NO SECOND CHANCE FOR A COWBOY
I loved this sweet and angst-ridden romance with just the right amount of suspense. Brandon is a man of faith who values family, friends and helping others. His life on the family ranch grounds him, but working with disadvantaged youths helps fulfill him. His art gives him a way to express his feelings, and his paintings of Madeline reveal the depth of his love. He was heartbroken by her rejection of him, but the moment she is in trouble he steps up to be by her side. When her head injury leaves her with amnesia and she believes he is her boyfriend, he can’t leave her alone and frightened. With an assailant still at large, Brandon wants nothing more than to keep her safe though, he knows he must safeguard his heart from more rejection when she gets her memory back. Yet, he discovers that Madeline with amnesia is a much different person. She is softer, more vulnerable, and much more approachable. She is even open to talking about God and faith, something she would never consider before. Brandon realizes that in the past, Madeline used her beauty, wealth and even her job to hide behind, a tough shell as it were, in order to protect her tender heart and soul from more pain. Will she revert back to the colder, more distant and artificial self when she regains her memory? Brandon and Madeline will need to put their faith in God and his guidance, as well as each other in order to build a future together.
SEASIDE COWBOY’S FORGET-ME-NOT
Harris and Pat’s story is sweet, clean and compelling. These two characters are and engaging. Harris has deep feelings for Pat and wants nothing more than to keep her safe, especially after she is injured and left with amnesia. Even knowing that she will not be staying once she recovers does not lessen his resolve or his love for her. Someone seems determined to harm her because of something she knows or can’t remember. As their story progresses, secrets are revealed, the situation gets even more dangerous and twisty, and Pat realizes her own feelings for Harris. Those feelings are rather foreign to her. So much so, her fears and doubts are becoming overwhelming. Fortunately, his close-knit family offers support, advice and guidance. Could they really have a chance at building a future together? The danger, intrigue and suspense in their story makes this book a captivating read.
BADGE OF HONOR
I enjoyed reading this twisty and suspenseful romance. Both Chris and Melissa are intriguing characters that drew my empathy. Each has a need to be in control, to not show weakness by asking for help and have not been able to move on romantically since their breakup. They also have a need to help others, to make a difference and work long hours to make it happen, to the point of having little time for a personal life. Their breakup devastated both of them, leaving them unwilling to open their hearts again or to trust. Seeing her back in their home town is a shock, but seeing her attacked and nearly kidnapped before his eyes is even more disturbing. He immediately steps up to protect and take of her, telling himself he would do so for anyone. Both pray to God for guidance and hope that this time around, they can move forward together. The twists and turns in this book made it a compelling read.
I am happy to recommend this wonderfully inspiring set of books.

This collection is three stories from three different series all dealing with amnesia and threatening situations. It a good way to get a taste of this authors writing style.
No Second Chance for a Cowboy (Escape to Cowboy Crossing Book 3)
There are mysteries to be solved in this story as well as discovering who is out to hurt or kill Madeline. She will need someone to watch over her and protect her after she was attacked and now has amnesia. It seems that the good looking cowboy Brandon has been chosen.
Brandon had his heart crushed by the ice queen Madeline but he cannot seem to forget her. Going to the park to get away from his feelings has him saving Madeline from a violent attack. The hit to her head has left her with amnesia and a sarcastic comment to her about being her boyfriend leaves her clinging to him as a comforter. So now Brandon steps in to spend lots of time with Madeline and he worries she will reject him again when her memory returns.
When threats continue and a potential criminal from her past may be on his way to Cowboy Crossing Brandon stays close to protect her.
Seaside Cowboy's Forget-Me-Not (Seaside Cowboys Book 8)
Great Series Focuses on the Lawrence Brothers and how each have grown from their experiences with an abusive father.
Harris has become enamored with his new sister-in-law's friend Pat. In a previous book Pat was introduced when her friend Diane came looking for her. She had gone missing and was eventually found badly beaten with missing memories. Pat is still recuperating with a broken arm. Pat seems flighty never staying in one place for long and traveling around the world from one adventure to another. She also has never committed to a man. This story will give insights into her past that will explain many of Pat's actions.
Harris would love to have a relationship with Pat and he realizes his heart might get broken. He steps up to help her when she realizes she has a stalker. Will Pat reveal deep secrets from her past? Will she discover who is threatening her? Will she decide she can stop running away from commitment?
Badge of Honor (Honor and Danger Team Book 2)
Chris Hill owns the local gym and he's so dedicated to his job that people call him coach. He spends most of his time at the gym since he doesn't have any romantic relationship. He cannot forget the woman he loved that left him for a different life years before. As he leaves the gym late one night, he is amazed to see the woman he cannot forget Melissa Linquist. As he wonders what she is doing back in town, he sees two men try to attack and kidnap her. He saves her from the. attackers but she took a heavy blow to her head that leaves her with amnesia. With no memories of her past, Chris will step in to protect her even as the threats continue. They will need the assistance of the Honor's Team to discover the secrets from her past.

In the first book, No Second Chance For A Cowboy, we meet Madeline and Brandon. Madeline broke Brandon's heart. When she gets amnesia after being hit over the head, Brandon says sarcastically that he's her boyfriend. Madeline thinks it meant it. The more time they spend together, the more the sparks start flying again. But what will Madeline do when she regains her memory? Brandon's not sure he can take another heartbreak, though he wants her to be happy more than anything. He also wants her to have a relationship with God, knowing that until that happens, they can't be together. Will Madeline be able to let Brandon in, or will she keep pushing him away? Will she realize how much she needs God, and let Him in, too?
In Seaside Cowboy's Forget Me Not, we meet Harris and Pat. Harris fell for Pat before she was hurt and lost her memory. Now, he's falling for her even more, knowing that she's going to leave as soon as she's well enough. When someone keeps trying to harm Pat, Harris decides he's the one that's going to protect her. When Pat finally figures out who might be after her, she decides to hide that from Harris, but relies on two of his brothers to help her. She could be killed, but she'd rather that than for something to happen to Harris. Pat has learned she can trust Harris, and when she finally learns that she can also trust God, she finds that she can put down roots, if it's just not too late for that now. Love how everything comes together!!

Traces of the Past is a fantastic collection! In No Second Chance for a Cowboy, a bad break-up, amnesia, mystery, suspense, and a second chance at love--author Alexa Verde mixes all of it together to give her readers a well-written romantic suspense book. Madeline always looks perfect, but that perfection comes at a high price and is used to cover up deep hurt. Getting amnesia from her head injury was the best way to let her true self shine and leads to a lot of interesting reactions from those who knew her best as an Ice Princess. Brandon was gutted when she broke up with him the first time. Will he set himself up for it to happen again? I love the family that Madeline and her foster sisters made for themselves and the closeness of Brandon's family.
Wow! The plot in Seaside Cowboy's Forget-Me-Not had twists within twists. Be prepared for a roller coaster of a ride as they are unwound. Harris and his brothers are great examples of what sibling relationships should be. Pat is a likeable, but complex character. There were several quotes in the book that stood out to me. "But sometimes, like unforgiveness, doubt can also become a poison we keep drinking." And also this quote, "But this resentment inside screamed it was all a lie and he'd been drinking the poison, letting it corrode him. He was like a tractor rusted from the constant rain of suppressed anger, dented from the hail of denial, and ready to fall apart." Author Alexa Verde writes an absorbing story with truth for real life sprinkled throughout.
In Badge of Honor, lawyer Melissa Linquist is attacked and left with amnesia. Chris Hill, known as Coach, is the man that she loved and left behind years ago. He sees the attack happen that causes the head injury that led to her amnesia. He volunteers to drive her to her home four hours away, but someone seems to want her dead. The suspense kept me eagerly reading until I reached the end. The answer to the mystery blew me away. This second-chance romance delivers all the swoon without any steam. As in all of this author's books, faith is woven in without feeling "preachy."
I highly recommend Traces of the Past collection to readers of clean and Christian romantic suspense and to readers of clean and Christian romance. I would recommend this to friends and family without hesitation.

3.5+ STARS ROUNDED UP
1. NO SECOND CHANCE FOR A COWBOY - 3 STARS
This is book 3 and I wasn't lost but the characters didn't make a connection to each other to me. I'm sure that is because I didn't start at the beginning.
This is a Christian novel with the mention of God in their lives and is clean. Granted characters in their lives cheated long ago, but not in this one.
I got so tired of hearing how beautiful the h was. I couldn't understand what the H saw in her other than her beauty. They were so opposite and in this story their beginning wasn't made known.
The h takes changes when she has had two threats against her, not smart. She has amnesia, and to me wasn't clear why she originally broke up with the H prior to amnesia.
No cheating, no cliffhanger and nice set up for next story, HEA and little on romance for me. I can't improve on the blurb, just giving you extra tidbits to decide whether to purchase.
2. SEASIDE COWBOY FORGET-ME-NOT - 3 STARS
Three stories and are not back-to-back in the bundle.
Different stories from other series. I can understand giving the reader the first of each series, but not all over the place.
I would say this isn't a standalone. Of course, it is book 8 and I felt the author didn't give us enough backstory to enjoy it fully.
Christian based and clean. I didn't feel a connection to this couple or any of the characters. Some suspense and you're not sure who the villain is.
No cheating by our MC, but years ago cheating, HEA, little on romance.
3. BADGE OF HONOR - 5 STARS
This was my favorite of this bundle.
A huge twist at the end I certainly didn't see coming. I felt a connection to this couple, and it is a clean romance with only kisses. It is also a standalone, since I wasn't lost and didn't read book 1. I have purchased the next in the Honor and Danger Team series, because I liked the secondary characters.
No cheating, no cliffhanger, some violence, suspenseful, HEA, and enjoyed both MC. I can't improve on the blurb, just giving you extra tidbits to decide whether to purchase. Nice set up for the next story. (ljb)

An excellent set of mystery romances!
No Second Chance for a Cowboy
Madeline never gave Brandon a reason for breaking up with him, and his heart still aches. Amnesia from a head injury gives him a second chance to make her fall in love with him. How can he betray his faith and let her continue believing they are still together, but how can he face losing her again?
Seaside Cowboys Forget-Me-Not
Pat Gray has mostly recovered from her life-threatening injuries except for partial amnesia. She is used to keeping secrets, but someone seems intent on making sure she takes them to her grave. Harris Lawrence wants to keep Pat. If she leaves Port Sunshine, he cannot protect her, and his heart will leave with her.

Three great stories full of suspense and danger. Of course the women having amnesia make it more difficult to protect them and discover who is behind the threats and why. These stories are from three different series and will give you a wonderful opportunity to explore Alexa Verde’s work. Of course then you will have to read all the books in the series.

Traces of the Past is a boxset collection of previously published novels by Alexa Verde. Each book is sweet and clean, and strongly Christian-based. There's no foul language and only kisses. The books are from her various series, and each of the three in this collection feature a heroine with amnesia and the hero who protects them. These were fun stories with drama, suspense, and romance leading to the HEA. I highly recommend the Traces of the Past boxset.

The stories get pretty intense in parts, but is balanced by calmer moments, and even a comedic moment or two.
The characters are really likable and relatable, and their situations seem realistic. Some stories are more boldly Christian than others, but there is no proselytizing.

This is a great set of books that features characters meeting people from their past after developing amnesia. Every story is different but each contains a story-line that will capture your imagination. There's danger and intrigue as well. And of course, each has a HEA.

A wonderful collection of books. Each features a character with amnesia. I enjoyed each book and seeing things work out for the characters. I always enjoy books with HEA's and books with faith. These books are filled with mystery and danger. This authors books are always a great read

This is a fabulous boxset of romantic suspense stories that made me flip the pages, also difficult to put down. The characters are great, the ladies have gone through loads of trauma, and the men knows how to protect and treat ladies. Each book is clean with a HEA.
