When the boundary between past and present blurs on the cusp of Beltane, ancient secrets stir within the walls of Moonfell.
The three Moonfell witches discover mysterious journals and magical instruments in the long-abandoned India Room, unwittingly activating a supernatural connection to 1792 India—where their ancestor Fitz Westerly's past holds the key to their present danger.
Fitz, a powerful witch and supernatural hunter, made his fortune tracking paranormal creatures across India with his loyal companions. But when summoned to an East India Company port to hunt a deadly creature terrorising trade ships, they uncover a sinister conspiracy.
In present-day London, as unknown forces threaten their Gothic mansion on the edge of Richmond Park, the Moonfell witches turn to the Storm Moon Wolf-Shifters to help them uncover the truth.
Perfect for fans of Deborah Harkness and Nora Roberts, Amber Moon weaves historical mystery with contemporary magic in a captivating tale of family legacy, ancient power, and forbidden secrets that will keep you spellbound until the final page.
Unlock the mystery. Embrace the magic. Step into the world of the Moonfell Witches.
I'm a writer, a pagan, and a witch, and consequently love all things magical. I write fictional books about witchcraft and the paranormal, and they are jam-packed with fabulous characters, colourful settings, plenty of action, and lots of humour.
I was born in England, in the Black Country, but moved to New Zealand in 2006. I lived near Wellington with my partner Jase, and my cats Sacha and Leia. However, in April 2022 we moved again! Yes, I like making my life complicated… I’m now living in the Algarve in Portugal, and loving the fabulous weather and people. When I’m not busy writing I read lots, indulge in gardening and shopping, and I love yoga.
Confession time! I’m a Star Trek geek – old and new – and love urban fantasy and detective shows. Secret passion – Columbo! Favourite Star Trek film is the Wrath of Khan, the original! Other top films – Predator, the original, and Aliens.
In a previous life I was a singer in a band, and used to do some acting with a theatre company. For more on me, check out a couple of my blog posts. I have also written a blog about how I finally became comfortable about calling myself a witch. It's called Leaning into my Witch.
Amber Moon is the kind of book you pick up thinking you’ll just read a chapter or two… and suddenly it’s three hours later, you’ve lost your tea to lukewarm neglect, and you’re still glued to the page. This is book two in the Moonfell Witches series, and it’s even better than the first. The story splits between present-day Moonfell—full of charm, secrets, and the kind of cozy gothic vibes that make you want to move in—and a historical thread set in colonial India. That part follows Fitz Westerly, a witch and supernatural hunter, and it’s got everything: dangerous magic, strange creatures, and the weight of history pressing in on every page. The present-day storyline with Birdie, Morgana, and Odette is just as compelling. Their friendship feels real—equal parts support, banter, and “we’ve got each other’s backs, no matter what.” The wolf-shifters show up too, adding extra spice (and danger) to the mix. One of the things TJ Green nails is atmosphere. You can almost smell the old wood of Moonfell, feel the heat and dust of India, and sense the magic humming under the surface. It’s not just fantasy—it’s a world you sink into. If you like witchy mysteries with a bit of history, strong friendships, and just enough supernatural danger to keep you on your toes, Amber Moon is a perfect next read. And if you haven’t read Triple Moon yet, you’ll want to grab that too—because trust me, you won’t stop at just one visit to Moonfell.
Past and present collide in this stunning new mystery from TJ Green. It’s Beltane and the veil is thinning, but whilst the witches should be preparing for the celebrations, the ‘India Room’ at Moonfell is calling with its many secrets. The descriptions of late 18th century India are intoxicating and Moonfell, already rich in character is showing more of its secrets. I was on tenterhooks as the story slowly unfolded through flashbacks, letters, journals and amazing antique magical inventions. Comic relief was welcome in the form of Horty and her shenanigans and we get to meet new family members and spend some time with a few of the shifters along with a surprise visit from a character from another series. The tension, the heartache, the magic, the laughs, the tears make this TJ’s best book yet. I’m exhausted, exhilarated and bereft all and once.

You can imagine being there as one of the characters. You are in the future and the past at the same time. Once you start reading you will not be able to put this book down.
Oh I love how this book was written on two fronts, the past and the present interweaving into the present lives of the witches of Moonfell. As they are preparing to host more family members to celebrate Belthane, and as the veil in between the worlds becomes thinner, the witches discover the life of their ancestors who lived in India under british rule. They become so engrossed in the lives of Fitz, Ed and Vikram, the team of friends who were also supernatural monster hunters, that they travelled through the moon gates almost in a trance onto the grounds of the residency in India. Till tragedy struck, and they felt it like it was their own, even though so many years hence had passed. This book is very intriguing, dark and full of suspense and danger, and I just loved how Birdie, Morgana, Odette and Horty with the support of their shifter friends really got into this adventure. I am sure they never looked at the India room in the same way again. What a magical experience, kept me turning the pages!
Amber Moon: Secrets, Ink, and Firelight, Moonfell Witches Book 2 – I love the Moonfell witches from the Christmas Novella to this book. I also love their appearance in various books from other TJ’s series. They are so colorful, inspiring and unapologetic for their actions and personalities. This book feels different to all other books of TJ and I absolutely love them all. This is a different level of writing showcasing TJs growing writing style and her versality. This one I inspired by 18th Century India and bouncing between that time and present day. The book is reach with descriptions of India full of colour, life, smells and spices, monkeys and otherworldly creatures, uncovering some dark family history with an amazing twist at the end. The banter between the current Monfell family members is funny and sweet and kept me laughing out loud few times. Once again TJ delivered an amazing book, and I cannot wait for the next instalment.
The latest Moonfell Witches book centres around the India Room and the discoveries that come forth from delving into the items stored there. In a story that intertwines present day and Moonfell family from the past, we also move between continents. The book paints a vivid picture of India in 1792, with evocative descriptions that have you visualising the sights, sounds and smells of the time. Beltane is fast approaching as Birdie, Morgana and Odette draw on the assistance of extended family and the Storm Moon shifters, to solve the mysteries of the past.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this book and devoured it quickly, as I was so drawn in by the writing and the need to know what happened in the past, and how it helped to shape the present day family.
The second book in the series of the Moonfell Witches is definitely a “can’t put down” book! It transports the reader to two different time zones; “Moonfell” in the Present and “Moonfell” in the year 1792 in Rajgarh, India where their descendant Fitzroy Westerly’s adventures begin and ends.
It’s the second of the cross-quarter days of Beltane, when the veil is at its thinnest when anything can happen. Two of the witches, Birdie & Horty are reminiscing about their past, whilst upstairs Morgana, one of the other Moonfell witches is in the India Room, where she intends to move into. Discoveries are about to be made and strange things begin to happen. Old diaries are found and Moonfell itself begins to take on different energies, and the past and present conjoin.
To say I like Amber Moon, is like saying the sun is lukewarm! OMG, it’s bloody brilliant! I feel as though I have been to India along with our Witches, I found myself so invested in what was happening with Fritz, Ed, and Vikram, and was willing them to be careful. I loved the whole vibe of 1792, the magic, the secrecy, the glamour, and the darkness. Then we have new Moonfell family members arrive, Horty, Birdies sister is charismatic and so funny, I really like her character. When Birdie and Horty get together, it’s going to be trouble! Flitting between the past and the present, “Betwixt” is gripping, and exhilarating, Birdie, Morgana and Odette and family, along with the addition of the fabulous Shifters from Storm Moon, Beltane, the Mystical Moongates, makes this is another Winner! Thank you TJGREEN, I absolutely love this book!
Amber Moon by TJ Green is yet another fabulous read by this author!!! If you like to read slowly… don’t read this. If you like to set your book down… don’t read this…( impossible tasks) if you want a book that will surpass ALL your expectations, DO read this! Ive followed TJ Greens books and series for quite some time and each time I think she couldn’t possibly get any better than what i just read Iam proven wrong with the next release. This book was amazing. It was a very well written story with characters and family history that continue to grow and develop from the previous book. It’s full of magic happenings and interconnecting stories. The story moves between the past and the present, but you never feel like you are lost or confused. You can almost feel the heat and ambience of long ago India while being grounded in the modern day. I love how TJ Green brings not only her new characters into the story but continues to blend in old characters from her other series. I absolutely loved this book! Couldn’t put it down and can’t wait for the next book to come out.
I did not care for this book at all. There was no point to the whole thing. There wasn't one thing that I found interesting and I couldn't care less about any of the characters in the India part of the story. I really did not care for the going back and forth from 1oo years ago to current day every chapter. The ending of the book was also completely predictable.
On the whole, a boring piece of work that I only finished because I really like the Moonfell witches and I didn't want to miss anything that might be relevant to the next book in the series. But I seriously couldn't wait to finish this book so I could move on to my next one.
Another wonderful tale of the Moonfell Witches. This one revolves about the India Room in Moonfell House. The witches discover journals, letters and magical slides that allow you to enter India in1792! Questions are raised about the 1792 characters, only one of them is a witch. Dirty deeds abound and answers are found, but not before thrilling episodes of fighting old magic. Once again, a wonderful story, believable characters, and I found myself holding my breath at the end of a lot of chapters! I loved it!
As a member of TJ's ARC team I am lucky to have already read this book and it's awesome as always. I expect her books to be good because she's a great author but I'm astounded by her talent every time.
This book takes us back to India in 1792 as well as the present day and we learn more about Moonfell and it's history and early family members. I could almost feel the heat in India and smell the gardens there as well as at Moonfell.
I won't give too much away just to say it's another fabulous read and I can't wait for the next one!
This book kept me glued to my kindle. I wish I had been able to go slowly But I became so invested in the story. It starts a couple of days before Beltane at Moonfell with preparations for their celebration. They go into a little used room that they call the Indian room and discover that Fitz an ancestor who was an explorer and his 2 friends had quite an adventure in India. We are taken seamlessly from the present time to 18th century Rajgarth, India. The descriptions were so good that it was easy to feel the atmosphere. It was an exciting read that I would recommend.
Every book by T J Green that I read becomes my new favourite! Amber Moon took us to India in a clever sliding doors tale of magic, mayhem and murder which the Moonfell Witches became embroiled in at Beltane as the veil thinned. The way the different series of magic tales overlap is so clever, so seamless, that I actually lose track of which series a book belongs to! It is a marvellous, magical extended family of witches, wolves and many others. Fabulous read - two days as I had to sleep!
Amber Moon The coming together of Witches and shifters, bringing in teenagers for a new experience . The past melding with the present to unravel multiple mysteries including the Moon Gates. TJ describes everything in such detail that you feel like you're really there.
Just when I thought I would cry the story shifted making my heart happy again. The struggles that some of these characters had endured was heart wrenching especially those involving family.
I have really loved learning about the history of Moonfell and some of its former residents. A dual time story line weaving Magick, myth various shifters, art collectors amongst all its inhabitants. How could this not be a great read ?
Add the exotic Indian location and you have a blockbuster of a read. The Moonfell Witches are becoming some of my favourite characters I feel we learning more about them all the time. I’m certain they’ve got a take or two more to tell.
This is yet another outstanding book by T J Green. It begins with the Witches of Moonfell feeling a pull towards the India Room in their home and finding letters and instruments from 1792, when Fritz (an ancestor) and a colleague Ed, and Vikram, were in India and they were asked to investigate an apparent being frightening the locals working at the port. Brilliant story, but don't want to spoil your reading. Enjoy...
Exotic Dangerous Adventure! Learn more about Moonfell, its magical gardens and the wonderful witches that call it home. Two intertwined stories will unfold in the many adventures through the past and present. There is an easy flow between timelines and characters. Vivid descriptions let you experience the locations like you where there. This is a relaxing escape to interesting and exotic locations, that you wont want to put down. An honest review from reading an enjoyable ARC.
Another terrific book in the Moonfell series. I love that Moonfell mansion is a character in its own right. As with the previous books, past and present collide as Moonfell releases more about its previous occupants and the past becomes dangerously close! This time it's India in the late 1700s that draws the witches attention. A bewitching book!
I have read this book and giving my honest review.. Wow another great book by T.J. Green. You travel to India, plus Moonfell. Witches, wolves, magic. You cannot put this book down as so exciting, you want to know what is happening every page. I hope you enjoy as much as I did. It is a great read.
Scenes of the past How amazing would it have been to be in possession of a Lumina Lantern in 1792?!? Shoot, to even have one today, in 2025, would actually be amazing! The different perspectives of the characters in the story pulled me in and held me there. One of the best described places...I felt like I was there, too. Entrancing!
Another fab book from TJ. The story takes us back into the pasts ancestors and intertwines all and introduces us to more family members. The story is set in India and brings Moonfell with all its secrets to help solve. I thoroughly enjoyed it and the Moonfell witches just feel so real. Just sad it comes to an end.
Every book written by tj green is my new favourite book, until the next one. Beautifully written and draws you in further every turn of the page, learning more about the history of the moonfell witches and the evolving relationship with storm moon and other characters. Can wait for the next book. Hope you enjoyed it as much as i did
Wonderfully written and vividly descriptive with a glimpse into the Moonfell mansion and its grounds and magical gates. The discovery of letters and various instruments used by a witch ancestor leads to an adventure in 17th-century India. This book will have you on the edge of your seat till the end.
This book, felt different from previous books as the Moonfell witches discover items that unearth a tale from long ago. The tale skips between past and present as the secrets unfold. You feel as you are immersed, discovering the past alongside the witches and friends. Another fantastic book, I loved it.
If you’re looking for intrigue, stunning images, wonderfully exciting storyline, grab this book and hold on for a wild ride. Exotic locales and customs, brave and independent women, paranormal creatures and romance, all capturing your mind and attention don’t the last pages, leaving you longing for more! Don’t hesitate, grab your copy today and get lost in the fun!!!
Another hit by TJ Green! I loved the way that the story developed between the past and the present without losing any of the flow. Moonfell has always seemed steeped in history, and of course magic! So it was good to be given a glimpse of its past occupants! Really looking forward to the next installation!
Another great read from TJ, initially I wasn't sure where the story was going, but soon I was gripped in an Indian adventure with the ancestors of the Moonfell witches and their descendents trying to figure out the mystery of what had happened. With further continuation if storylines and character development with the Moonfell witches.
Another fantastic book by TJ! The Moonfell Witches are wonderful characters, and interaction with them is always interesting. As you read, you become invested in the story, so you TOO want to know the outcome. This book does not disappoint!
