For half a century, people have debated the Kennedy assassination. Some claim that the Warren Commission got it right — that Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald, a lone-nut assassin. Others contend that Kennedy was killed as part of a conspiracy. It is not the purpose of this book to engage in that debate. The purpose of this book is simply to focus on what happened at Bethesda Naval Hospital on the evening of November 22, 1963. What happened that night is so unusual that it cries out for truthful explanation even after all these years. In this book, you will learn that 1. Kennedy’s body was actually delivered to the Bethesda morgue twice, at separate times and in separate caskets. 2. Some photographs and x-rays from the autopsy went missing from the record, and other photographs in the record were forged or otherwise fraudulent. 3. The president's body was altered by tampering with the wounds before the autopsy took place. And much more.
The Kennedy Autopsy By: Jacob Hornberger Narrated by: Kevin Pierce I had this book a while then saw it on freeaudiblecodes so I grabbed it. I have always be interested in and repulsed by the secrecy that is obviously a cover up of the shooting of JFK. JFK once told his wife that if he was assassinated that Johnson would be behind it. This book doesn't go into the conspiracy theories but just what happened after he got shot! I bet many people wouldn't be able to guess how many times his casket arrived at the place for autopsy. Three times! Each under secrecy! His wife thought she was with him the whole time but it was empty! There were four shots but only three were suppose to be by the single shooter. So they made the magic bullet theory. He was also shot from the front. The autopsy report itself was a mess! They kept changing where the wounds were and how many! How suspicious can you be? We will probably never know the truth but I believe that there was a conspiracy. How can all of this go on that is in this book without a reason. The only reason they would have is to cover something up! Interesting and informative book! Great narration also!
Hornberger entertains the reader with an excerpted compilation of the various articles he's written about the various aspects of the Kennedy assassination, all of which fuel the belief that things are not as public was led to believe. Focussing on three key areas--Kennedy's wounds, the arrival of the body at the Bethesda Naval Hospital, and the documentation of the autopsy--Hornberger shows the reader just how outrageous the official findings tend to be. Throughout this short book, the glaring inaccuracies and fabricated evidence piles up, leaving the sensible reader to see that a conspiracy is the only possible answer. Short chapters prove highly effective to push the argument along and Hornberger's reasoning is sound, which can only help readers understand how duped the world has been for over half a century.
I have enjoyed the ongoing Kennedy assassination conspiracy for most of my life, having cut my teeth on it during the Oliver Stone classic film. What Hornberger seeks to do in this collection is nothing new or even shocking, but only adds to the ongoing collection of evidence that readers can digest at their liking. Told in a succinct and convincing manner, Hornberger does not mince words or let characters have the benefit of the doubt. He does, however, offer strong and compelling arguments while keeping his soapbox preaching to a minimum. A good piece of conspiracy material that has younger theorists like myself eager for the day all is released for thorough vetting.
Kudos, Mr. Hornberger for this compilation of interesting insights. I am curious to get my hands on some of your full-length articles to see more of the thorough arguments for myself.
This book was exciting & fun to read. It's also FREE using Amazon's Kindle Unlimited.
The specifics given herein aren't too complicated or confusing and the chapters are short so you feel like you've accomplished a lot in a short span of time. I consider myself a JFK conspiracy theorist and general crime buff. This book gave me everything I enjoy: details, well-supported evidence, likely thoughts behind actions/activities, & new information - at least for me.
just for the record, I have never been convinced of oswalds guilt at least as a singular assassin. anyone who believes that has done no research at all and accepts the spoon fed media mantra. this book shed light on Lyndon Johnson's role and some of the cover up in the autopsy. I confess I actually watched JFK by Oliver stone. both kennedys were murdered by insiders - anyone doing the most peripheral research will come to that conclusion. the book was well-written, but had its technical spots where one could get lost or bored. not recommended for sheeple.
If you are a Kennedy assassination conspiracy theorist novice this is great book to start with. How can the Parkland hospital doctors and the Bethesda Autopsy docs disagree on where President Kennedy's wounds were? Why did the SS pull their weapons to remove Kennedy's body from Dallas? Why did LBJ wait for the late President's body? And why was there an hour lost between leaving the airport and the Body arriving at Bethesda? Why are there two separate photographers who claim to have taken the autopsy photos?
President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was one of the most popular presidents in American history. He also made more than a few enemies while in office. Although his assassination occurred in 1963, speculation regarding the circumstances of his death still persists today.
Jacob Hornberger has focused solely on the autopsy that took place after Kennedy’s death. The Kennedy Autopsy is a detailed and concise account of what the author has deemed to be full of many inconsistencies during the investigation surrounding the Kennedy assassination.
The author provides a great deal of information that had not come to light until long after the president’s death. Yes, it was a bit dry, but that’s to be expected when sharing reports, evidence, statements and testimony.
The Kennedy assassination will continue to be a controversial event in U.S. history. There will always be segments of the population that will fall on one side of the controversy or the other. Although I found this book to be well researched and compelling, I know that this is a subject that will never truly be closed. I’m of the belief that, if the United States government wants to bury the truth regarding just about anything – controversial or not – chances are it will remain buried. The Kennedy Autopsy gives readers another opportunity to revisit and examine any seemingly suspicious actions surrounding the autopsy.
Good book. I think it’s plausible. I recommend it.
There are so many Assassination theory books on JFK and after all these years, it’s become a cottage industry almost to write one. I have read many of them. This book sets the others apart because, the author makes “common” sense of the evidence of events surrounding the autopsy of JFK. These are things that happened; facts. Then he makes a case for why it happened and he give a couple of excellent national security hypotheses. I am left concurring that his case for what happened is plausible.
Interesting facts and theories, and a few things I didn't know about the JFK case. At the same time it was annoyingly repetitive, and the even more annoying (also repeptitive) questions "do you see the problem?", "now do you see the problem?". The writing is worth 1,5 stars, but the facts and analyzis definitely earn their own stars.
Jacob Hornberger brings out some interesting theories about the possible cover up of John F. Kennedy's autopsy. Could it have happened, will we ever know the whole truth.
( Format : Audiobook ) "Some sort of horror story that was real." I was in my late teens when the news of President Kennedy's assassination rocked the world. It felt as devastating at the time as 9/11 did almost 40 years later. Surely this wasn't possible in America? And, in the aftermath, increasingly it felt that something was wrong with the facts presented and the secrecy surrounding the evidence of the death of that much loved man. All sorts of conspiracy theories were muted, not least that of a second shooter on the 'grassy knoll ', the unexpected deaths of many who had any closer knowledge of events of that day, and the locking up of statements and evidence made to the Warren Commission for 75 years, too far in the future for almost anyone who might have had an interest to be long gone - myself included.
So this book was an excellent presentation of, not vague theories but statements of people who were actually present at the time of the body's journey from the hospital which received Kennedy's body immediately after the shooting through to that where the autopsy (s?) was conducted, with alternate suggestions of what occurred where needed. With two main sections, that of the multiple coffin scenario, and the strange 'magic bullet' suggestion, covered with fascinating clarity, the book is completed with documents quoted in appendices A and B. There are, naturally, repetitions in places where scenarios overlap but This is usually helpful to refresh the reader's memory in the face of such bizarre events. This fascinating book was narrated with clarity and expertise by Kevin Pierce.
Enjoyable is not really the correct term, given the subject matter, but so much I had not previously known has helped to clarify my thoughts of this tragic time. How different the world might have been had Kennedy lived to complete his term of office and a second one, a far safer and equitable world for us all. So my thanks to FABC for making The Kennedy Autopsy a freely available complimentary download to anyone requesting it, and the rights holder who made this possible. Highly recommended to everyone who has an interest in the politics of power, the recent history of the U.S.of A as well as a strange, almost unbelievable mystery murder thriller.
The Kennedy Autopsy is a must read for people seriously interested in the Kennedy assassination. It's only 12 chapters long (with two Appendices) but that is all it needs to succinctly convey the issues involved. All the sources are referenced and verifiable by the reader, should they wish to do so, but the hard work has already been done. It makes sense of the confusing contradictory accounts paraded by both pro and anti conspiracy theorists and, for those who cannot understand how 'the wider conspiracy' could have been affected (those who say, quite rightly, 'the more people in on the conspiracy the weaker it gets'), Chapter 10's proposition of a possible telephone conversation brilliantly makes it clear how this could have been managed. For me there are only two conclusions to be taken from this book. Either the federal agencies who 'stole' this investigation and autopsy were, at best, grossly incompetent or something stinks. When you've agreed that 'something in the fridge doesn't smell right' then it's time to inspect the contents. Most people enquiring into the Kennedy Assassination start with Oswald, an enigma and most probably an intelligence community manufactured enigma. Having researched this subject for years I now think the starting point for anyone should be the Autopsy. Don't be deflected by side issues of whether or not JFKs injuries were altered because the main point is why would the Federal Government hijack a procedure it had no legal rights to? I think Mr Hornberger has more than adequately answered that question. And don't get bogged down in the fact that he is sometimes repetitive in mentioning some particular sources, the book is after all a collection of 'essays'. It would benefit from a swift edit though. I would recommend this book and 'Not In Your Lifetime: The Assassination Of JFK' to anyone who wants to understand what surrounded JFK's death without being confused and dazzled by the smoke and mirrors.
most strongly recommend this work referenced by Mr. Jacob Hornberger regarding Mr. Douglas P. Horne's investigation to positively recognize a state crime. That is, State Crimes Against Democracy! (SCAD)
This publication by Mr. Jacob Hornberger is one of, if not the most important hard core proof & personal validation for emotionally mature Americans to tell you in specific detail that the for the last 50 years or so you've been disrespected and marginalized by elements of my government on how John F. Kennedy was murdered and there's been a specific reason why. Mr. Douglas P. Horne served as Chief Analyst for Military Records for the ARRB and he's got something to show you because this absolutely remarkable information is a direct result of Americans watching Oliver Stone's movie JFK, causing a overwhelming public outcry from Americans-forcing Congress to establish the Assassination Records Review Board (ARAB) in 1993 that eventually resulted in the releasing of thousands of documents previously withheld from you.
I think it would be reasonable to ask why the hell all of this nasty stuff was classified/covered up in the first place presenting a mature justification to question the honesty of the Warren Report
Think about it, why all the BS all these years? Why did George Bush Sr. make the comment he did at Ford's funeral? Why did Ford cheat and change the rules? What the hell was really going on regarding Watergate? Why do we have people like Cass Sunstein who claims my government needs to support a process to quell questions regarding what happened to Mr. Kennedy, all paid for by your taxes dollars? Why did jfk fire the family who screwed him in the first place be allowed in the investigation after his death? Why do/did we have two people in charge of "investigating 9/11" giving the excuse that any failure to do the job right is because of the Warren Commission? Why do we have the MSM bloviating the garbage pondered by my government? Was Johnson was really worried about an attack on this nation; all while he sat there on the runway for such a long time? If anything, it sort of reminds me of Bush sitting there in that class room looking really confused all while we were told my nation was being attacked by bin Laden, even before the first tower had failed. Never mind the fact that the Bush White House admitted publicly on national television in 2007 that bin Laden was not the master mind of 9/11. If you weren't aware of this public discloser by the MSM via the White House, it all sort of makes things pretty special when Obama reported that "we got him", even though the photos were fake and the author of No Easy Day reported on 60 minutes that whoever they killed, did not look like the boogie man we've all being told that done it.
For those who have actually read the 9/11 commission report and will say it was KSM that was the mastermind of 9/11, I will remind you that at the beginning of chapter 5, we have that little qualifier telling you that there's possibly more bs ahead, so BEWARE (Page 146, "Detainee Interrogation Reports", 9/11 Commission Report). I would point out The Senate Intelligence Committee Report on Torture: Committee Study of the Central Intelligence Agency's Detention and Interrogation Program tells you that the CIA was full of it so who ever had anything to say after being at the Holiday express back in Cuba is null and void. Even Obama admitted it was all wrong. By the way, anyone remember what Obama said about anyone questing 9/11 a few years ago? Confusing, uh? Guess it's one of those underreported things again.
Speaking of the news regarding underreporting/misdirected reporting and flat out censored material, this all reminds me about Kennedy's Assistant White House Press Secretary Malcolm Kilduff after he had just talked to the Dr who reported jfk was dead. Towards the end of Malcolm reporting jfk had died, a reporter asked for more details on how, but most Americans have no clue about the last 15 seconds cause there was a reason for you not to see what Malcolm did and say all at the same time. Sort of reminds me of the underreporting regarding Adm. McRaven who some how purged all the files dealing with Osama Bin Laden and then his comments about what he did was quietly removed from the final version of the defense department's inspector general's report. If this sounds like nothing but distortion, I remind you about Extortion 17.
Anyways, the initial question was why? You've been played and the proof of this astonishing control over our society is the inability for most to call it like it is. There was a public execution/murder in this nation over 50 years ago and my government failed to bring to justice the son of bitches that did this and the proof is in this small introduction to the detailed medical report regarding JFK's murder that my government, or specific elements of my government is directly responsible for. Kept in mind that my comments are my own while reading that the evidence the guilty got a way back in 1963 resulted in 9/11.
I'm reminded that if this was to happen to a different democratically elected leader...say in a different country, it would be called a Coup. I'll note that the CIA or leadership elements of the CIA use your tax money to choreograph major advantages for the movers and shakers on Wall Street resulting in the subversion of my government for not only Americans, but the population worldwide. The example on how the initial selfish holy than thou, "murderous, 007 playboys" leaders in the CIA abused millions can be found in several publications I've reviewed previously.
You know, JFK told us that "The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie, deliberate, contrived and dishonest, but the myth, persistent, persuasive and unrealistic", as noted in the very first page of this remarkable document. This idea reminds me about that damn U.S. military base on the island of Cuba where as there were thousands of Russians with apparently a whole lot of nucs ready to go at it with the U.S. about 50 years ago... yet that U.S. Military base is still there on a island ruled by an Communist leader? Guess it's all a good thing cause now the CIA can beat the hell out of people to get a forced confession out of them in a country that is apparently ok for American leadership to have the U.S. military industrial complex influence the quality of life on that small little island. Does this make sense? How about if North Korea had a base one of our small islands of the coast of California where they get to beat the hell out of people to cover up their crimes? Uh?
"By early 1960 a national intelligence estimate predicted that the Soviet Union would deploy thirty-five ICBMs by mid-1960, and 140 to 200 by 1961. In the end they deployed only four by 1961."
I thought this was going to be a quick read at 115 pages. This was far from the truth. Throughout the book, there are numerous links referring the reader to peruse lengthy reports and articles. The material of the book was dry and information was repeated in nearly every chapter. Anyone with any background in forensics, you are constantly questioning the actions of the CIA, FBI, Secret Service, and the government as to why evidence is not being preserved, the chain of evidence is broken, and a massive investigation was not conducted. Finally, in the last four chapters, everything comes together. My favorite part was the discussion of the "Magic Bullet" that traverses clothing, skin, muscle tissue, and bone and is found completely intact and in pristine condition. There are a couple pictures included - nothing gorey. I probably will not be reading Book 2 of this series.
Clear, accessible, common-sense writing on the JFK assassination is not as common as you might think, even after many decades and hundreds of books have been written. This book and its companion, The Kennedy Autopsy 2: LBJ's Role in the Assassination, are very useful, short summaries for the uninitiated, and even for those of us who have read many books on JFK, the clarity and honesty of these books offer refreshing insights. If you are interested in America's greatest domestic crime of the Twentieth Century but are afraid of being labeled a "conspiracy theorist" for expressing your interest, read these books. You'll be glad you spent the time.
I really enjoyed this book. This book strictly focuses on the JFK Autopsy, and not on how many shots were fired. It gives an astounding theory about how the JFK autopsy was not botched but deliberately used to cover up the true facts of the assassination. The theory was first posited by David Lifton in his 1981 book "Best Evidence". This book gives a clear timeline of what happened when and then a good theory to match the facts as to why it was done. It is chilling. The book is just over 100 pages so it is a quick read. The writing is good and each chapter builds on the previous. I am looking forward to reading book 2 next.
I have always been fascinated with anything surrounding JFK, his life and his death. And this short story gives you just enough to confirm suspicions regarding that fateful day in November. The autopsy or lack of, you’ll understand more if and when you read this and how the secret service demanded that the parkland doctors not to do the autopsy in Dallas, even showing their guns when they wouldn’t let them leave.
This was intriguing and yet frustrating, even in death JFK didn’t get the justice that he deserved, so many cover ups and lies!
I’d write more but I don’t want to spoil it for others but this book is outstanding!
A fascinating collection of articles about the fraudulent and illegal autopsy of President John F. Kennedy orchestrated and covered up by the United States military. Given its short length of around 100 pages, I would recommend this book to EVERYONE; it serves as a springboard for breaking down the deeply entrenched lies most people are led to believe about the JFK assassination and national security establishment. It can sometimes feel like it needlessly repeats information because they were originally written as separate articles instead of chapters, but that does not reduce the importance of the information this book lays out. Required reading for any JFK assassination researcher.
The evidence is presented in a manner that brings the reader to draw conclusively that there was far more involved than what was fed to the American people as the "official" version of events and facts. The ramifications and implications point increasingly to conspiracy by an all- powerful, self- serving echelon of military and government elite, a " rogue" faction tailoring and manipulating events to perpetuate itself in the vein of some of the most frightening Hollywood fiction. And where does that leave us today?
I chose to read this, because I clearly remember President Kennedy's assassination. I was 15 and sitting in 10th grade English Class. The book was extremely interesting, but somewhat too technical at times, for a non-medical person. However, that time in 1963, is forever marked in my memory...those days of watching the funeral on tv, the shooting playing over and over, the shooting of Oswald, it consumed the nation, and rightly so,..... it still does. It's a behind the scenes of what we all saw on tv on 11/22/63.
This is an eye opener, if you want a quick read into the Kennedy autopsy this is a great book to start with. It definitely was a mess and raises many more questions. After reading this I want to read Best Evidence first, then dive into Horne’s massive 5 volume set that goes even further into what Lifton wrote. I will not go into a lot of detail or give my thoughts, etc. There are plenty of reviews to read here that do that already. I liked this book as a starter into the autopsy it makes you want to read more.
I don't think - having read his bio - that Hornberger and I will see eye-to-eye on many subjects, but his - and Horne's - clear thinking and explanation and their simple application of logic mean that this is definitely one of the superior works in the recent literature. Which, given some of the crap I've read lately, is a godsend. It's not without quibbles though - an unfortunate smugness seeps in during its latter stages.
Great insights on greatest Coverup in US history. And we wonder why no one trusts the US government and people feel the need to carry guns. Book fact based, very much based on real evidence. Puts to rest any belief that the Warren Report was an accurate, well researched report on JFKs murder.
Don't bother unless you are Trumpian, Faux new conspiracy nut who just can't let go. Thought it would be a deep dive into the actual autopsy. Yeah, NO. It's about the suspicious (only to aforementioned nuts) circumstances surrounding the hours directly following the shooting/murder of Kennedy.
This essay brought up more questions than it really answered for me. There were items that I had never heard before. But as in real life you have to ask yourself how and why!!!
Wow never heard that the Presidents body arrived an hour before his wife and brother took the casket to Bethesda Naval Hospital. The Brain too was a new one for me. I was very young when this happened but I can still remember how sad my parents were and watching it on TV. Let us never forget.
This book was well written it explained a lot of things but it won't make any difference. There was a big coverup and no one will ever pay for what happened. But at least the people who read the book will know.
The book was well written! But heartbreaking to read.I think that it is the truth I never thought Oswald did it!! I can't wait to read the second book.
