Who gets married out of convenience? Apparently, I do.
My best friend was only supposed to be my fake date to a work event in Vegas. But when my ex showed up with another woman on his arm, my friend suggested the ultimate pretending we were engaged.
When I accidentally mention my medical insurance issues due to a car accident, he proposes taking our charade to the next level—a temporary marriage until I'm better.
I nearly spit out my drink.
Yeah, right. Like that won't completely ruin our friendship.
But we can't go back now. Our charade worked so well that everyone bought it—even my ex, who leaked our Vegas wedding all over the internet.
Now we have to go through with this farce… at least until I'm better and the media storm dies down for my hockey star husband.
If that wasn't complicated enough, my sister is married to his brother, which means this fake marriage just took things from 'mildly complicated' to 'full-blown family soap opera.'
We'll have to sell this to our friends and family by fake kissing and sharing a bedroom, all while sticking to our friend zone rules behind closed doors.
But there's just one tiny secret he doesn't
I've been in love with my best friend since I met him.
When he pulls me close and says, "My wife," I know I won't ever forget that.
I might have married my best friend out of convenience, but love is anything but convenient.
Perfectly Wedded is a closed-door hockey romcom with a holiday epilogue that includes tropes like marriage of convenience, forced proximity, and friends to lovers. This is the first book in a clean, closed-door hockey spin-off series with just kisses but all the emotional payoff.

I really enjoyed this friends to more, marriage of convenience story. The secret crushes that Vale and Sloan have on each other was cute. This is a fast paced read that I couldn’t put it down. Vale is like the perfect fake husband who doesn’t want to be fake, plans these romantic dates that are so sweet and more Sloan’s style, and how he knew what she needed. I really loved how Vale and Sloan were really good for each other. The found family that is in the shared house is so funny and enjoyable.
This is book one in the Perfect Crush Hockey Romance series, but also part of an interconnected series that gives you a glimpse of Vale and Sloan. I can’t wait to start reading the rest of the series and the series it is connected to see how they are came to share a house. This is a clean closed door romcom.
Listened to audio. Narrated by Stefanie Kay and Liam Lambert. The dual narration was great. I really enjoyed the voices and brought the story more to life.
I was completely hooked right from the opening scene of this romance! I love how this was a friends to lovers story combined with a marriage of connivence. It resulted in the most genuine “my wife” moments, compassion, and care for each other. The combination of Vale’s very swoony reassuring comments and Sloan’s POV made it obvious that the marriage was never fake! The sweet and tender moments were abundant and I LOVED that! Probably tied for my number 1 marriage of convenience favorites!

Thank you to the author @GraceWorthingtonAuthor for the #gifted audiobook.
This hockey romcom totally scored with me! Perfectly Wedded kicks off The Perfect Crush Hockey Series with all the fun tropes: marriage of convenience, fake dating, friends to lovers, and plenty of fake honeymoon shenanigans—all set against a backdrop of teammates, tension, and unexpected real feelings.
Vale and Sloan’s chemistry is believable and sweet, and the dual POV lets you get fully wrapped up in their dynamic. While the plot isn’t reinventing the romcom wheel, it’s executed so well—fun, swoony, and full of heart. The narration by Stefanie Kay and Liam Lambert? Absolute perfection. Their voices brought Vale and Sloan to life and made the audiobook such an enjoyable experience. I’d happily listen to another book with them again!
Stefanie Kay and Liam Lambert have truly taken this book to a whole new level! 🤗 I was instantly drawn in! I was hooked and couldn't stop listening until the last sentence! Vale and Sloan are an adorable, swoon-worthy couple you can't help but fall in love with! Their chemistry is off the charts, and the love, devotion, and care they share are simply enchanting. I enjoyed every single moment of this incredible read! I encourage you to read every one of the books in the series.
