She’s the pen behind the hits. He’s the voice chasing a legacy. They were never meant to mix—until the industry forced them into the same room. What starts as a battle of egos turns into something electric. The chemistry? Undeniable. The tension? Unbearable.
And the line between collaboration and complication gets blurred with every beat. But when the lights fade and the music stops, they’re left with the parts no one talks about—grief, guilt, and guarded hearts. In a world where pride talks louder than love… can two broken hearts still find harmony?
Great ending for a wonderful series. I loved both of of these stories!!!! Hopefully I can come across a few more great reads by this author. Y'all just read the damn book.
The story did not have a lot of unnecessary and uncalled for foolishness. The relationship drama was expected given the vibe within the couple's story. The romantic interludes were nicely done. The encounters depicted the close chemistry between the main characters. I highly recommend this story, if you like an amusing music related theme, and a sweet romance.
I loved it!!! I'm so glad Genesis Carter is back at it because I have missed her writing. This book had my emotions on swole. My heart broke with everyone's when that happened to King and like most people, hurt people hurt people. Royal was hurt and grieving and spiraling out of control. I'm glad when he buckled down and got right. Avery's mama got on my nerve and deserve for Avery to speak how she felt. Glad the could get it together though. This is a great read and highly recommend.💚💚
Talk about beauty from ashes! My emotions were on a roller coaster. Just when everything was leveling out, we lost a valuable member of the family and it seemed like his shadow was a character. I like the way that was handled. My only complaint is, I would have liked to see how Averi’s mom came around to accepting Royal.
Soft DNF for now I couldn’t even get to the love story because a white man was written as “not being a culture vulture” because he has Black kids and Black wife and also has the most egregious blaccent. I just can’t that seriously. Also he described word for word the exact same way by both the FMC and the MMC
First, I love when the FMC and MMC can’t stand each other in the beginning lol. Like, beef it out first, it don’t always gotta be instant love. But five seconds later, yeah, let them eyes linger a little longer lol. I loved Royal and Averi really bad!!
Good read! Grief excuses a lot I guess…sheesh. Royal violated so bad before that I loved how they met and fell in love while working together. Averi loved him in spite the immaturity and pettiness. The tea paged was a nice addition to the story
Another great read by this author. I have loved all her books that I have read so far. It was great to get updates on Serenity and Creed. Looking forward to reading about Egypt next.
Loved this so much! I just knew a baby was on the way. Would love a short or something about their life in the future but I need Egypt and Nas story next they got something going on.
This was such a beautiful story of love overpowering grief in a way that helped both characters grow. The vulnerability that came from them both was beautiful to read.
Cute story, with the social media posts does make you think of how the real celebrity business is exposed. Averi and Royal had a rough and funny start but in the end they find their way to love. Despite being scared and the other obstacles they faced with grief and family
Music Romance, enemies to lovers, he falls first…cute interconnected follow up of Averi story; wish we could’ve gotten more details on what transpired after the dinner fiscal with her mom. Ending seemed rushed
