Tailan Song has four days to pull off the biggest accomplishment of her career or lose everything she's worked so hard to gain. Throwing all her energy into making a Midwest tour for twenty-one authors work when everyone expects failure is certain to keep her mind off of the turmoil in her personal life. That is, until her high school sweetheart, Delvin Germaine, now an Oscar-winning actor, lands on the bus at the last minute, and the heartthrob spells certain trouble for Tailan. Years before, the couple complicated their lives by bringing another woman into the relationship to bear Delvin's children. When threatened with losing the family he always wanted, Delvin felt he had no choice but to marry the surrogate and send Tailan packing, in spite of the fact that he loved Tailan like he loved no other woman. Now seven years later, Fate has given Delvin four days to right old wrongs, and he'll use everything in his power to win Tailan back. Unfortunately, Tailan is harboring a secret that she's kept not only from him, but from the world. His determination to have her will turn the tables and make him have to either share Tailan with another man or walk away from the strongest love he's ever known.

If you’ve followed Ms. Kai’ last few books her theme of two to one slightly changes in Was It Good For You Too, a change which I found to be very welcoming. Nope I won’t tell you what the two to one is read her last few books and you will figure it out.

It took me a minute to get my groove with this book, because of the tour piece. I didn’t understand where to place it in the story. Was it our opportunity to get to know the authors? Was it a filler? Either way once the tour was over the book flowed like a river for me. The tour didn’t make this book a deal breaker Kai is a very good storyteller. The raw emotions in the story definitely made this a winner.

I had to look up the word sacrifice after reading this book because I thought I knew the definition or better yet understood it when it comes to putting the word in action. But clearly after reading Was It Good For You Too, I’m rethinking how wide, long and high my love is.
The emotions readers will experience from Amir, Delvin and Tailon jumps off the pages, often times leaving me breathless. But Amir’s love reminds me of that old Stephanie Mills song “I Never Knew Love Like This Before” especially when she sings “you are my sunlight and my rain, and time could never change, what we share forever more” true love is passionate and filled with sacrifice its not so much about you but the pleasure of the other person.

I had a really good time reading this story it was powerful on many levels. The situations were unique in their own ways and absolutely an emotional rollercoaster

Naleighna Kai you have such a way

What???

I had no idea what I was getting into by buying this book. I thought it was classified as romance, but my bad, it is something else. It started okay the first few pages, the pace was brisk, interlaced with some humor. Then the s...t hit the fan shortly after. In the first instance it was not mentioned how the surrogate got pregnant, but my take was that the deed was actually done. Even though, Devlin, the hero said he is now divorcing the surrogate mother/wife, Tailan was still angry as she should. Then she was not angry, then she was not. I nearly got whiplash from her decisions.

Fast forward to after the book tour, the heroine drop a bombshell that she is married, but she was ending the marriage before she went on that book tour, because her in laws did not want him marrying a foreigner. The husband, Amir is from India. Also she wants to have sex with Devlin, but stay married to the husband, because their marriage allow for them to have sex with married people. Then as you might have guessed, she did not want to leave him, because she loves him, even though she is in love with Devlin. Yep, you read it right. Then Devlin showed up in her home, saw her marriage is polyamorous??? She also had his child way back, but kept it a secret, all in the span of a few minutes.

Anyways along the way, Amir wanted Tailan to have sex with Devlin while he watches and then he (the husband), will take his turn while Devlin watches. Same day, same time, same place. I kid you not. Just stay with me. They did the did for 8 hours! By this time I am calling myself all kind of names for continuing with this book. Erotic book is one thing, plain ridiculousness is another. This book left a bad taste in my mouth. Yuck...

The ending was epic. Continuation of 'comedy of errors'. There is a pregnancy which resulted from that pairing, threesome (whatchamacallit). By this time am ready to scrub my body clean of the mire and impurities crawling through my body and brain. Putrid.

What can I say? Naleighna Kai has written another great book. This book has a lot of excitement in it. I love the book author tour. I like how she named other well known authors in the book. It also shows what can happen when authors actually attend a book tour. Tailan and Delvin's story shows how each of them have grown over the years and the sacrifices they make for their children. If you want to know how the story unfolds. I just you pick up a copy you will not be disappointed.

I loved this story. I cried, I laughed and rooted for Delvin. Tailan has had a rough life after her mother was killed. Her Uncle and Aunt were less than receptive to her as a teen and tragedy seemed to follow her until she met Delvin at her school.
Their relationship grew from friendship to lovers over the years. However, Delvin made a major mistake and they have been apart for Seven years.
In Delvin's attempt to get Tailan back, he finds out she is married. After finding this out a surprise changes his position and he wants her even the more.
Fabulous read with twists and turns that keep you guessing.

You can't tell your heart who to love, but you can tell your mind not to listen!! That's what Tailan Song tried to do after her 1st love, Delvin Germaine, comes back into her life after 7 years. He has returned to claim her but she has a secret, she's married, with children. The very thing that ended their relationship, she has with someone else. Will Delvin accept it and move on or will he fight for the woman he loves?

This book was a definite page turner, I could hardly put it down. It was fast paced, full of surprises, twists & turns that you just didn't see coming.

This review is a little biased because I like some polyamorous romance books, but this type of particular love triangle isn’t my thing. It also got really dramatic and soap operatic at the end. Moreover, the ending was abrupt! The narrative theme was spastic to me.

Beautifully Written

I enjoyed every aspect of the book, which was a page turner. Usually, I can predict what happens with the characters. This time, I couldn't which kept me glued to the book. The book will not disappoint!

I finished reading Was it Good for you too by Naleighna Kai and I tell you that it is really a must read. There is love, forgiveness, brokenness, hate, but most of all the Love of God. Ms. Kai tells the story of Tailan Song and her journey to true and unconditional love. As she did with Door Marriage the author has so many twist and turns that you will not want to put this book down until you finish. I laughed and cried and I really enjoyed reading this story that is so different from so many others that I have read. There were there was one scene that I had some reservations about, but I survived it and it was well worth it. If you haven't read this book I hope you will give a try you will truly be blessed.

Open Marriages

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Once I started reading it I could not put it down. Delvin, Amir, and Tai were in a pretty precarious situation. I loved when Tai flipped the script on them, I literally applauded. I loved how she went from an abused girl to an empowered woman. Very well written, kudos Naleighna Kai.
