Returning to Malja's world in Book 5 is at once comfortable, exciting, and new. Jaffe draws you in with his awkward yet loveable trio of heroes and keeps the story moving while his characters continue to grow and develop.

I put off finishing this book because I was just not ready for it to end. I am looking forward to reading the final Malja book soon.

I can and will never get enough of this magnificent trio and their adventures. I always enjoy the new characters and the old and i always enjoy the development of both Malja's strength, her relationship with Fawbry and Tommy and her emotions, which is very important in this one. Damn it, i just wish Stray could have survived. It's rare for Malja to not only respect but to like someone like she did him, he was a nice addition to the crew. I'm also scared for how Tommy's relationship is going to go but it shows that he's growing up even though just like Malja, as readers, we have this urge to protect him. I hope Fawbry, the ultimate player, does well in his relationship as well even though it seemed to come on a bit quick. Will Malja find someone? She doesn't have to as it's not really her style but i don't want Fawbry and Tommy taken away from her especially after coming into her emotions more and having her "They're all the family i need" moment.
