I love reading letters and this set of compelling letters did not disappoint. Jenny expressed her passions, her disappointments, her anger and her everyday struggles succinctly, which provided a close look at the life of women in the late nineteenth/early twentieth centuries and her volatile relationship with her son.

Provides a very helpful insight on the factors that shaped one's personalities and habits, and how to "analyse" them, using what methods.
