I love a second chance romance and this book hit the spot perfectly.

Stacy Saunders is a career girl through and through and she won’t let nothing get in her way of reaching her goals. A recent promotion has her travelling to a marketing convention in New Orleans. This takes her back to her younger self when she was struggling to earn a living whilst working towards that dream job. Here she is, years later having reached that dream, looking back with fondness of her time in New Orleans and her last night there with Ten.

Tennyson Landry never left New Orleans after Stacy left. He worked in bars but then turned to his own dream of painting and now finally he has his own studio which is doing great but has he missed out on love? Never having forgotten about Stacy and that passionate night the shared. Imagine his surprise to see her again and still feel that pull towards her.

They both agree to spend time catching up which in turn leads to some serious hot kisses, nights out and no longer able to fight against the one thing they had on that night….

I loved Ten from the start and it was great to have the insight to his POV and what he was feeling. He was a sensual soul you could not stop from falling for. As for Stacy, although I did like her and her strength she did frustrate me at times with her blinkered focus on her career goals. If I had a hot gorgeous man professing his all for me I’d be packing up pronto to move to New Orleans!
This was a great flirty, passionate and thought provoking read with believable connection and chemistry between the two main characters. I loved it and enjoyed it so much I went on to download the first book in the series, One Kiss, to read all about Kat and Dean. Five stars.

Since I loved One Kiss and read it in one setting because I couldn't put it down, I was excited to read Her Perfect Lips. Once again, when I started reading, I didn't want to stop. I enjoy stories where a character runs into someone from his or her past and things heat up the second time around. So when Stacy ran into Ten in New Orleans, I loved watching their relationship unfold and reading about their past. They'd grown up, yet this time their attraction was too difficult to ignore.
It was a perfect read on a Sunday afternoon for cuddling up on the couch. Hope there are more stories like One Kiss and Her Perfect Lips to come.

Her Perfect Lips is a second-chance romance novella – the story of Stacy and Tennyson who meet again whilst Stacy is in New Orleans for a work conference. There’s a little bit of romantic history between them and it’s obvious from the moment they reconnect that there’s still something there. But can they both settle for a few romantic days together knowing in just a short while they’ll be a thousand miles apart? I’ll admit that before reading I thought the title was a little cheesy and cringeworthy but it actually made perfect sense when reading it - it was fitting - so maybe I shouldn’t have judged it so much! I was also a bit unsure at the beginning on Stacy’s character – she seemed to be a massive over-thinker and over-planner – but the moment we meet Ten this book picked up and I adored the rest of the story.

I thought Her Perfect Lips worked well as a novella but I loved hearing bits about Stacy and Ten’s history and so I would have enjoyed reading more from them. I loved how Ten especially could so easily recall his memories of Stacy and the way he talked about them kind of hinted that maybe there was more than just chemistry behind their second chance romance. The pace to this book was very quick, and it had to be given the size, but I thought that the bits we learn from when Stacy and Ten knew each other before gave this book some depth and made the progression between them a little easier to believe. Their backstory helped make their connection feel more genuine and plausible and I was interested to see how things might turn out, given they were both settled and successful with a long distance between them.

Her Perfect Lips was a fun romance story and very easy to like. I connected with both Stacy and Ten and enjoyed reading how things played out between them during Stacy’s short time in New Orleans. They were both so different, with Stacy liking to plan things out and work hard at a job she’s very successful at whereas Ten is more relaxed and one to live in the moment. The communication between them and interest they both showed in each other’s individual lives was warming to read and I liked that though they might both suggest ways for the other one to change their lifestyle a little bit, they never forced anything and seemed to appreciate each other for who they are. Which was cute, and I love reading a cute little romance… You can kind of see where this book is going to end up early on but it’s not really a complaint – I would have most likely been complaining if it had turned out any other way. It’s an ideal book for a couple of hours’ easy reading - light-hearted, romantic and difficult not to smile at.

Stacy is quickly moving up the ranks in the NYC marketing world. All her hard work is paying off and she's living a life of success with a new promotion at her job and scoring a coveted invitation to a marketing conference that is a networker's dream. She's excited to visit her old stomping grounds - New Orleans. On her first night back, she meets up with Tennyson, an old friend with a past.

Ten has been living in his own success as an artist and gallery owner. Even though she doesn't know, Ten has been in love with Stacy even while she's been absent for years. He commits his feelings on the canvas, trying to recreate the moment when she never looked more beautiful to him.

Even though their love for each other hasn't dimmed, they both live two very different lives in two very different cities. Can they make this work?

This is a pleasant little novella that's good for a Saturday read.

The story stumbles along at first, especially in the first chapter. There are large amounts of time that was skipped over and it makes the flow a bit jerky, but after the story is introduced, it seems to pace well.

I wish we had more developed characters, we don't know much about their lives, except for their careers and their history with each other. Nothing about family, backgrounds, etc.

Overall, it's a cute little love story.

Her Perfect Lips is an erotic romance novella by Lisa Fox. I've read and enjoyed Lisa's work before, and this hot little number is no exception. In fact, I think it's my favourite of Lisa's books so far.

It tells the tale of Stacy Saunders, a young woman who lives and works in New York, in her dream career - marketing. She's just been given a promotion, to her delight, and along with the promotion she's being sent to a marketing conference down in New Orleans. Stacy's excited, both for the conference and to see New Orleans again - she lived there as a student and loved the city. But her strict conference itinerary won't leave much time for sightseeing.

That is, until she runs into Tennyson Landry - an old flame from her time in the city. They parted on good terms and are happy to see each other again. It's soon apparent, though, that the sparks are still there between them, sparks that it won't take much to fan into full-blown flames. But will they be content with a fling the second time around? Or are their feelings stronger than the hundred of miles between her real life and his?

This was a very enjoyable read. The settings are great, the characters likeable and realistic, and the heat between them is off the charts! I also found the emotional scenes to be very real and poignant, and found myself rooting for these characters from the beginning. Definitely a book I'd recommend to erotic romance fans.

After enjoying One Kiss I thought I'd give this a go when it came up on NetGalley. However, whilst it was enjoyable I don't think it was as good as One Kiss.

This novella definitely gets better as it progresses, and you have to stick with it. The story takes a while to get going due to a slow start, but by the end things pick up as the relationship develops. I'm a big fan of second chance romances, and I felt the connection between Ten and Stacy was good and well developed. There were small details about their history that gave an insight into their relationship, and thought the back story was created well.

I definitely liked Ten better than Stacy. I didn't feel much towards her if I'm honest because she was such a workaholic. I also felt there were a few too many inner thoughts and not enough action in her POV sections. She just felt a little cold to me, whereas Ten was this laid back artist who had an easy-going attitude. He was also more open to the idea of a relationship whereas Stacey just looked at the negative points.

Overall though, despite liking One Kiss better, this was still a good read. I'd say it's more of a grower and one you have to stick with, but it does get better with the more pages you turn.

Drive is a good thing. Determination to achieve a goal helps a person realize and achieve their dreams. But leaving behind relationships in favor of achievement... I don't believe achievements mean diddly-squat if the journey from beginning to end isn't shared with someone. What joy is there in celebrating alone? The love and support of a partner and/or friend makes the journey to the top less weary, and the end result is more incredible because you can revel in that satisfied feeling knowing you had someone behind you the entire time.

While I admired Stacy's goal, I didn't like how her hesitation in finding some kind of middle ground with Tennyson (Ten) regarding their relationship. His business kept him in New Orleans, but hers could take her anywhere. Why not there?

I liked Ten and Stacy's story but wished she was a little less rigid. For all that Ten revealed on their last night together, I thought she would have at least been willing to take that risk and meet him halfway. In a way, I guess she did but it didn't really feel like it. Still, their story is cute and sweet and achieves a happy ending that works for them.

3.5*

A bit of a slow grower, Ten is wonderful in this story as he works to overcome Stacy’s rather rigid view of the world. Stacy is a workaholic, rigid in her ‘self-scheduling’ she doesn’t allow herself the option to relax or let down, and forget a man. Although she is in New Orleans where there are opportunities to at least sightsee and enjoy herself.

Strangely enough, she runs into Tennyson, a friend of long standing that, if she is desperately honest, she’s always had a bit of a torch for. But his artsy persona and approach to life just serve to highlight the distances between them for her.
There is a bit of jumping around and time skips that take some acclimation, but the solidity of the characters and their connection is clear and present by the end of this story. While I liked One Kiss marginally better, Lisa Fox brings lighthearted fun with characters that feel honest, and have palpable connections. A great choice for a pick-me-up read when the hustle and bustle of the holidays leaves you with the need for escape.

I am sorry, DNF at 50%

This story just didn't do it for me. I knew what was going to happen before it did and it was just do sappy... UGHHHH!!!!

Stacy got a promotion and was going to new Orleans for a convention and help her meet new people and grab new information. She was excited to go out and have some fun, that was until she meet her ex. Well, I would say ex. Stacy used to live in New Orleans and had the biggest crush on a co-worker. Well, the last week before she was moving to new york, she finally slept with him and she thought she feel in love with him. Well, it must have been met to be because they ran into each other again and decided to give it another go....

Quick easy read. Ten and Stacey had meet up after years apart. after one night of passion she moves to New York to follow her dreams. Ten stayed in New Orleans. She accomplished her goals professionally and was on the rise. She didn't know something was missing until she met Ten again. The story was not long enough for me to really connect with the characters. I understood Stacey's need tbstay focus and follow her dreams. I am glad that she realized there is more. While Stacey was very driven, Ten seemed a little laid back. But eventually her realized he needed more. They get their HEA with very little stress.

I loved the chemistry between Ten and Stacy. Their reunion is full of tumultuous emotions and decisions that change both of their lives. The story moves quickly and there’s just enough backstory to reinforce their coming together again and the author kept me immensely engaged, hoping they can work out their obstacles and find their HEA.
A great romance to curl up with during a quiet afternoon, maybe with a cup of hot chocolate and in front of the fire. I dare readers not to fall for Ten. He’s an unforgettable hero.
