“Offers instructions on care, including light, humidity, temperature, watering, and feeding requirements...creating groupings, propagating plants from seed and cuttings, trimming leaves, and pruning roots...[this] profusely illustrated and informative guide is in color.”— Booklist . “An informative, exquisitely illustrated guide to growing tropical and subtropical trees and shrubs as bonsai....Plants for beginners are clearly marked.”— Library Journal.
Good introduction, but lacking in visuals imo. I found it kind of difficult to follow the instructions in a couple of places. Also the order in which the book is laid out is kind of odd. The tools section is towards the back, when tools are an essential bit of maintaining a bonsai tree in the first place? It'd make more sense for this section to go in the beginning of the book.
It ha some useful information but the book is organised weirdly, with information at the back that would be more useful towards the front. My copy also has a misprint which makes a few pages unreadable.
