The culmination of the genre-bending Mother Trilogy. In the wake of Gaea's unthinkable revolution, alliances stand uncertain, all waiting to see what unfolds. Lyn of Nytaea turns her gaze skyward, toward the golden moon of Gaea, homeworld of the Cydenges. Behind the metallic beasts is an entity of whom only fables remain.

Back on Mani, monsters are stirring, and the forces of Dark and Silver are both closer and more volatile than ever. Will Rhidea's gambit pay off? Can Mani defend against the overwhelming might of the Gaean League?

Jacob Gamber grew up in Araluen, Alagaësia and Fablehaven, and spent the remainder of his childhood in rural Pennsylvania, telling stories to sheep. When the time came to embark on his own journey to a fantasy world, he botched it thoroughly several times and eventually got a full-time factory job. Presently, he lives in eastern Ohio with his wife and children. He enjoys music, role-playing games and puzzles, and is reportedly allergic to bad love triangles.

Jacob Gamber enjoys writing Fantasy and Science Fiction—usually erring on the side of Fantasy. As a Christian writer, he likes to uphold traditional values and biblical morality on the broad scale, but his stories are not allegorical and are mostly mainstream. He aims to challenge teen and adult readers with thought-provoking concepts and situations that could only arise in Fantasy, but without all the graphic content and tenuous morality commonplace in today's literature.

Early inspirations include C.S. Lewis, Brandon Mull, John Flanagan, Rick Riordan, Brian Jacque, Ursula K. Le Guin, Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson, to name a few. For more things writing-related, you can check out his personal blog, The Idea Engine, or subscribe to his monthly newsletter. His fantasy web novel, Tales from the Earthen Sky, can be found there or on Royal Road.

His YA sci-fantasy debut, Mani, was released Sept. 23, 2024, followed by Book Two, Gaea, on March 18, 2025. Book Three, Luna, releases in early 2026.

Hey, readers, Jacob here. I'll be posting updates along the way. The book description is not final, by the way.

07/31/2025: Completion! Draft 1.0 sits at 120,000 words (almost exactly), awaiting its benevolent author's return in the guise of a ruthless editor. I'll try my best, but I'm not very intimidating, so this may take some work. Stay tuned for more updates!

07/11/2025: Luna 1.0 is at 80% by current estimations. I've been outlining my prequel book, as well as taking notes for Luna 2.0 revisions, but I'm still hopeful that I'll finish the rough draft this month.

06/07/2025: 60%. Getting closer, though I may also end up finishing at a much lower word count, since I may end up adding as much as I take away in early edits.

06/07/2025: 53%. Busy week, but still got 10k words.

05/31/2025: 46% done—70,000 words. Got about 13k this week.

05/22/2025: 50,000 words today! That means 33.3333333% (rounded to the nearest ten-millions place) of the way done. It is growing only more apparent that I'll be doing some major revisions in the first couple rounds, but that's nothing new.

05/14/2025: Still chugging. 24% of the way done. No metal creatures have been harmed in production thus far.

05/7/2025: As of writing this, I'm 16% of the way through Luna, planning to finish drafting by mid-summer.
