"A Duke to Restore her Memory" is a historical romance novel of approximately 60,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after.
Lucy Langton was born in Boston but currently lives in Maine with her husband and their beautiful twin daughters.
She has a PhD in English literature from Columbia University. Her field of expertise was 19th-century British novel. After college, she went backpacking in Europe where she met her husband. It was love at first sight!
Lucy knew she wanted to be a writer ever since she was a little girl, writing stories from different eras to read to her little brother. Her first story felt like a dream come true.
When she’s not writing, she enjoys painting, eating pizza and baking… not necessarily in that order! She also identifies herself as the biggest Jane Austen fan!
"A Duke to Restore Her Memory" by Lucy Langton is a delightful historical romance that captivates from the very first page. The story follows Christine, who, upon learning that her father plans to marry her off to the villainous Lord Powell, chooses to escape her fate. Her flight leads her to a perilous fall into an abandoned mine, where she is fortuitously rescued by the charming Duke of Newquay, Sebastian.
What ensues is a tender romance as Christine grapples with her lost memories and the unexpected connection she forms with Sebastian. Their love blossoms against a backdrop of uncertainty, especially with the Duke's sister harboring doubts about Christine's true identity, threatening to tear the couple apart.
Langton beautifully weaves a narrative that showcases not only the central romance but also the sweetness of secondary characters, each finding their own paths to happiness. This heartwarming tale is rich with emotion and charm, making it a must-read for fans of historical fiction and romance alike.
A very clean and romantic story. However the two main characters, Lady Christina Whitford and Sebastian Cavendish, the Duke of Newquay, seemed too perfect for me. Unfortunately the same could not be said for his sister, Lydia. When Christina is told by her father that he has arranged a marriage due to the debt he owes, she rebels and escapes from her home early one morning on horseback. Christina falls off a cliff into an abandoned mine shaft where she is discovered unconscious my the duke. Now where can the plot of this story go? You will need to read this story to find out the secrets and dangers that are in this story and don't forget to watch out for Lydia.
Who is this beautiful woman, with no memory. Christina fell in one of Sabastian's abandoned mine shafts. When she is rescued with a nasty cut and no memory he feels responsible for her. Feelings between them start to develop, but his sister will sabotage, lie and threaten to keep them apart. With a sister like that, who needs enemies. Thank you ❤️
This was a very sweet loving story, that takes your breath away! I could feel the wind blowing as I stood on those beautiful cliffs overlooking the sea hearing the waves crash below !!!! Great story!! Great descriptions of the area !
I loved this book with all the angst, adventure, mishaps and finally a lasting love. I also love that no one hopped into bed except to sleep. So much better read this way!
Sebastian and Christiana had a real loving relationship, although he behaved with some doubts about her at times, the dipstick! She was always sure of him really.Just brilliant. Well done!!
I recommend this book to lovers of Regency romances. The characters are just wonderful. Lydia was an awesome bad girl. Sebastian was the perfect hero even if he slipped up a bit. Loved the book.
I'm not really fond of amnesia stories, but this is a good one if you like them. Georgina has a beautiful horse. There's a villain and a semi-villain. A beautiful setting,
It's a beautiful love story with all sorts of things thrown in, but in the end, it all ends well?0r does it. You can never know until you get to the final chapter.
