This is the 3rd in the Kingsmen MC Series, which should be read in order.

Now that Jay has Julia (Lils’) back safe and sound with him he will do anything to protect her and their baby. With Shade’s ex-old and an important ex-member of the Slayers missing Lil’s may be the person going down for Shade’s murder. Jay comes up with several plans to keep Lils’ safe but he knows that it could all fall apart if Lils doesn’t go along with it. Once Lils’ finds out what Jay has done she comes up with a plan of her own. Will risking it all save her family or will it tear her and Jay apart for good?

Julia remains strong after what she has gone through. It’s not easy but she needs to be strong. The stubborn side of her is never too far away but that is one of the things Jay loves about her. Now that the FBI is breathing down their backs as to what really went down Lils’ protective instincts kick in. She wants to protect everyone including Jessica. Keeping her in the dark about what really happened to Emily is putting a strain on Lils’. She needs to talk to some one but involving another friend into this could be a disaster. Lils’ knows they have no real idea what her life was like before she left for College and she isn’t ready to let them know the full extent now.

Jessica comes from a very different life than Julia. Her parents have money and Jess is much more innocence to things Lils’ has been exposed to. When Jess shows interest in Blue, Lils’ puts a stop to it almost immediately, as she lost one of her friends and she is determine not to lose another. Luckily for Lils’ Jess gets to see what Blue likes as he is one of the guards for Lils’ Bachelorette Party and he find his way into Christine’s (a high school friend of Lils’) bed.

Charlie’s still remains very much a mystery to the readers but is strong when she needs to be. She is also there for Lils’ when Lils’ needs her. Being asked to be a bridesmaid surprised her but she is more than happy to be there for her. Her and Clicks relationship is a roller coaster ride. She wants him but the reason she is holding her back.

Jay is all alpha male in this book. His protective instincts has never left him. He is determined to protect Lils’ and his baby from everything that is happening around her. He shelters her from what is going on, only telling her what she needs to know. When Lils is unexpectedly pick up by the FBI and the mystery of the missing man is revealed but this doesn’t help Jay out with finding the real killer and keeping Lils’ and his baby out of Jail. Jay has a plan to protect them but it will only work if his feisty fiancé does as she’s told.

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review. Tara Oakes did it again!! She wrote an amazing conclusion to Jay & Lils’ story. This part of their story had me hooked form the beginning as I wanted to know how Jay was going to protect and prove Lils’ was innocent of killing Shade’s. Jay went out of his way to do what he needed to do to protect Lils’ but of course she doesn’t always see things the way he does which makes thing interesting. Charlie and Click’s story continues to grow in this book but it leaves more question than answers. The roller coaster ride Tara took us on to end this story kept me on the edge of my seat and left me unable to put the book down. I had to know how things connected to each other and whether or not Lils would go down for Shade’s murder. I was hoping for some answer as to what Charlie was up to but Tara kept everything a secret until the very end. If you haven’t read this series yet, you don’t know what you’re missing!!!

I received an ARC for a honest review. We pick up where we left off from book 2. "I'm not a girly girl!" Poor Lil's she's just sitting there playing with her ring contemplating the wedding, her pregnancy everything that happened when she was kidnapped. She's been through so much especially her best friend being killed. Now she's having to deal with the cops and wanting to know who actually killed Shade trying to trick her with this, that or another. Doesn't matter though, she's a strong damn character in this book and even the previous 2 of course. You have to be for the life she was born into. She tried to run away from it years ago but it just didn't work out. She loves Jay to much and she won't leave again, that's a given!

Now Jay, damn what can I say about him. His secret that he keeps from Lil's and that heart wrenching letter he left her the day after they were married made me cry. I didn't see that coming that soon anyways. I knew Jay would be up to something to keep her protected at all costs even if that included giving into what ever means necessary.

Then we have Charlie and Clink....now Charlie has me fascinated I am trying so hard to figure out her secret and I've come up with 2 so far but have to wait see with their story. Other than that, that's all I"m giving away. I always put in a few of my favorite quotes from the book of course but no more. I don't want to spoil it. If you haven't read books 1 and 2, get them now especially if you love MC books. Tara has rocked this series each time. Thank you for giving me an ARC it was another great read Tara! Can't wait for you next one!

Lil's: Some men are ass men, some legs...but Jay? He was all about the boobs. He was happier than a kid in a damn candy store just to get lost in my tits. They're like crack to him. If he could snort them, he would.

I need to concentrate on those feelings. I need to compartmentalize the good from the bad and just shove them away for now. Yes, I was questioned by the FBI a few days ago. Yes, I'm terrified that I may be taken from the man I love and accused of something I did not do. Yes, I have seen terrible things that will haunt me for the rest of my life. But I need to focus on the here and now.

Jessica: Now this part here, made me spew my drink out all over my phone while reading this. There's a character named Nick, his friends call him Nicky Fishy. Jess is doing some 'undercover' work for Lil's won't say what. But let's just say what Nick does geezzzzzz....
" Nick dips his head low to clear the hemline and the forefront of his face disappears under it. I hear a loud swishing sound, followed almost immediately by a warm sticky breeze up my inner thighs. The bastard is sniffing me." (Nick) "Mmmmmm....That's top notch snatch right there." .....Needless to say I had to clean my phone. LMAO

Jay: I'm writing this letter because I can't tell you this in person. I'm only so strong, Lil's, and I don't think I'd be able to do what I needed to be done if I had to watch the hurt in your eyes when I told you. This is one time I can't chance being weak."

This letter he wrote to Lil's is so heartfelt. Jay will do what he must to keep her protected but little does he know that his little spit fire will do whatever it takes to get him back.

I sat down on the floor and stuck my hand in between the the bars. You latched on and finally stopped crying. You just kept looking at me. I tried to let go, and you started to cry again. So I just sat there for a long time with my hand stuck in the crib. Eventually you fell asleep. I could have taken my hand back, but I didn't. I couldn't. I wanted you to know that someone was there.

Something changed. You weren't just Tiny's to take care of and protect anymore. You were mine, too. I remember the first time I knew I loved you. I remember the first time I kissed you. I remember the first time I made love to you, and I remember the time you broke my heart. ~ Jay Cauley

A Lil' Less Hopeless is the third installment in the Kingsmen Series, and let me tell you Jay and Lil's love is truly epic. Jay gets more and more perfect with every turn of the page. Swoon worthy is not even a good enough term to describe him. No joke, physically, he sounds like a god. The way he talks to Lils is the most incredible mixture of sweet talk and dirty talk. I would love to get naughty with Jay because damn, he totally knows what he's doing.

So...again, if you haven't read the first two Kingsmen books GET THEM!! You have to know the background and cast of characters to understand the story.

A Lil' Less Hopeless picks up after Lils rescue from being kidnapped by a rival gang. It was a horrible, tragic incident and now everyone is trying to get their lives back to normal. Except they can't...that's right...Lils is on the short list of suspects being looked at for the killing of Shade, the rival gangs President.

As the Kingsmen try to go about their business, Jay decides he wants to marry Lils like now and she agrees. Well, she asks for three weeks to plan. Apparently MC clubs have the resources to plan a big event more quickly than Lils realizes. The girls get their bachelorette party and even though Lils is pregnant a good time is had by all. The boys on the other hand never get to party because well Lils gets picked up for the whole shooting Shade thing.

Now, there's a plot twist that totally made me cry and fall even more in love with Jay. I've read a lot of different kinds of books and I'll tell you, I've NEVER felt a love like Lils and Jay's before. They've literally been in love their entire lives and it's an equal love. They would go to the ends of the earth to save each other.

I'm not giving anything else away because duh, you know I want you to read the book. I will tell you that Charlie...that chick is still a woman of mystery. Even though she gives in to her feelings for Clink, girl's got something else going on and I can't wait to find out.

That leads me to...guess what??? Charlie and Clink's story is next and I have to find out what secrets Charlie is hiding. Who is she and what is she all about? And of course I need more Jay and Lils. I can't wait to meet that baby!!

A well deserved four lip smack review. I'm completely excited for the fourth book in February. Even better news, Tara Oakes is releasing a full length novel (whoop, whoop)! When you one click A Lil' Less Hopeless, you'll get an excerpt of Baby V. Get preordering friends!

From the moment I started this book i was hooked and couldn't put it down.

A Lil Less Hopeless picks up were we left off. Jay got Lils back and Shade is dead. Cops are sniffing around the MC trying to get to the bottom who actually killed Shade. Meanwhile, Lils and Jay are steady preparing to get married. Dress shopping and bachelorette/bachelor parties are being planned and fun is being had. But a trip to the precinct has Lils rattled and Jay worried. Jay will do anything to protect Lils...but little does he realize she has the same desire to do any and everything she can do to protect and save the man she loves.

Tara does a great job yet again with weaving Jay and Lils' lives together. One of the things I love about this Kingsmen MC Series is the great balance of suspense, humor, love and steaminess. I've really enjoyed Jay and Lils' story thus far and if I'm being honest, now I need Clink and Charlie! I can't wait to dive into Charlie's secrets and figure that chick out. And don't get me started on Click! I got a taste for him and that nibble was NOT enough!

My Rating:

4.5

Favorite Quotes:

”He may be the one to have just woken up, but his eyes are wide and alert while I had no doubt mine were in fact dreamy.”

“Glad to know I can realistically pass for a hooker if need be.”

“He asked me a long time ago, in the beginning, if I was his girl. Truth be told, I was always his girl. And I always will be.”

“This man, this family that I expected nothing from, surprised me by giving me the one thing I deeply needed. The one thing I convinced myself a long time ago that I could live without. Belonging. I belong here.”

My Review:

More delicious alpha males, steamy love scenes, drama, and suspense. I am addicted to Tara Oakes’ sassy gals and hot and bossy, yet big-hearted bikers. This one goes back and forth in time with their memories, and is written from several different points of view, which I totally appreciate. As always, Ms. Oakes provided me with a quick, easy, sexy, and absorbing read for my afternoon entertainment.

I want more!!!
I am really serious with that "I want more". A Lil' Less Hopeless is the third installment of Kingsmen MC and I really hope it is not the last one for Lil and Jay because I don't think I am ready to let. go of them yet.
This book was written with flashbacks and with other multiple POVs, which for me made the book more interesting.
I think this is my favorite among the three books yet. It is sexy, exciting, and I love to see how Lil matures and do things she doesn't usually do. It shows how amazing ol'lady she is.
When I thought I already love Jay, in this book i fall in love with him all over again *sigh*.
The fan girl in made me wish that this book is much more longer.. I can't wait to see Lil giving birth and Jay being a father and I am so eager to know Charlie's secret.

A Lil' Less Hopeless continues with Jay and Lils and the aftermath of Shade's demise. The cops are investigating and trying to figure out who killed Shade and are hanging close to The Kingsmen MC club.

I really love the sense of family you get from a The Kingsmen MC club and the way they take care of those in the Kingsmen family. Jay and Lils are looking forward to their upcoming nuptials and Jay is willing to do anything for Lils.

It's good to see throughout the three books that Jay sticks by his love no matter what, even when she took off and left him but ended up finding herself in a bad predicament. Can't wait to read more about The Kingsmen!

I recommend this series because there is suspense, love, hot sex scenes and a great sense of family. Great reads!

A lil less bored would do...Well that does it for me. When I know I have skimmed at least half the book to read the plot and story I know we're in trouble!

They don't seem so smart for an MC gang. Couldn't see an undercover anything as quick as I did - really? Take the blame for something instead of finding who you're looking for. The heroine and her friend source the info not the almighty club. His inability to include her in decision making - being treated like a dumb bimbo!

Then all of a sudden we jump 2 months and we're at a BBQ all the drama happening away from the pages... OK then. So I skipped all the rubbish and the author skips the good bit🙃

If you love a great biker read you have just found one of the best series! There is lots of suspense and action pack into such a fast read you don't even realize how fast it is till your sitting there think I just started. There is plenty of Alpha male to deal with in Jay alone but you throw in the rest of the Kingsmen and your have yourself a book full of hotness. Lil's still Lil never really backs down but know when to pick her fights and boy can she pick them!

Amazing read By Tara Oakes! Looking forward to many more!

I want....no I need more of Lil and Jay asap!!! There is still so much more I want to see and hear.

This is the third book in the Lil’ Less series and it more or less wraps up the story of Lil’ and Jay, and what a it story it has been. (Sigh.) I really enjoyed this last installment. The story line was solid and continued on from the previous book. It once again showed just how deep of a commitment Jay has for Lil’ and highlights Lil’s feisty side. Love the small twist and the lead in to the next book. I CAN NOT wait to find out what Charlie is hiding!!!! This book is steamy, romantic and a good read. I give this book 4.5 stars and 4 hands down the pants.

I really love this series, it's one of my favorite MC series. Jay & Lils' have been through so much in there young lives & have just gotten each other back. I loved the letter Jay wrote her it was so damn sweet & what he did was so unbelievable. This time it was Lil's turn to be strong & protect her family & she does just that with the help of a friend & a FBI agent.

Jay and Lil are planning their wedding. What Lil doesn't know is that Jay has a plan that doesn't include her.
They had their wedding night and when Lil gets up Jay is no where to be found. She sets out to right the wrong that has been done, without the approval of their families.
The one thing I haven't understood in this series is that it was stated that Lil has the mouth of a sailor. I haven't seen any indication of this being true, so I am surprised that it was mentioned. It just seems like a strange comment to add and then not back up with dialogue in which it occurs.
Still a great story and I love the secondary characters and want to learn so much more about them.

~~~Michelle's ★★★★★ Review~~~
WOW….JUST WOW….. A Lil’ Less Hopeless is the third book in the Kingsmen MC and it was by far my favorite. I absolutely love Lils & Jay and the chemistry they have with each other is awesome. Lil’s one of the best heroine’s I have read….she is witty, fun and takes no SH%T. Jay is….well...he rocks my world. I love his protectiveness nature towards Lil....who doesn’t want a hot man taking care of you. He is going to be an awesome father.
You fall in love with their story and Tara Oaks does an amazing job keeping the book flowing and you are continually guessing what will happen next. I absolutely love the sense of family the characters have with each other. Oaks’ writing is phenomenal – she makes you feel the emotions playing out with each character. The different POV makes the book awesome as you get a look into each character. This book is HOT, suspenseful and has some funny moments….Did I mention HOT… Oh and Jay’s letter to Lil….OMG…..makes you love him just a little more (if that is even possible)
I loved this book and cannot wait to see what Tara Oaks has planned next…. Awesome job…
~~~Dee's ★★★★ Review~~~

This book concludes the love story of Jay and Lil. It is an endearing tale of love, family and a willingness to sacrifice whatever is necessary for the wellbeing of the other. The letter Jay wrote Lil the day after their wedding made me cry. And the reaction and response to that reality made me want to cheer Lil and say, " Go girl!".

It was an interesting experience getting to look inside the inner workings of a Motorcycle Club. The characters, their reactions and dialogue, the events made for a good drama of love, suspense, and mystery. Happy to know the mystery continues in the next book to learn the secrets of Charlie and the budding interest between her and Clink. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was given this ARC for an honest review.

In this third installment of The Kingsmen MC book series by Tara Oaks I give it four stars. This book was less about Jay and Lils as it ends there love story. It includes the wedding, of course, and you get to see some exciting new developments. In this book you get more of an insight of Clink and Charlie. This story was engaging and interesting. Many twists and turns. I love the new characters and look forward to seeing how things develop in book four. A lot of questions will be answered, however, you will have new ones come up.

When I finished A Lil' Less Lost it ended with a mysterious woman who had insinuated herself into the club by catching the attention of a biker who doesn't take no for an answer...and helping out Lils' when she was hurt...but that's all we knew about the sneaky Charlie. I hoped we would find out more about her in this book, but nope, we have to wait for book 4 BUT that is ok because this one was chock full of action and romance as Jay and Lils' prepare to walk down the aisle.
Some surprise guests at the wedding make things tearfully joyful and after much planning and funny scenes (boys and girls nights with sexy antics)...Jay and Lils' have their HEA wedding night.
Of course, nothing ever stays happily ever after in this world of the MC, especially since there are still charges from a murder hanging over their heads...and when a witness they have been looking for turns out to be not who he was first thought to be, everything changes for Jay and Lils' relationship.
How much is too much to sacrifice for the woman you love and to what lengths will a man go to ensure her safety and that of their unborn child?
Will Jay and Lils' find a way to get out of their predicament and who the heck is this Charlie girl and what does she REALLY want with the MC?? Well you'll just have to read to find out!
I loved this book as much as the first two! It was sexy and romantic and the plot to get to the truth was thrilling and kept my interest up all the way to the too quick ending!!
I am anxious now...REALLY curious to find out what Charlie has been hiding and how it will impact the club and her relationship that she is now fully committed to protect.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

MY THOUGHTS~

I was provided with a Review Copy/ARC for review.
This review is much the same as my reviews of the first two books in this series, A Lil' Less Broken and A Lil' Less Lost.
To start, I want to say that I am a huge Biker/MC book junkie. I really like this story, but it isn't your run of mill Biker/MC book. It isn't as dark and gritty as most of my faves are. Although, this third book is a bit more on my normal level. Still a good story.
I love this continuation and basically a wrap up of Jay & Lil's story! I didn't want to put it down. Honestly, I love how things turned out, but I'm really not ready to be done with this couple! Oh well, I can always re-read, I guess.
As I said, the story line itself is great, but the writing itself leaves something to be desired. Although, it is better in this last book in my opinion. The story is conveyed and makes sense, but the punctuation isn't quite right and the tense is off (back and forth) throughout the book. Some people may not notice that as much in a book, but it's a pet-peeve of mine. I do however, realize that it can be a difficult part of the writing process. Regardless though, I think a lot of the grammatical and tense errors probably should have been picked up on in the editing process.
Anyway, I will be continuing the series asap. I really do love the characters and the story line. I'm anxiously waiting to find out what Charlie's deal is in the next book! Can't wait!!

I've liked each book better than the last and thank goodness in this one, the words didn't run together so you can read the story not having to decipher it.

The story of Jay and Lil continues with Jay stepping up to protect Lil by admitting to a murder he did not commit. It's a book of family and we get to read a little more about Charlie and Clink. I'm looking forward to reading their story because normally you can guess what someone is hiding but there have been no clues in the previous two books so it's intriguing.

I was a little disappointed at how quickly the ending was wrapped up. The section with Jess was over in a flash although as each book links nicely, it may be part of the next story.

Great conclusion to Jay and Lil's love story. It's the aftermath of her being kidnapped, engaged, and pregnant. In the past Jay has be steadfastly loyal towards Lil's while she's been a little wishy washy. Lil's will need to stepup to the plate and show her loyalty towards Jay. Jay will stop and nothing to protect Lil's and his baby so he decides to marry her right away. He throws himself on his sword to protect her and leaves her a tearjerker letter about how much he loves her. When she wakes up she's pissed because all her dreams are about the be destroyed. Can Lil's finally stepup to the plate and show her loyalty to Jay or will she fall back on old habits? Jay has always had Lil's back but she usually doesn't. In a the past Lil's has jumped to the wrong conclusions and creating a mess of her life. Can she get her head out of her butt and finally show that she's worthy of Jay? Lil's has been a frustrating character because she's so impulsive which in turn derails her life. Jay has clean up her messes and does what is necessary to protect Lil's. This time he has made the ulitimate sacrifice and Lil's needs to step up before her life is derailed forever. Jay is still a loyal character who is so hot in and out of the bedroom. Hopefully Lil's will beable to step up and save him for a change.

After a bumpy start I came back to this one and I'm glad that I did. I really love how feisty Lil's is and how she just doesn't let Jay push her around. In this installment it was Lil that outshined everyone. I really love them together though and Jay is one hot alpha

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Again I loved the characters, mostly Jay and Lil's. They're both interesting characters who make things their own and fights for what they want. It was just amazing, and sigh.

The flashbacks were interesting and gave even more insights into characters, allowing a glimpse into the past. There were also chapters done from different character's perspectives. And not necessarily just Jay and Lil's. There certainly is a mystery involved around one of the characters and I am very curious to find out what is going on there.

Another thing I love about these books is the sense of family you get from reading. It just gives you a warm feeling inside.

And then some of the actions of the characters. Very unexpected. It kept me on my toes. Overall A Lil' Less Hopeless is an amazing addition to a great series!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, betrayal, danger, suspense, and heartbreak.

If you have not already read the below I recommend reading them first:
A Lil' Less Broken (The Kingsmen MC #1)
A Lil' Less Lost (The Kingsmen MC #2)

This is more of Lil’s and Jay’s story. What happens when you husband is willing to give up everything for you? Can you in turn offer the same thing for his return? Can Lil’s and Jay really survive without each other? When the going gets tough Lil’s will do anything and everything to get her man to come home to her. Will it be everything they have always wanted and knew it could be?

I recommend this book and can’t wait for the net story from this author.

In the last installment of the Kingsman series we see that Jay was willing to put everything on the line to find and rescue the love of his life Lils. We think that all is going along smooth, until a plot twist comes into play and we see Lils stepping up and rescuing Jay. There is no way that someone as sassy and witty and strong willed will sit by and let anyone take a fall.
She goes against all orders from the club and goes out on her own with the help of a friend to set things straight and right the road to her HEA.

Another page turner that kept me on the edge of my seat. This series is the first I have read of Tara Oakes, and her writing style and descriptions of the scenes will make me a fan for life. Loved it.
