Pretty good..

I am a die hard of your books...because mainly I love your werewolf novels, this being my first vampire...I liked it...a little too dark sometimes but I get it they are vampires..it was a little long and I kinda felt it was drawn out on some parts...like the whole humanity thing but I loved the characters and it was definitely a page turner..Great job

Illaria and Luka are insanely hot. Their chemistry is OFF the charts, even with everything going on in their respective worlds. Their love story is dark, it’s twisted, there’s some crazy turns and surprises in there. And seeing all my faves from previous books always makes me so happy. I love me some Grandpapi Arius. This book is an absolutely MUST READ!!

Wow, what can I say- this book has had me captivated from the moment I started reading it! Aura Rose you never cease to amaze with your talented writing and brilliant mind.
I've laughed, cried, got mad , blushed (rather alot) so many times reading this story. I love how different Ilaria is from the other Roman-Blacks yet the same and love how luka/heath are just the perfect match for each other- both dark,mysterious, sexy and no F***K given but both have fierce loyalty to protect and love what's is theirs has no boundaries, they truelove are perfect SoulMates Thankyou so much for this and truely can't wait for what's next ♥️

I enjoyed The Last Alpha Trilogy series, and I am enjoying The New Generation Series. I like how the books are interconnected. The characters are sweet. Each book can be read independently. But I love reading the books in order and watching the characters evolve.

Ilaria Romano-Black is a strong, bad a** character. I adore our demon, Heath, and his dark passions. The way he is obsessed with her. I also love the dynamics between Ilaria and Vampire Luka! Lukas is a tortured soul who wants to protect Ilaria from his dark, monstrous self. The story is dark. Both Heath and Luka are possessive and territorial of Ilaria. I love the twists and turns of their story. It is a page turner...

not bad

Did I like it yes?

Did I get lost a few times? Yes.

There were a lot of things that I enjoyed. Reason for the 4 stars? I want fully invested the entire time I was reading. I will warn you this is a longer book. Almost 600 pages. So brace your self if that’s not your thing.

Apart of me feels like everything was answered so I’m not fully sure what would be left to go back to this world unless I missed something pertaining to the brother that was turned into a bird!

The author did a great job with the visuals that if your brain works that way you can keep up and see it play out.

And granny, I love granny!! She was probably my favorite character and tbh she wasn’t tha main focus here but she was awesome!

Now if supernatural is your thing because we have demons, vampires, wolves, hybrids, this is for you!

I love me an Aura Rose book. Her words build worlds that suck you right in. She creates characters that you connect with and feel like you know them personally.

Ilaria’s book has been a ride. I didn’t know what was going to happen and every chapter was exciting. Ilaria is a determined, headstrong, and fierce FMC. She will have everything she knows tested and she’ll make big decisions in this book. I highly recommend this book, it can be read as a standalone. Dark Souls is part of The New Generation from The Last Alpha Series. Enjoy the read and afterwards tell me if you’d sign up to be a snow angel. IYKYK. 😉

I wasn't too excited for this one as I haven't been interested in books that are focused on vampires in a long time. That said, Aura blew me away with this book. I didn't expect to love the main couple so much nor did I see many of the revelations that come near the end of this book coming. Amazing plot with a lot of surprises and absolutely fell in love with the main characters who I felt uncertain about when I started the book. I also only buy physical copies of book that I think are truly worth having for keeps (because I have way too many things in my house, lol), so the fact that I couldn't wait to purchase a physical copy of this book to go with the others in this series says a lot for me. Hope you will enjoy it as much as I did!! :)

Ok if you have no read this yet YOU NEED IT IN YOUR LIFE!!!! This story is absolutely AMAZING!!!! I can’t rave about it enough!!! who doesn’t love a Demon stalker, a tortured soul MMC and a badass FMC?! This book will have you hooked from the beginning and won’t let you go!!! The twists and turns!! The emotional rollercoaster all of it was AMAZING!!! Heathen is BY FAR my FAVORITE TO DATE in Aura’s universe. This can be read as a standalone but it is part of the Next Generation to The Last Alpha trilogy. Seriously GET IT YOU WILL THANK ME LATER!!!

This book is about Ilaria Romano Black and it's exactly what it claims to be: A Dark Vampire Demon story. If you love vampires, demons, magic, an unhinged morally gray MMC, a feisty and also morally gray FMC, super spicy scenes, then this book is for you. Aura Rose is well know for her beautiful writing style, immersive world building and shocking twists and revelations. The reason I am giving 3,75 stars is because I had a hard time connecting to the main characters of this book and the plot itself.

Another book added to my collection

I have been a huge fan of this author
since I first read her books on dreame. Every book she has written I have read but when it came to llaria story I was a little hesitant at first due to its dark nature. Oh boy was I wrong,never in a billion years would I imagine myself being in love with a demon. This story lives up to its name, it's dark, it's twisted, it's heartbreaking, it's full of romance, it's mind opening, it provides the perfect thrill. That keeps you coming back for more.

This is one of the best dark romances I have read. As to not spoil anything I don’t want to go into detail but just know the intimate scenes are everything you would expect and more, the dark parts of the book may be difficult to read but are completely worth it, and the twists that are sprinkled in the story will constantly keep you on your toes!!

All of Aura's books have been fantastic, but this one might be her best yet. The dark, broody, murderous MMC and the dark, loving, princess FMC. Loved everything about the book. The speed and storyline kept my attention.

I'm obsessed with this entire series. I literally wanted to cry as I was reading the last book (Leif's story). This one, though, was my favourite. Aura Rose's writing blew me away in Dark Souls and, as usual, the plot twists were crazy good. I will miss the entire Romano-Black family so much!!!

I’m not sure if I’m reading the same book as the other reviewers. I didn’t read any other books in this series and I find the FMC to be annoying especially at the beginning of the book (where I’m DNFing). Maybe I’ll revisit in the future but for now this is a solid no thanks.

This is a Dark Souls spinoff- If you haven’t yet read Dark Souls (Ilaria Romano’s story), back up and read that first! It gives much more context to this book, depth to the ML, and picks up right where Ilaria’s story ends. This review may contain spoilers in the Auraverse*

This book feels like a crossover of ACOSF (except the ML & FL personalities are switched) with a hint of The Ritual (Cat & Mouse, stalking, unhinged spice and gore). The ML (Zoran) is a tall, stacked, brooding vampire-demon hybrid (the very first of his kind) from Serbia, with the gruffness and social awkwardness of a cavemen- he’d spent the last three centuries of his life cursed as a raven. He is out for blood and on a mission to un-alive the witch responsible. The FL (Darcelle/Darcy) is a witty white witch on borrowed time, with a mission to complete a specific-timed ritual to save a raven before the agents of the Fates can kill her. Having followed the traces of magic from his curse, he ends up in a small English town where Darcy resides as a newspaper photographer. He stalks, harasses, and torments Darcy with every intention to make her lose her mind from fear and paranoia— even invading her dreams and manipulating them into nightmares. Little did he know, she’d be super into it and ends up only fueling the fire in her panties. “I knew I should have been terrified. I was. But I was also more aroused than I had ever been in my life.” (Darcy)

From the very first chapter, I was hooked. I love Aura’s writing, the way she embodies the characters in their POV and provides the reader with details that play out in your mind like a movie. The spice is top tier and not overdone (3.5-4/5🌶️ ). I am LIVING for the hilarious blooper moments between the two leads, despite the murderous energy. And of course, with every dark, broody, shadow daddy, there is a golden retriever friend who shows up at the right times to either ground them or to f* sh* up and party (yes, Leif). I could NOT put the book down, I highly recommend this

— This book is for you if you love: dark romance, supernatural/fantasy, fated, cat and mouse, smut, red flags, edging, dom ML, independent FL, cinnamon rolls that look like Viking gods that would literally rip out your heart and eat it then damn your soul to an eternity in the fiery pits of H, intense vibes with blooper moments, and if you are a living, breathing being in general.

I had an extremely hard time getting into this book. I gave myself a longer time frame to get into this book because I really wanted to love it, but I just couldnt. I can normally get through big books without a problem, but this was dragging on for me. I had to DNF it. Maybe ill try it again in the future & pick up where I left off, but not right now. I understood the background and why it was important for the plot to understand everything, but I personally felt like it wasnt getting there or it was information I've already gotten that ive already read. If I decide to give this another chance and re-read, ill update my review.
