Filthy and Fierce is Book 1 of the Stone Cold Cowboys series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, mutual-pining, curvy girl gets her cowboy romance. Faith is a sassy, curvy girl in her early 20s who has returned to her family ranch after college. Dixon is a 35-year-old hunky rodeo rider with a dirty mouth and a playboy reputation. He is also the ranch manager for her father. Her dad is his great friend and mentor. She has had a crush on him since she was 18. When he sees her all grown up, he can't take his eyes off her. He wants her too but is trying to resist due to her age and her dad. But she pushes and he can only resist for so long. They say one night, but both have real feelings. What will her dad say? The chemistry between these two was pure fire and the ending was so happy after a little bit of drama. I loved it and can't wait for Dustin's story next!.

Faith has loved Dixon for what seems like forever. She has come back home to prove to her dad she is meant to stay and to wrangle herself a stubborn hot possessive cowboy named Dixon. Fun, push/pull age gap/forbidden romance with just a bit of drama. Hope’s stories always give me the perfect combo of steam, humor, heart and a HEA. Can’t wait for the next book!

A Must Read 🔥🔥
This is a must read for anyone looking for an awesome book. Dixon will have you swooning over him. He definitely made this book. He was in love with Faith the way a real man should be. I would highly recommend this book. Just wish I could give it more than five stars

I normally enjoy this author’s books but this was a miss for me.
I didn’t like Dixon’s character and the manwhore/virgin trope is not one of my favorites.
I’m glad I read the second book (Big & Bold) in the series first, if I had read this first I may not have read the second book and would have miss out on a good story.

Why do I run out of pages so fast when I read books created by Hope Ford? She transports me to Whiskey Run, and I don't want to leave.
Faith's dad just doesn't understand that she loves the ranch and she is back permanently.

Whoa, 100% filthy, fierce and forbidden straight up, from our hero’s thoughts to your eyes, and they kept coming!!!
Yep, if you like filthy and fierce older cowboys who are all sorts of protective and possessive of their woman, AND you're into a little age-gap, then FILTHY AND FIERCE COWBOY from Author Hope Ford is going to be right up your alley!!!
Dixon Chase knew he had no business looking at his mentor's daughter with the decidedly dirty thoughts that were running through his head. She'd left the ranch five years before at 18 to gain a degree, and had come back as an adult looking like “sin in cowgirl boots.”
Faith had crushed on Dixon even before she'd left and had followed him as he'd worked around the property. She’d gotten her degree as promised to her dad, and even though he still seemed determined she live life and flourish away from the ranch, I loved that she was resolute in her arrival home, ‘indefinitely'. She had plans that not only involved working alongside her dad, but she had a sexy cowboy to conquer;
“I’m done doing things his way. My father may not want me around, but he sure has taught me a lot through the years, and one of those things is that if I want something, I have to go after it. Well, I want Dixon”
I had to laugh at Dixon struggling to maintain a charade of moral correctness, and while he'd been kicking his own back-side for all of the filthy thoughts he'd conjured up in his mind, he was astonished to find that he in turn had been the object of her affection;
“Silently, we move to the next stall, and without thinking, I pull off my T-shirt and hang it on a nail. As soon as I look at her, I realize my mistake. ..... She points at me, waving her finger up and down. “That. That’s not fair.” I look down at my bare chest. There’s no way this turns her on. I’m a barrel of a man. There’s no six-pack here. Husky, stocky, beefy, sturdy. ..... Faith is looking at me like no one has ever looked at me before.”
I love age-gap romances, especially when the hero fights against his own alpha-protective-possessive character and that is why a dual POV is my favourite. Being in Dixon's head as he tried to protect Faith from himself, while I visualised her stealthily stalking him like prey was endlessly entertaining and had me reading FILTHY AND FIERCE in one sitting. Easy to do when it's a quick read and Ms Ford's writing style is efficient and descriptive. I loved every moment in this book.
FILTHY AND FIERCE is only the first book so there's more of the filthy c(o)ming from these Stone Cold Cowboys. But if you're an addicted virtual buckle bunny, then I'm recommending you check out one of Dixon's acquaintances Tucker Yates who is a bull riding competitor in the same circuit. He’s a sexy single dad and we met him in Chapter 11. So if you're in, his book is BIG OBSESSION in the multi-author Single Dads in Big Wood series. Yep, let your mind go there and think up every filthy innuendo and run with it because it's allllllll true 😛😁

I loved this book about coming back home, fighting for what you want, family, love, and more. The story finds Faith Allen returning to the family ranch after graduating college with what her father believes is a degree in accounting but is really an agribusiness degree. She was raised on the ranch and wants to learn how to run it, that is if she can convince her father that is what she really wants. But she also really, and I do mean really, wants one Dixon Chase. Dixon is the ranch manager, best friend to her father who is also a mentor and like a father to him, and a champion bulldogger on the rodeo circuit. But at thirty-five years old he feels he has spent the last fifteen years rodeoing and messing around, when he should have a home with a wife and kids. In walks Faith and his world is about to get flipped upside down. He has fought his attraction and his thoughts of her for years now. When she went away to school five years ago he was able to settle in and sort of forget about her, as she never came back for vacations or holidays. But when she walks into the Whiskey Whistler something takes over his brain and all he can think is mine, protect, get her out of her. This is book one of a new series called Stone Cold Cowboys and features Dixon Chase, the hottest calf roping cowboy on the circuit. When Faith, his mentor’s daughter, graduated college and returned to the ranch, he suddenly found it impossible to resist her—not that she wanted him to by any means. She had had a crush on him for years and hoped that he might finally realize she’d grown up and boy, did he!! Reluctantly maybe, but he did.
I’m a regular subscriber to Ms. Ford’s newsletter and, in her *new release* email, she said something to the effect that for maximum reading enjoyment one should light a masculine smelling candle so you could imagine Dixon all around you (she said lots of other fun stuff too but I’ll skip that part for now) but, I’m fresh out and, turns out, it wasn’t necessary in the slightest. There’s no. Way. You can read Dixon Chase’s book and NOT dream about belonging to him, sleeping in his bed and being taken care of by him! Or maybe I’m just projecting, who knows, I just know I wouldn’t even TRY to resist him!
It’s a no brainer for me to recommend this book, and I do, wholeheartedly; it was just THAT insanely good! I’m a regular subscriber to Ms. Ford’s newsletter and, in her *new release* email, she said something to the effect that for maximum reading enjoyment one should light a masculine smelling candle so you could imagine Dixon all around you (she said lots of other fun stuff too but I’ll skip that part for now) but, I’m fresh out and, turns out, it wasn’t necessary in the slightest. There’s no. Way. You can read Dixon Chase’s book and NOT dream about belonging to him, sleeping in his bed and being taken care of by him! Or maybe I’m just projecting, who knows, I just know I wouldn’t even TRY to resist him!
It’s a no brainer for me to recommend this book, and I do, wholeheartedly; it was just THAT insanely good! Finally Accepting the Inevitable -
Dixon was tired of the lifestyle he had been living, so he was knocked off balance when Faith returned home from college and his attraction for her returned. Faith had been lusting after Dixon for years, so her plan was to do everything possible to get a chance with him. Dixon’s tried everything possible to keep his hands off Faith, but he failed miserably, as she continuously taunts him, so he finally realised he could no longer maintain a platonic relationship with her.
Even though Faith expected their encounter to be a one time event, Dixon wasn’t prepared to let her go, which led to them getting caught in the middle of a steamy session by her father. Whilst the timing was perfect, Dixon took the opportunity to finally declare his feelings for Faith, as well as making his intensions towards her, clear to her father, so they could have a chance at having a happy future together.
I am so happy I had the opportunity to read this fantastic story, that had me eagerly turning the pages from the beginning until the end. You will absolutely love reading this book just as much as I did and be happy to recommend it.

Dixon is a cowboy and is on the rodeo circuit and works for Faith Allen’s father as the manager of the ranch. He is a lot older than she is, and when she comes home for good after schooling, she decides that she wants him. He wants her as well, but a good portion of the book is him trying to be honorable and a good friend to her father and fighting his feelings. So when she shows up at the bar he is in, upon her return, he decides to protect her from the other cowboys and bring her home. Her father, Charlie Allen is a legend on the rodeo circuit and taught Dixon a lot. Charlie keeps sending Faith off for the darndest of reasons. But, she loves the ranch and majored in something that will help. So, she puts her foot down with her father & Dixon. The book is fun, funny, steamy, romantic, aggravating and a bunch of other adjectives. I loved learning about the ranch and being a cowboy on the rodeo circuit. Plus, everything that happened between Dixon and Faith. There were a couple really sweet scenes. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

An excellent story and beginning to a new series by Hope Ford. Filthy and Fierce is a small-town, western, age-gap, best friend’s short read that is big on entertainment. This cowboy romance is engaging from page one as we get to know Faith and Dixon. Faith’s attraction to Dixon had grown and developed from being a teenager. Their attraction however becomes more after she comes back from college and earning her degree. Their emotional connection builds quickly for one another as they journey to find their way to be together. However, they face the challenge of trying to respect her dad (Dixon’s friend and boss) and their feelings as their relationship progresses. Their steamy, heart-felt relationship is challenged with each of them remaining true to themselves, growing personally, and staying true to their friendship and family. Filthy and Fierce makes a great start the series, Stone Cold Cowboys.

Hot cowboy alert!! Oh my goodness, Dixon is magnificent! I love how Hope Ford does not just write characters with depth, she writes characters who are real. Dixon is not your perfect 8-pack man, with rippling muscles. Dixon isn’t that man! Yes he is possessive, protective and a gentleman, and oh yes, a cowboy. He wants Faith, but she happens to be the daughter of his mentor, a man he respects so much that he is willing to give up a life with Faith. That is until he gets a taste of Faith, one night, just one night to satisfy them. Faith wants Dixon just as bad, one night, one night of passion. Famous last words, one night led to two and then led to her father learning about their relationship. There is nothing like waking up to a double-barrel pew-pew staring you in the face held by the man you hold in such high esteem, with his daughter wrapped around you, naked in bed!!! I loved this Filthy and Fierce, and Dixon, well Dixon’s bedroom talk is puddle making!!!

First book in a new series and it was a great start! Dixon and Faith were like fireworks together, their chemistry was hot and bright right from the start. There were a lot of emotions in this one, and I felt so bad for Faith more than once. Dixon was hot and cold with her due to his loyalty to his mentor, her father. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the fact he probably would have continued to push her away if it didn’t go the way it had, but it made for a good story! Dixon was a womanizer, which was a bit off putting, but he immediately shut that down as soon as he saw her again. No cheating or OM drama but there was so OW drama, virgin FMC, birth control, forbidden romance, sneaking around, dual POV, HEA and a cute epilogue 4 years in the future. Looking forward to this series and who comes next!

This was a fun and steamy series opener and I loved seeing Faith finally get her HEA with Dixon. Her father is his mentor and he is older than her....but she's been hot for him for years. Now that she's back on her father's ranch, permanently, she sets out to let Dixon know he's it for her. Dixon was a bit of a womanizer but he stopped that with seeing Faith back again. He also kept her at arm's length, as long as he could, out of respect for her father. I hate to say it this way, but thankfully, her father caught them in the 'act' and that let Dixon finally get over his angst and declare his feelings for her. Definitely engaging with that secret lover vibe that leads to a fab HEA. Good fun!

Faith and Dixon, I loved them both and their journey to a HEA She has been attracted to him for years and continues to be for the years she is away, studying. He works on her dad’s ranch. She returns and even with a few misunderstandings they connect in every way possible. These two are on fire,, the love shines through even when her dad objects to them coupling up. Emotions are high, I cried happy tears in chapter 14
Steamy, emotional and basically a wonderful read. The epilogue….swoon.
