in this series....and it is obvious that this is just meant to be the start of a bigger series. Let's hope the series gets better and better as it goes along...:)

"I'm the Alpha. I get busy and in order for me to be able to court you, one of us has to be available.
She blinked up at him. "You didn't just say that to me."...
"You expect me to be available whenever."
He sat back. The intensity of his gaze had her pinned to the seat. If took all she had to keep eye contact....
"Do you remember who I am?"
"I'm pretty sure some spoiled celebrity is wondering who stole their line right now."

FULL CIRCLE by Chudney Thomas is the thrilling debut novella in her new Central Florida Pack series. Thank you to Katie Reus for recommending this book and author! I knew I had to read it when I saw there's a wolf-pack in my neck of the woods -central Florida! I didn't really know what to expect, but found it to be a very enjoyable tale of intrigue and romance in an Orlando wolf-pack. Even though it's a relatively quick read at only 75 pages, it has a well-developed storyline with genuine characters and features intriguing pack dynamics.

This was a much needed read for me since I haven't read a paranormal romance in months. I really enjoyed this story. Ria is a half human pack member that is considered submissive and a low ranking pack member. She's been in love with her alpha for a long time and Drake (the alpha) has wanted her since she was 17 and has now decided to claim what's his. Ria is afraid of getting hurt and is doubtful that she's Drake's mate. She doesn't fell she is strong enough or dominant enough to help him lead the pack, but her pack members and Drake feel otherwise. Ria slowly realizes her worth and Drake proves to her time and time again that she is an integral part of the pack. Ria begins to trust again and learns her worth. Drake was just hot! I loved his dominance but I also loved how he backed off when Ria needed it. He gave Ria strength and confidence. The only thing that bothered me in this book was that the ending was rushed and I had no idea what the characters looked like. I had to go back to the cover to make sure this was an IR book. Besides that, I really enjoyed this story.

This was a fabulous first paranormal novella to begin a new series. At about 76pages, Full Circle is a fairly quick read and quite enjoyable. This story is written in both the POV of Ria (a half werewolf) and Drake (the lack alpha). Ria believes that her place within the pack is at the bottom, being submissive and taking care of everything that the other pack mates won't do. Drake believes that Ria is his mate and is willing to go to great lengths to prove it.

One thing I really enjoyed about this novella was the conflict that arises throughout the story. Usually most novellas fall flat because they don't have this conflict to spice things up, you won't find that in this book. While this book doesn't necessarily end it a traditional cliffhanger, Ms. Thomas definitely built it up in anticipation for the next book in the series. I can't wait to see what arises for Drake and Ria in the future.

This book was really short but packed with action. It's more of a novella length book than a full book and there's no dull moments which was nice. There's the main love story between Ria and Drake but also a back story that comes out of nowhere that you wonder why it's there but in the end it makes sense.

It's a nice hot read, the characters are keeping the story up. Drake is very alpha (besides being the alpha in the wolfpack) and Ria is coming out of her shell slowly which was nice to see her take her place in the story.

I didn't really feel this was a paranormal read which was weird because it's very much about werewolves. The story was enjoyable and I liked it despipte it being so short. I do want to know more about what happens to the characters as it ends on a slight cliffhanger.

I loved this book and I felt for Ria, and Drake he's just a demanding presence, "aren't you going to tell me why you're leaving?" Drake asked. He wasn't growling at her anymore. His voice was as gentle as she supposed one could make gravel." He has good intentions when it comes to his girl, "I know, but seeing as you view yourself as human, I decided that I have to court you before I can claim you as my mate." He's such a softie when it comes to Ria, "what, and have you pi**ed off at me? No thanks. I'd like to have my mate happy." She still had her purse on her shoulder. "Spend the day with me?" I can't wait to see if the author writes a book for the other characters I think she might because there was still some unexplained questions that weren't answered.

Good novella, I really enjoyed the romance and chemistry between Ria and Drake. Ria is half human living amongst a wolf pack, she has it pretty bad for Drake the alpha. Ria gets kind of taken advantage of by the pack because she can't shift and is only half wolf. Drake has it really bad for Ria and can't understand why she hesitates in accepting that they should be together.
There is a lot of really hot chemistry between Ria and Drake. Ria and Drake are both very good, realistic characters. There are no silly misunderstandings or really decisions on the part of either character that make the story unrealistic. Good read, hot love scenes, and I will look for more to read from this author.

This was an interesting werewolf short story, more like novella in length. I liked Ria and Drake, they had an amazing chemistry and it felt real. Unfortunately, this ends abruptly and now I am left waiting for the next part of this story and I need closure, ;). Ria, while rather timid was sweet and endearing, and Drake was an overwhelming alpha male, but with an inherent sweetness for Ria that I adored. If you are looking for a quick paced, quick werewolf romance than this does the job wonderfully, just be prepared for an abrupt ending.

This was a decent freshman effort brought forth by the talented Chudney Thomas. Although it wasn’t pitch perfect, it had its captivating moments of brilliance. I believe that as time goes by, that this inventive author will begin to hit her stride and produce books that will captivate her readers for hours on end. My only issues with the book, were the moments where the dialogue was somewhat stilted/robotic, and Ria’s questionable development as a half-breed were. Other than that, I liked it.

Giving this one: 3 solid stars.

Why?????

Why didn't I like this book, umm lets see, the main character for one. I found her ridiculously annoying, she made herself the weakling of the pack and was whiny when those around her took advantage of the situations. For two: if you grew up in and around this pack at some point you would have had to know something about how the males act when they find their mate, why was she constantly cowering and running from the alpha that she was so in love with, even after he told her she was his mate. If there's more to this series I won't be completing it. BOO ON THIS STORY!!!!

I met this author at a reader/author con. I had never heard of her before. She convinced me to give her book a try and I am glad I did.
I love shifter stories. Full Circle is a wonderful debut novella. Drake is a strong Alpha who has known for some time that his mate is the half human half wolf shifter Ria. He has waited for her to grow up and develop a sense of self. She has come back to the pack after college and her parents deaths. His wolf won’t wait anymore and he has to find a way to claim her without scaring the heck out of her.
I look forward to visiting this world again.

Ria is a half wolf, half human trying very hard to deny her love for the alpha in the pack she's in. She serves everyone by feeding and caring for all of the members, but doesn't know where she belongs. Drake is the pack leader and has been in love with Ria for a long time. After coming home for a pack circle he is determined to make Ria his, no matter what. I really enjoyed book in the series. It was cute and there was a little mystery to it with the attacks. I'd love to see more character development as the series progresses.

A quick read that I wish had been developed just a little more. I was also a little disappointed in the quite abrupt ending. I'll assume it will be continued in the next book. The Alpha, Drake, was a strong character, whereas, Ria needed to "man up". She was repeatedly told she was the Alpha's mate and yet her self esteem was so low she wouldn't believe it. Even at the end of the book she really hadn't accepted it. Not bad for a debut novel though.

I enjoyed this story. It was short, a little sexy with a dominating werewolf.
Drake is yummy. He eventually figures out when to pull back and not go Alpha on Ria.
Ria has had tragedy in her life and it makes her fear what may come in the future.
I do wish that we got more background on both characters as well as more into their relationship. It felt like just the tip of the iceberg. I am looking forward to more stories in this "pack" and by this author.

An outstanding piece of work!

I loved everything about this book! The story was interesting and engaging. It flowed smoothly without any dragging scenes. The characters were real, i felt like i knew them. They were fully developed and I felt connected to them. The dialogue was not stilted and felt natural. I hated that the story ended. You should read this book!

INTERESTING

This is a very interesting read. Drake and Ria are the couple in this story. Ria is hesitant to become the Alpha's mate but has loved him for so long. Drake has also loved Ria since she was seventeen. Finally the couple unite but there is a mystery concerning the lone wolves.

I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is a very short, quick read. There was not much story to it. I did like the kind of mating dance that the character's engaged in. However, this read more like a prequel novella than a first in a series. I just needed more.
