Book one in the brand new Stone Trio Series by Amazon Top 20 Bestselling Author A. M. Wilson

My ex cheated. I kept the honeymoon—and somehow ended up sharing it with the one man I swore I’d never see again.

After catching my fiancé and his assistant on my couch, I escape to what should’ve been our tropical getaway—solo. The plan? Drown my heartbreak in turquoise waves and bottomless mojitos.

Then Spencer Stone walks onto the plane.

He was my first crush. My brother’s best friend. The man who disappeared the morning after we crossed a line we swore we wouldn’t.

Now he’s here, with shadows in his eyes and scars on his skin, taking the seat next to mine and calling me “wife”.

Turns out, he bought my ex’s half of the trip. It doesn’t take long to see he’s not here for a relaxing vacation. He’s here for me.

I should be mad. I swear I am. But one night with Spencer, and suddenly heartbreak doesn’t seem so hard to get over.

Leaving this unrated probably, might be a 2.5 though if I had to pick.

I love the Powell family and was looking forward to Cortney (h) finding her HEA after seeing her with the awful guy she dated in her brothers’ books for the series that preceded this one. Revival does stand alone however, but there are lots of cameos because all of Cortney’s family found love in the other series. This series follows a trio of brothers in their small town that grew up with the Powells, including Spencer (H), the middle Stone brother who was Cortney’s best friend and eventually more before he vanished after high school. The prologue of this book shows Cortney visiting Spencer in the hospital after a work accident. Then Cortney’s off on a honeymoon solo after finding her awful ex cheating and who should show up on the plane to tag along, yep, her long lost high school love. Vacation fling to the return of deeper feelings to having to figure it all out back in the real world.

Written in first person, dual POV. No ow drama, some om drama because h’s ex does not want to just take himself out with the trash (she has zero interest in him). The h had definitely been with others since being with the H in high school, she has a teenager and more recently a fiancé. It’s implied that the H had been with others as well but not directly stated so no history. The H does say that the last person he kissed was her before he left town twenty years prior so whatever other experience he had, it wasn’t locking lips with anyone else. That part was sweet and I can give him some grace on being with others since he never planned to return to their town apparently, I just hate it still.

Some tropes/themes:
☆ Second chance after 20 year separation
☆ Single mom, vet FMC
☆ Blue collar MMC
☆ Scarring with self consciousness
☆ Hints that their separation was more than just a dumb teen running away
☆ Overprotective brothers and involved family all around
☆ Small town
☆ Some sneaking around
☆ Spicy scenes start early on
☆ He never loved anyone else
☆ He’s willing to face fears and discomfort for her
☆ A few cute animals pop in
☆ He cares for her during a migraine

Second chance stories are often a hard sell for me because they typically lean too heavily on past connections, rather than doing the heavy lifting of establishing a better relationship in the present. Unfortunately, I felt like this read needed to strike a better balance between the past and the present, but also between emotional intimacy and the physical variety. Cortney and Spencer are sweet and smoking hot together, from their time spent at the resort to once they get back home and realize they want more from each other. In some scenes, I really wanted more emotional development instead of more chemistry and pheromones though. There are adorable instances focused on their personal connection, don’t get me wrong. I still felt the lustier side of things overshadowed some of that reconnection at times.

The times when Cortney could be vulnerable or when Spencer let some of his stoicism drop were definitely the best. My heart hurt a lot for Spencer, particularly when his internal thoughts turned towards his scarring and how he was perceived while out in public. I think more could have been fleshed out there with him going to therapy or perhaps getting to a more healed place during the course of the book. He had also just lost his best friend and Cortney had just ended her engagement. They were certainly still processing throughout the book and feeling hurt, but sometimes things felt not touched on enough.

I also wish there had been more page time of Spencer reconnecting with his family and of Cortney alone with her son Oliver. Spencer’s family was just as in the dark regarding why he left as Cortney and her family were. He missed out on so much and there are overtures starting in this book, but I would have loved to have seen them play out more. For Oliver, yes he’s an older teen but I love single mom stories and Ollie’s scenes were great so more of them would have been even better. Cortney’s brothers, Spencer’s brothers, and both their moms were great when on page. Even Lee’s bossy and overprotectiveness was coming from a good place considering the past and how recent Cortney’s breakup was. Her ex and another side character also deserved more significant retribution on page. They were vile.

Overall, there’s great satisfaction in bringing these two back together when they so clearly belonged with each other. Spencer also has to come clean as to why he left in the first place. The background of that and the events that lead up to the reveal were kind of OTT in my opinion and it all happens in the third act so it does feel kind of rushed. But no third act breakup thankfully since these two had already been kept apart long enough. By the end of the main story, they’re a couple and talking about living together. The epilogue is a year later with a heartwarming celebration before Ollie goes to college and something extra for Cortney. I did like parts of this quite a lot, I’m sad that other parts missed the mark for me. But I’m looking forward to Spencer’s brothers’ stories and seeing what shakes out there.

Enjoyed this one so much! It’s the first book that I have read by this author, and I really enjoyed her writing style and story development. These two characters together were awesome. Spence was head over heels through the whole book and you could just see the love in everything he did. While he had other issues that were eventually resolved in the end, you knew deep down hHe has a good kind soul.

This book also includes a lot of family interaction as the families for him and her are intertwined in the story. This book is a part of a series, but can be a standalone read as well. There were some areas that I really wish were fleshed out more, but I am happy the author chose to focus most of the story specifically on the main characters.

I’m definitely reading more from this author as the story was more than I expected, I’m so happy it was.

The Powell Sanctuary series is without a doubt one of my all-time favorites! Finally getting to experience Cortney Powell’s story (which thankfully didn’t end with Sebastian! That guy is a tool. Let’s all admit it.) is the perfect start to this new spin-off series. If you haven’t read the Powell Sanctuary series yet (You need to change this ASAP!), here’s a quick catchup.

The Powells are a group of now-adults who didn’t have the best childhoods but were adopted by Nancy Powell as teens and given a second chance in life. This found family is truly one of a kind. The 5 brothers love their women fiercely – SWOON! They’d burn the world down for those they love, which includes the animals they rescue – because yes, of course these sexy, swoony men run a dog rescue!

As the only girl in the family, Cortney had been dating a guy named Sebastian, who throughout the Powell Sanctuary series we got to experience exactly why her brothers all dislike him. Cortney though is ready for her happily ever after, and so when Sebastian proposes she says yes.

Luckily, before she walked down the aisle she saw Sebastian’s true colors – which happened to be face down, ass up inside another woman. In desperate need of a getaway, Cortney decides to go on her prepaid honeymoon alone (or so she thinks). The last man she expects to board that plane is the guy who took her virginity and broke her heart at 18. It’s been over twenty years, but there’s still so many questions left unanswered and no closure between Cortney and Spencer. Can they survive a week together on the beach?

This sweet and spicy second chance romance was everything my Powell-loving heart needed! From the moment this series was announced, I could not wait! We’ve met Silas and Sutton Stone before in previous books, but this is the first introduction of the infamous missing brother, Spencer. It was clear from the beginning that the sparks between Cortney and Spencer never fizzled in the 20 years they were apart. It truly was a “it’s always been you” situation and witnessing their rekindling was beautiful and heartwarming. Plus, that scene in the auto body garage! 🥵🥵🥵 HAVE MERCY!

• Brother’s best friend
• Second chance romance
• High school sweethearts
• He calls her kitten
• It’s always been you
• Jilted bride
• Secret relationship
• Only one bed
• Single mom

Whether you’ve read the Powells before, or this is your first introduction to them, the Stone brothers and/or AM Wilson, this can be read as a standalone/starting point since it’s the first in its new series, however, I really would recommend going back and reading the others when you can because trust me it’s worth it! I can't wait for the next book in the Stone Trio series!

As soon as this ARC became available, I devoured the whole thing in one sitting. Cortney’s love life has been teased throughout the Powell series. The drama with her ex Sebastian was crazy. I kept thinking, this guy keeps getting worse and no one has made him disappear yet. How did she put up with him for so long? Thank god she didn’t go through with marrying that disgusting pig.

She got her 2nd chance with her first love after 20 years of being apart. The Honeymoon of reunion’s! Two weeks of rekindling bliss and then forever…. Once they’re both back home, Spencers story starts to reveal itself and it’s a sad one. I felt so bad for him. He just wanted to live his life with his family and the woman he was in love with. I feel like if he would have spoken up about what was going on, things might have gone down differently. He was just a scared kid then. Now he’s a man, and he’s gonna fight for what he wants. You can’t change the past, but you can move forward. He has a solid support system, and the truth is out. Now he can finally start living his life the way he was meant to. This was a bittersweet ending. I can’t wait for the other Stone brother’s love stories.

Revival was my first book of A.M. Wilson, and it was not disappointing at all. Since this was my first book of the author, and there were many other characters from the previous series mentioned, I intrigued to read them. Hence, Revival is not gonna be my last read for A.M. Wilson.
Revival is about Cortney, the last from Powell siblings, and Spencer, the first from Stone siblings. This book was Cortney and Spencer's second chance. Second chance is not my favorite trope, but the author delivered Cortney and Spencer's second chance really well. I am satisfied with this kind of second chance. However, I wish there were more flashback stories in Cortney and Spencer's teenager time when all their story began.
I loved the hint of found family between Cortney and her family. I will definitely read The Powell Sanctuary series.
There was a huge gap of separation between Cortney and Spencer, but because their chemistry was loud and clear, they didn't find it hard to reconnect.
There were so many spicy scenes between them, but I did not complain about it because the spicy was spicying.
Overall, for me, Revival gave me a good reading experience. Thank you, Ms. Wilson, for the ARC.

Arc read
I loved the connection between Courtney and Spencer. I may be biased because my husband and I are a second chance romance. But I also love the banter between the two.
As far as Courtney goes I geel a lot of us ladies can relate to her. The fact that we want to take care of everyone else. Women often set all emotions aside to make it happen. I love that she didn't have an option to not take care of herself. Because Spencer said here I am. I'm on this trip whether you like it or not.
Spencer... I need my husband to take notes. He made himself the villain to protect his entire family. Now as an adult he is trying to mend fences and put everything back together. he is even willing to not expose the actual villain as long as he gets his girl. In the end it all works out. However your heart breaks for him until then.
the smut is top notch and although it is spicier than some of her other stories. It really sets the tone of the relationship. The desperation the two have to just be in each other's lives. I love this world and I am super excited for this trio of books. Well worth the read.

The way I would have gotten there, booked another trip and left him there at my original vacation, dude was so annoying. How are you going to crash her vacation and then say to her "no wonder your ex didn't want to come on this trip with you? Silence would have been all he received from me. You didn't want to see her when she showed up at the hospital and accused her of wanting to cheat on her fiancé at the time. 20 years, you wait, and then you make this big gesture, only to be confusing and vague and end up leaving her the moment the trip ends? TIME.....ever heard of it?!?!?!?! I can't believe he let some stupid cop hold literally NOTHING over his head for 20 years while everyone lived their lives.

Favs:

"Wouldn't you like to know?" I couldn't stop thinking of the vine, "Wouldn't you like to know weather boy?"

"You will never be less attractive than somebody who's willingly fucking someone else's partner. That shit is ugly." Tis

"I'd find it fucking hot if this wasn't such a monumental moment." We are just women.

"I can't- I don't think I can stand it." This hurt, because how could he leave you again and not say anything.

"That's like going through a woman's underwear drawer." You never touch a woman's kindle.

"You don't ever put a woman in a position where she has to defend herself from strange men."

Lost opportunities / New beginnings
I felt so many emotions reading this story, from the sadness of what has happened in Spencer’s life to Cortney’s bad luck with men and the heartbreaks she’s endured.
I laughed a few times, cried at others and happily read along as these two wounded people found each other again.
This was a steamy at times story of secrets, revenge, heartbreak, forgiveness, a love that would never die and family that are always there for you even when they think you’ve made mistakes.
Add in a gorgeous broken man who after a terrible accident found his way back home to the girl that he left behind, never forgetting.
Loved this story and especially the ending where all was revealed.
I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.

20 years ago Spencer left not only taking Courtney’s virginity but her heart. He left without a word and never came back, until now . After suffering severe burns from an accident at work he's back home recovering.
He's never forgotten Courtney or the love he had for her and still does. When she finds him on the same plane with her and realizes he is going on her” honeymoon” with her she is not happy.
At first she wants nothing to do with him. But if the time spent together the love she buried all those years ago starts to surface. And what she thought was a vacation fling she's now thinking could it be more. During this time they rekindled their love in paradise. Getting a second chance at that love.
Spencer gave up so much all those years ago and now he has a second chance of starting over with the love of his life. Courtney thought and planned it forever with Sebastian, but fate had other plans. Her first love is turning out to be her last and forever love.

Best Broken Wedding, Taking the Honeymoon Story Ever!!

Twenty years between Spencer being her best friend, ghosting her, and suddenly showing up for Cortney’s “honeymoon”. Both have items in their past, and we slowly get their backstory. But their current story immediately falls back into “best friends”. Caring, putting the other first, and paying attention to details.

Agreement to take this “moment” for them both, then even extending an extra week. What happens when they return to “real life”. You will laugh, sigh, swoon, and fan yourself with these two. A phenomenal story. I loved it!

Cortney and Spencer are pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥🥵!

The chemistry between these two sizzles—whether they’re lost in memories of the past or rebuilding something real in the present. A.M. Wilson pours so much heart into their story that the love practically melts off the pages.

“Yes, I can. If you’re even a fraction of the girl I remember, then he’s the second biggest idiot on the planet.”
“Second biggest? Who has the honor of being the first?”
“Me,” I admit softly.

Spencer Stone is the panty-melting, grumpy dream guy every romance reader secretly hopes to claim as their next book boyfriend. His relentless fight for Cortney—and his undeniable love—keeps you hooked from start to finish. And Cortney? She absolutely earned that white dress.

“Is it possible to fall back in love with someone when you never fell out of love?”

I was hooked from the beginning. This is a story about healing and rediscovering an old flame. It's also about a second chance at love.

Cortney and Spencer are high school sweethearts who had a history. Spencer had disappeared after a night with Cortney. Her family helped Cortney recover and get stronger. She went on with her life and was happy until her fiancée cheated on her. She decided to take advantage of her honeymoon. Out of the blue, Spencer joins her, and the story of their reunion begins.

Spencer is the ideal man that all women look for. He's honest, caring, and thoughtful. He's super protective yet isn't overbearing. This is a feel-good book with a heartwarming story.

Honestly AM Wilson never ceases to amaze me. I have been a RELEASE DAY girly following her for well over three years now and she just keeps getting better. I'm telling you right now, Spencer Stone is that mf man. I DM'd poor Allison (amwilson) at TWO THIRTY AM telling her I was twerking on the moon over a scene.

Just read it, you won't regret it.

Just beautiful! I loved it.
Two people in their teens were in love. He left town and came back 20 years later.
What happened then?
how they got in a honeymoon together now?
Her ex was a douche! A real peace of work, a really mean person. I hate him in every other book he appeared, now we know the extent of his shitty actions.
Spencer, what can I say? You are a beautiful human.
He is so kind to her, attentive and caring. He only has kissed her in twenty years, tell me about sweet and special love.
At the end we know everything, and let me tell you, I cried when we heard the story.
I totally loved this book.

What a beautiful transition into a new series. This follows the Powell boys one and only sister Cortney.
Cortney was left with a broken heart at the age of 18, divorced a few years later and just found out her current fiancé is cheating on her. She decides to go on their honeymoon alone and enjoy herself and while there she runs into the man who first broke her heart, Spencer.
Spencer had a secret and now he’s finally ready to come and claim his girl back.
Their story was so good, easy to come back to and just pure Wilson goodness.
Vibes : vacation, dancing, swimming; Powell brothers, baseball, teenage son, tattoos, openness, honesty, good communication

Fantastic conclusion for the Powell family and segue into the Stone brothers. You really feel a lot of the emotions these two go through on their journey to HEA. Courtney and Spencer are perfect for one another. They just had to get the timing right.

Oh my goodness! I truly enjoyed every moment of Cortney and Spencer's story. There's this long ago connection between the two, that young crush, the intense feelings, and so much more. Spencer's been away for a long time, and there are scars, both emotional and physical, that have guided his life, his choices, and where he is in life. Cortney is a strong single mom, a part of a large found family that I absolutely loved in a previous series. I loved their history, the emotions that were pulled, and the closeness of all of these characters. It's a great journey, a story with characters that are easy to love, and I am excited for more from this new series.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Cortney and Spenser's story is one more common than some. Young love spend night together and boy leaves without a word, and girl is broken hearted and tries to get over it with the protective brothers and step in a cheater just when she is trying to find her happiness like the rest of her family. Honeymoon ruined????? Nope she is going and getting spoiled by herself only Spenser doesn't know and want that to be her plan and we are off and running. One week turns into two and then they say so long at the gate and back to business as usual only neither can forget the other.
Loved that they each had some give and take and in the end they got their HEA together after a long time coming

I have wanted Cortney's story since reading the Powell Sanctuary series and to begin the Stone Trio series including her was a treat. This one was close to home as a burn victim myself, I could relate. I love a second chance and this one not only delivered, it was well deserved. I love how easily Spencer stepped into the honeymoon trip, his peristance was endearing. The banter made this story shine for me and the chemistry was on point. I am definately recommending this one.

I must admit, I wasn't sure where this book was going. There was obvious history between Spencer and Cortney and hints kept getting drip fed. Then...BANG! It all starts coming out. I love the Powell family strength and that they look out for each other but particularly their sister. Poor Cortney couldn't seem to catch a break...just glad she didn't marry dirt bag Sebastian!! Looking forward to reading the next book in this new series.

Cortney hasn't been lucky in love. 1st her high school sweetheart leaves without an explanation then she catches her fiancée cheating. So she goes on her honeymoon alone.....or so she thought until none other than Spencer Stone sits next to her on the plane pretending to be her new husband!
I love the chemistry between these two and once again A.M.Wilson has hit a home run! Amazing!

"In a hurry for something?"
"Only to begin the rest of our lives together."

Spencer Stone.
Forty-One.
Finger tattoo.
Dark hair, that's long enough to grip, with ocean-blue eyes.
Burned on a quarter of his body.
Middle Stone sibling.
Unreliable.

"I never thought I'd get to see her look at me like that ever again and suddenly, I'm not forty-one-year-old Spencer who lost his best friend and burned a quarter of his body in a work accident. I'm eighteen, and Cortney Powell just bullied me into going to senior prom, and she's laughing while I twirl her to some stupid love song in our school's old converted gym."

Cortney Elizabeth Powell.
Forty-One.
Vet.
Five-nine.
Tattoo behind her ear.
Black hair with dark brown eyes.
A seventeen-year old son with some guy that's not in the picture.
Five adopted brothers.

"You will never be less attractive than somebody who's willing fucking someone else's partner. That shit is ugly. And it says nothing about you that those two people, one of whom should have protected your hear with his goddamned life, chose to betray you like that. It's all on them, pretty girl."

This book wasn't terrible, but for me, the reason that Spencer left town was weak. He gave up twenty-years of his life, without his family, friends, and Cortney, because of some blackmail that he could've shut down if he spoke to those around him and let them help him. Instead, he decided to hurt everyone he loved by not having a way to contact him and just left their little town.

Another thing that I didn't quite find to be convincing was the fact that both Spencer and Cortney had been pining after each other for TWENTY-YEARS. No. That's a crazy timeline for them, especially going no-contact. ✨ I understand wanting to pick up where they left off, especially with someone you grew up with, but they're in their forties. They're different people. I feel like if anything, they'd love the idea of the other person, but you can't love someone you don't know anymore. ✨

I did enjoy how close the families were and the protective brothers. The Powells did a great job with keeping their adoptive children in their lives. Lee's, the oldest, partner is Juniper, Corjan is with Bree, Jack is with Whitney, Jude is with Frankie, and Aiden, the youngest and instigator, is with Isla. Due to her brothers all finding their person, Cortney tried to create a life with her (ex) fiancé, Sebastain. That didn't work out when Cortney found her fiancé being intimate with his assist in Cortney's house, on her couch, where she has security cameras.

The Stone siblings: Sutton, Spencer, and Silas all share the same hair, but Silas is taller. While Silas has a slight height advantage, Sutton and Spencer have in bulk. They're close with the Powell family and they all support each other. Sutton has a seven year old daughter, Nellie, and her mom had passed away when she was a year old.

Overall, some parts were cute, but for the most part, I just wasn't into it.

"Cortney is my goddess. And I worship at only her altar."~Spencer

"Spencer was always meant to be mine."~Cortney

This was my first book by this author and I gotta share, I enjoyed it. I know there are previous books pertaining to the families/many siblings involved, but I wasn't lost as I read this second chance at love romance. Granted it took a little over 20yrs and plenty of heartbreak and anguish filled with drama and shady secrets but nobody said it was going to be easy.😄😄

I liked both Spencer and Cortney!! The chemistry between them sizzled.♨️✨♨️✨♨️ Their playful banter, the directness, sometimes annoyance at their unhealed past, the outrageousness had me giggling. I mean the car scene alone. That's later on but I couldn't stop laughing.😜🤭 There's humor. How the wheels have turned for no good for nothing Sebastian. It was his car. That's Cortney's cheating ex-fiancé. She found out before marrying him. Whew! Thankfully. Only to bravely continue to have her 'honeymoon', with {{!!surprise!!}} a man who bought Sebastian's ticket on an auction. Who's that man that suddenly invaded her space? Spencer Stone, of course. Cort's first love, true love, the one who broke her heart by leaving after a night together when they were 18. Girll was not happy.😡 She was sassy and not having it with this joker.hehe Time to pretend a marriage. But a beautiful resort, close proximity, one king size bed, adventures in the ocean and air have a way of enticing.💋 He enticed without shame. And Cort played right along. The things he said.☺️🙊 He freely showed his possiveness and jealousy. The man liked to be in control and dominate.😲 But let me share, Spencer was also hurt and affected by what happened long ago. The man has scars. Both emotionally and physically. He went through it. Spence was in a fire and suffered severe burns. His best friend passed from that accident. Even though he can be snarky and blunt he really was a good guy. Thoughtful. Protective. Loyal. His heart was open to his Cort but he didn't want to advertise it. He showed it in other ways though. Typical man!! Use your words Spencer. Two weeks of Caribbean lusty love.🍹😘😘 It got spicy.🌴🥵🔥🥵🔥🌴 But there was plenty of hidden emotions brewing underneath.

But the real world was calling them back. Is this the start of something new? Or goodbye? Cort has her career, she's a veterinarian. Love that!🐶😺 Has a 17yr old son Ollie from a previous relationship. Her brothers. Lee was a jerk. Spencer has his family too. But there's other secrets at play for him too. I think the world building was good, sometimes, the pace would get a little slow, but it picked right back up. Great couple development. I like that they were older and closely connected. I do recommend. It's sad but sweet. Romantic. Did they get it right this time? I love the book cover. Check out "Spencer".😚😚 Happy reading.*•>§<•*💚💚💚

"Is it possible to fall back in love with someone when you never fell out of love?"

I cried when I finished reading Reclaimed, book five in the Powell series, because I was so sad it was the last one. I didn't want to say goodbye to them all. Turns out I was wrong. This is actually the last book because it's Courtney Powell's story and the entire family is actively present! Yay!

Just like everyone else, I shed no tears over her breakup with Sebastian. I never could stand him and was impatient waiting for her to dump his a**. And based on a number of not to subtle hints, I had a pretty good idea there was a history between her and the missing Stone brother.

The biggest suprise in this pretty straightforward story, was how incredible Spencer is. Holy moly, he's like almost the perfect man, I mean, except for his colossal mistake twenty years ago. He's strong, sexy, confident, charming, sensitive, caring.... The list is unending. And he's so open and honest about his feelings. Every time he called her Kitten I sighed. And the chemistry between these two. Wow! I dare anyone not to fall head over heels for this man. Let me tell you, Courtney is one lucky woman!

The teases about what happened in the past drove me crazy!! It was so clear from almost the start he was totally in love with her, always was and always will be. So I couldn't understand what possibly could have made him leave her, along with the mother and brothers he loves, and never contact any of them for twenty years.

Despite my expectations, this book had very little actual angst. I didn't cry once. And there wasn't even a lot of action. Courtney and Spencer's love story was all about emotions. It was a beautiful second chance story with two people who should never have been parted and who are grateful to finally get to spend the rest of their lives together.

I felt Courtney's heart tugs at the idea Ollie's all grown and off to college. Just like her, it seems like both he and Lincoln grew overnight. I also feel like we finally got to see a little more about brother Sutton, who's story is next, with adorable Silas to follow. Since the Stone brothers are pretty much an extension of the Powells, it's like the family just keeps growing. And wouldn't it be a fantastic idea if eventually we got a next generation series one day? Ollie, Lincoln and sweet little Nellie could start it off and there are an ever-increasing number of Powell offspring that would keep Allison busy for many years to come. I personally would love this. Then I would never have to say goodbye to a family I feel very much a part of.

Actual rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5

I was so glad to receive this ARC as I was pretty curious about Cortney's story! A. M. Wilson's books always feel like a warm blanket around my heart and this one was no exception ❤ With just the right blend of romance and comedy, they're always relaxing and helping cheer me up! I've noticed that I've been reading more "Second chance" romances than usual, which is saying something considering I used to hate this trope, yet somehow I've grown to like and enjoy it lately ❤

I knew Spencer and Cortney's story wasn't over as it was slightly hinted at in Aiden's book, Reclaimed. Cortney was a fierce and hardworking woman, so when all the Powell family members agreed on not being very fond of her ex-fiancée, it was more than clear that they were on to something. It was blatantly obvious that she wasn't happy but clung to him, wanting a happy ending of her own. Her feelings were understandable; it's not fun being the only single person in the family when each one of her siblings had found their life partners 💔

Being chased away from your loved ones at only 17, and then being treated as the bad guy for it by the same people you were trying to protect isn't an easy thing to experience, and yet, that was what Spencer was forced to go through. The man was so utterly lost, and he couldn't settle down, because the only place he'd ever considered as home was the exact same one he wasn't allowed to be in 💔 Spencer was being punished for something he couldn't control and did not even have a hand in, by a ruthless and bitter man who didn't have enough self-respect to lick his wounds in private and turn a blank page.

Two young people were agonizing behind closed doors just so an old fool could have a revenge that served absolutely no purpose, other than tearing two madly in love teenagers who rekindled their feelings as adults, and him ending up being the joke of the town 😒 WAS IT WORTH IT?!! 🤦🏻‍♀️

🌴💔🔥 Revival by A.M. Wilson is the ultimate "honeymoon without the groom but with the hot, broody blast from your past instead" romance—and I was hooked from page one!

After catching her fiancé tangled up with his assistant (ON HER COUCH—rude!), our heroine decides to keep the honeymoon. Because if someone’s getting mojitos and ocean views, it might as well be the one who didn’t cheat, right? #QueenBehavior

Enter Spencer Stone: her brother’s best friend, her first crush, the guy who disappeared after one unforgettable night years ago. And now? He’s suddenly her surprise travel buddy—on the exact same flight, sitting next to her, calling her wife. I MEAN. The universe is clearly in its matchmaking era. 💫

What follows is the dreamiest blend of tropical setting, sizzling chemistry, and emotional revival (pun fully intended). Spencer isn’t just a walking tattooed heartbreak with haunted eyes—he’s the man who's come back for a second chance. And whew, does he make it count.

I adored the banter, the slow unraveling of old wounds, and the delicious tension between two people who have so much history—and still so much left unsaid. It’s angsty, sexy, and so deeply satisfying. The chemistry? Off the charts. The emotional payoff? Everything.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — For second chances in paradise, stolen glances on beach loungers, mojitos that heal heartbreaks, and a love that was never really over. Revival is fun, fiery, and full of feels—you’ll want to pack a bag and book a trip with Spencer ASAP.

Wowowowowowow, Wilson does it again😍

I received this as an ARC, but that does not cloud my judgement. I fell in love with Wilson’s writing when I read Strayed from the Powell Sanctuary series. I got it in a book box and ate that book in an entire night. I immediately order the entire series and finished it all within a week of getting them. Safe to say, I fell in love.

Wilson’s writing is something I easily get sucked into, Revival did just that for me. I was eager to read this book when she gave a sneak peak of it. Courtney’s story is one I was longing for after reading the Powell Sanctuary series. When I got the email I was selected to read the ARC, I fan girl’d hard.

Revival tells Courtney’s story. Her past with Spencer, her baby daddy and Sebastian. Later in the story we figure out Spencer’s reasons for leaving Courtney were not because he wanted to, that he was forced to. They rekindle their love on her honeymoon she was supposed to take, but her POS ex (Sebastian) cheated on her before the wedding. He then sold his portion of the honeymoon at an auction (which Spencer bought).

The scene where Courtney and Spencer have a good ol’🌶️ session on and in Sebastian’s car made me chuckle because karma is a bishhhhh.

If you have never read any of Wilson’s books, you will not be disappointed! They are all easy for me to get consumed in! There isn’t one book I’ve read that I don’t enjoy… Strayed is still my favorite 🤭 I can’t wait for the next book in this trilogy!!!!

"I think that fling might be my forever."

This is a 2nd chance where they were high school first loves, then they weren't. This is about characters that are over the age of 30, and they both have meddling families.

I have loved Cortney since reading the Powell brother's books. So I was very excited that we were getting one for her.

The 1st half of this book takes place on an island vacay. Cortney took her honeymoon without her cheating ex-fiance. But Spencer bought the spare ticket. What follows is a HOT, SPICY 2 week fling that leads them back to each other. I love that Cortney gets Spencer to go on Lil adventures and Spencer helps Cortney regain her confidence.

The second part of the book is back to reality and responsibilities. Things get real and both characters have to figure out the who, what, how, and when of it all. One of my favorite parts is the meet-cute of Ollie(Cortney's 17-year-old son) and Spencer. I laughed so much.

There was no 3rd act breakup, the epilogue had me in happy tears and I can't wait for the rest of this series.

I received this book as an ARC, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
