Some ghosts don’t just haunt a place… they guard its secrets.
When Guy Flowers travels to the French countryside to uncover his family's hidden past, he expects dusty archives and forgotten stories — not a derelict chateau steeped in death and legend. But Chateau Morbeaux isn’t just abandoned — it’s watching.
Rose Radcliffe is no stranger to ghosts. Working solo for the first time, she’s come to the chateau chasing whispers of the supernatural, hoping to find a link to Sir Robert Crawford. Instead, she uncovers a far more unsettling the legend of Gray Nellie, a spirit said to kill anyone who meets her gaze.
Reluctantly teaming up, Rose and Guy are drawn into a tangled web of hauntings, half-truths, and buried trauma. As the chateau's secrets begin to unravel, so do their own — and time is running out. Because at Chateau Morbeaux, not everyone who enters gets to leave.
The Haunting of Chateau Morbeaux is the chilling tenth instalment in The Ghosts of Rose Radcliffe series. Each book tells a standalone tale, but for the full experience, readers are encouraged to start from the beginning.

I really enjoyed The Haunting of Château Morbeaux. The story had that perfect gothic atmosphere—an old French estate filled with secrets, eerie whispers, and a chilling sense of history that came alive through the pages. I liked how the tension built slowly, keeping me guessing about what was real and what was part of the haunting. The characters were well-written, and the setting felt almost like a character itself. It’s the kind of ghost story that sticks with you after you finish. Creepy, mysterious, and beautifully told—I’d definitely recommend it to other horror fans.
Another can't put down book from Amy Cross. Five Stars if it wasn't for all the typos and misgenderism. How many times can you get he and she the wrong way round in 180 odd pages. What happened to proofreading?
This is the first time Rose has been on her own. She did a bang up job, but had a tragic loss at the end of this story. The epilogue cliffhanger gets us ready for the next one.
