Her actions have consequences and now she’s trying to fix the unfixable. Can the men in Kate’s life grant her the forgiveness she can’t even find within herself?

I may be the only person alive who has read this book... Eeeep! Be jealous! I know it's not going to last long. You guys have waited to see what happens between Daniel, Kate and Mike... And boy is the storm brewing!
Stay tuned for a more in depth review :)

IN DEPTH REVIEW:

Ok so now that I've sat on this book for a few days, maybe I can throw together some full sentences on what I think.

One of my favorite things about reviewing is being able to be funny (you know like a smarta$$ ;) ), to have a few laughs and to get my honest point across lightheartedly. However, every now and then a book comes along that just shatters my heart into pieces. And when that happens, I can't just laugh my way through a review.

*DISCLAIMER* I feel like it's important to tell you that no one dies. I think when I read reviews that say emotional, I automatically think that I am going to be crying my head off because this twisted person AKA the author made me love some one and then drives them right off a cliff. So, no one dies.

But let me tell you. Your heart is not going to know the difference! It's been a few days and I just have no idea what I want to happen. I know what I wanted to happen. I was #TeamDaniel 100 percent. And then I read Catching Kate and the boys were on a level playing field. But then along comes Releasing Kate and I have no idea what I want anymore.

I seriously haven't felt this much for a book since the last book I read where someone died :'(

But the hurt is so good! This book is amazing and Dee is really shining with her work her. You're going to love the feels! It's like a good shot of whiskey. It burns like hell, but it's a good effing burn.

And RESOLUTION! Not completely resolved, we still have another book to go. But enough resolution that I feel really good about how things are going to go. I just don't know if I want them to go that way. *sigh* Ok, OK! Did you get anything from my blabbing?? GO READ THIS SERIES! :P

"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."

This is the third book in the series, and you definitely should read the previous two first - the story is complicated enough as it is, without lacking background!

Once again Ms Kelly grabs the reader's attention, draws them in, and then pulls at the heart strings. The writing is good, the multiple POVs keep the story moving forward and sometimes give one a chance to take a breath. Do I agree with some of the decisions made? Do I wonder what makes someone make those choices? Oh yes, but that is the pleasure of reading a story - not mine to tell, yet I realise that I am drawn in enough that I am doing exactly that!

Need the next one, and need it soon - please write well, but fast!

OMG I have never been on such an emotional roller coaster
and cried so much over a book!

Dee Kelly has done it again. She has a way of keeping
you on the edge of your seat. She makes you fall in love
with the characters. I have been team Daniel since the
first book. I don't give out spoilers so I will say this.
This is such a love triangle. Dee Kelly has you guessing
until the very end. I started this book this morning and
couldn't put it down until I finished it!

Here I am, a few days after reading this. I usually write my reviews the same day or the day after I finish, but I needed some extra time. I got very emotional about this book and I needed time to cool down and make sure I wasn’t angry enough to include spoilers.
If you haven’t read the first book (Breaking Kate) I’d advise you to read that review before you read this.
In Breaking Kate, we get to follow the journey of Kate, who is still trying to get over the loss of her first real relationship. She had dated Michael, or Mike, for years. They had known each other since they were seven. One night, an accident occurred that Mike blamed Kate for, and he left her and never spoke to her again.
Kate continues on to college, and after much pressuring from her roommate and best friend, she goes to a party and meets this guy, Daniel. Daniel and Kate have an instant connection and quickly jump into a relationship. They’re perfect together.
Then, at the end of Breaking Kate, Mike comes back. Little did anyone know, that they were all mutual friends with each other. As you would think, this complicates things.
Kate is put in a tough spot and is forced to choose. Does she choose Mike, who she shares much more than a history with, or Daniel, the man she wants to build a history with?
This book… Oh, this book. I was filled with suspense and anxiety the whole time I read it. I won’t tell you what team I’m on, because I don’t want to spoil anything. But one minute I’m happy and the next minute I’m cursing at the book. Kate made some poor decisions, one really bad one, and that might have just screwed everything up. She might have lost them both…
So, we finally find out who she chooses… and then we find out something that could change all of that… well, there’s two things that could change it. When I find out who she chose, I was all over the place. But then there’s that little, well, big piece of information and I was pissed.
Okay, let me back up. I found out who she chose. And I had tears running down my face. I was so upset. Then I find out that new bit of information, and I was pissed. So angry. I slammed my kindle closed and threw it on the bed, immediately messaging Dee and telling her how mad I was. She convinced me with a winky face to keep going, and I did, and while I’m not happy with the ending, I did get some comfort in the fact, but I can’t wait for the next book!
I think she did an amazing job keeping the secret of who she was going to choose throughout the whole book. I know that is really hard to do, and I was never sure of who she’d pick, and that’s something that really kept me reading.
Five stars for Releasing Kate. Now, Dee, go write and finish book 3!!!

Releasing Kate is the next installment in the Acceptance Series. You will need to read Breaking Kate first and if you want to hear Mike's POV read Catching Kate. After the sudden appearance of Mike at Jake & April's engagement party, Kate & Daniel's HEA is rocked to the core. Releasing Kate takes you on an emotional journey that will make your feel so many different emotions. You will cry, you will get angry, and you will want to shake Kate and say snap out of it :) D. Kelly writes a story that shows you how life events can make a person go out of their norm and do things they normally would never do. No matter if you are #TeamDaniel or #TeamMike you will cry and feel for both men. But this reader is sill and always will be #TeamDaniel :)

Kate and Mike have history together. If not for the tragic death of Mike's dad and events that spiraled out of control along with a message that was never delivered, they would have had their own HEA. Kate has survived the loss of her mother, Mike and her baby girl. When she meets Daniel and allows herself to fall in love again, it is totally fast, hot, heavy and explosive. They too are on their way to what they think will be their HEA. When Kate finds out that Mike & Daniel are best friends she makes the decision that she will not be the person to tear their close friendship apart. She decides that the three of them can only be friends. Kate also has to tell Mike about the baby girl he never knew he had.

After making the decision to just be friends with Mike & Daniel, Kate starts to spiral out of control and after a lifetime of being the good girl she decides to explore her wild side. One fateful night Kate makes a huge mistake. One she can't ever get back. One that she will have to pay the consequence for. One man will forgive her for her mistake the other will not.

Also Vanessa is pregnant. Who will be the baby's daddy, Mike or Daniel????? Oh the drama in this book is major!!!!!

In the end who will Kate choose. Her first love Mike or her true love Daniel. And will the one that she chooses be the one that can forgive her for her one night of carelessness.

Dee Kelly you have done it again!! After I finished book one I was dying to know what would happen with Kate. What in the world was she gonna do and who was she going to choose??? Who was the father of Vanessa's baby? Gahhhh just soooo many questions that I needed answers to asap and then when I finally get my hands on this book I couldn't wait to find out the answers.......OMG I have literally cried my freaking eyes out!!! I am def #TeamDaniel allll the way but after reading this it will help you see another side of Michael that will have you questioning yourself (although I am and always will be #TeamDaniel!!) By the end you will finally figure out who the dad is....now the question is, what is going to happen for Mike, Kate and Daniel?? Will the paternity determine who she decides to be with?? Dee.....PLEASE don't make me wait to long for book 3 bc of course you have left me dying over here wondering what Kate is going to do!! All I am left saying is HOLLLLYYYY FREAKING CLIFFHANGER!!!!!!!! Trust me when I say, if you have NOT read this series yet, you are truly missing out!! Don't let the cliffhanger hold you back, Dee will not be holding us off for long, this is a series you MUST read asap!!!

Dee Kelly Delivers yet again!

I cannot express how obsessed I am with the Acceptance series by D. Kelly. There are so many emotions I have while reading her books. First off I have to show my support for #TeamMike, because frankly I really love him with Kate more so than Daniel. I think Dee did an outstanding job with the latest book in her series. Without giving away any spoilers, I am glad Kate went down the path she did. I think there were way too many loose ends in the last book, and things that needed to happen for character did. I believe that Kate is to naïve in sex and love to fully give either guy the chance they need to win her heart.

I cannot wait to read the final installment to figure out who will be with Kate. Though the ending does kind of lead up to that, I really hope that the last book in the series surprises me!

Thanks Dee for letting me read your books!

This is book two of the Acceptance Series.
My review of this book is gonna be short as I don't wanna drop any spoilers. After reading book one I was so looking forward to reading this one. The author definitely didn't disappoint me. Actually this book blew me apart. It's an emotional read that will have you in tears one minute and smiling the next minute. I felt as if my heart was thumping all the way through this.

You really need to 1-click Kate, Mike and Daniels story. This is a fantastic emotional story. Be warned it ends in a 'throw your kindle' ending. Although I hate endings like this I'm so happy I read this book.

Releasing Kate- D Kelly- I've been waiting for months for this book to come out after reading Breaking Kate and Catching Kate which I loved, I went into the book #teamdaniel and boy this was an emotional roller coaster ride. I cried at the end knowing Kate's choice between Mike and Daniel and the fact that we have to wait for the next installment. Kate is such a strong female character she really loves everyone and tries to take care of everyone. Keep writing D Kelly we need the next book very soon.

Break out the tissues and GO Team Kate!

I received this title courtesy of Sweet and Sassy Book-Aholics for an honest review

Once again Dee Kelly takes us on another fabulous emotional rollercoaster in the next instalment of the Acceptance Series, Releasing Kate.

The love of each of these men for Kate is undeniable and the angst of her having to make a choice between them had me screaming at her to choose them both! Does she go with Michael and the past they never had together or does she go for Daniel and a new future? Marc is the dark horse in the whole equation and I have to wonder if breaking ties with Mike and Daniel completely isn't the better choice and having someone completely removed from their circle.

On the flip side is the feeling and emotions of two men, both in love with the same woman, Both friends, brothers and workmates as well as both expecting a baby with another woman and both fighting for their lives to hold onto her and maintain their friendship!

From start to finish this book takes you though the entire spectrum of emotions and you have to wonder, "how much can one person stand", How much must a relationship suffer", "How strong are the ties of the past" and "How much can a friendship endure". There is nothing that doesn't belong in this book. We get answers to so many of the questions left from Catching Kate but just as many are left remaining as we wonder how they can all move on now that the choice has been made.

My guess is there is still a lot of work ahead of them all! I love this series, I love these characters and I love this author. Dee Kelly - your a legend.

~~~Doris's ★★★★★ Review~~~
Holey cannoli, people! If I thought the last book, Catching Kate was a cliffhanger, than this one is the Grand Canyon of all cliffhangers! Okay so, Kate is in love with both Daniel and Michael. She doesn't want to hurt either of them. She is so used to putting others before her and she is still doing it. Who will she choose. I think I know, you will too when you read this series Anyway, so both Michael and Daniel love Kate and want to prove their love for her, but at the same time they're best friends! What a conundrum!! But, get this they are able to put the feelings each has for Kate aside and still be friends. What is absolute chocolate fudge cookies is that this story doesn't turn into a huge competition, like my dogs bigger than your dog thing. No, they actually keep it tasteful. No kidding. Another thing this author, D. Kelly, has you blubbering in your hot tea. I tell you this story is so emotional and is written with such deep feeling, that I found myself being a blubbering basket case. I'm glad I'm not Kate because she had two fabulous men who would do anything for her and are honest and sincere in their feelings . I just hope she doesn't do anything to mess things up, where these two lovely gentlemen are ready to walk away from her.... Ohhh, wait, she does! I am not telling you anything else. All I know is that I am absolutely dying to read the next book. 5 stars because the crescendo is absolutely riveting!! I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. READ IT !!!
~~~~Sara's ★★★★★ Review~~~~

WTH D. Kelly this cliffhanger has me gasping and needing more. I had a box of tissues by my side while reading this. I honestly wouldn't not want to be in Kate's shoes. Two hot men wanting and loving her. And to make a mistake like she Did OMG. I need the next book NOW!!!!! D. Kelly has you sitting here watching for the moment the next book goes Live. This is must read. Make sure to read Breaking Kate and Catching Kate first, but then pick this book up and be ready for the emotional roller coaster.

~~~~Dee's ★★★★★ Review~~~
Ever see a hornets nest high in a tree? It's a small bundle of buzzing, swarming energy that can inflict pain. If one gets too close. Well, this book is similar to that nest.
The nest is the threesome relationships of Mike, Daniel and Kate. There is a tug of war between the two men struggling to win the favor of beautiful Kate, filling the pages with so much buzzing around of testosterone challenges and female hormonal spats and tears that ......it is downright exhausting .....and pure joy to behold.
Emotions are intense. Examples: There is the night when Kate takes a stand at a party and blasts all her frustrations at the two men, stunning the onlookers and effectively bringing the party to a close. Then there is the day at the cemetery where Mike learns a truth that causes him deep, devastating pain. And then there is the night Kate sees Daniel doing something that she totally misunderstands and in her rage makes a decision that blows her relationship with Daniel clear out of the water. His reaction could be the death knell of their love!
In this book, people and their relationships change, molded by the decisions, reactions, mistakes, miscommunications and the events that manifest in their lives. The threesome characters evolve into other versions of themselves. The tight nest of energy falls apart and becomes like an abandoned hornets nest, empty and just a shell. If you let this series pass you by, you will never know what you have missed. Excellent plot and inspired writing. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. Five Stars.
✯✯5 Accepting Stars!!✯✯
OMG!! I can not believe what I just read. Seriously! D.Kelly has outdone herself again!! This Kate, Daniel & Mike love triangle is unlike anything you'll read. Then, to make it even crazier add Marc into it!! It made it where I could not and did not want to put down. Then, when I finished I was crying and mad finished it.
In the first book Breaking Kate we meet Katherine who goes by Kate. 4yrs ago she was graduating high school and about to get engaged to her love Michael. Then, after a tragedy in Michael's family it all changed. He blamed Katherine and left and didn't look back. Kate lives in her books trying to do her best. After the urging of her friend she agrees to go to a party and meet a guy.
The minute she meets Daniel everything changed. It was an instant love connection. Until the night of their best friend wedding. Kate gets introduced to the guys friend Mike that she's heard so much about. Except their friend Mike is Kate's Michael. Then, add in Vanessa. She's Daniels ex who is pregnant. Except she's not sure if it's Mike or Daniel's baby!
In Catching Kate it's all in Mike's POV. After seeing Katherine again and her not wanting to do with either guy he goes home. We learn the history that is Katherine & Michael from when they met. From when Mike met Daniel, Conor and everyone else. I went from hating Mike to feeling really bad for him. I couldn't wait to see what was next for these 3.
Now, Releasing Kate was an insane roller coaster of a book! Kate is doing her best to keep it together. And, she's failing miserably! Kate doesn't know what to do now that Michael is back. She had finally moved on from him. She loved Daniel more then anything. Now, Mike's back and he was her 1st love the guy she saw her life with. Add in a pregnant ex-girlfriend that the guys hate.
Kate has put Vanessa in her second house next door to hers until the baby is born. Then, they'll do a DNA test to see who the father is. Kate says she's not choosing until the baby is here. Daniel & Mike can't wait that long. They come up with a plan. They can both casually date Kate. But, it's really Mike & Kate getting to know each other all over again and grieve their daughter. Daniel & Kate also still have to get to know each other as well. They haven't been dating all that long.
They get into a good routine. Between Daniel and Mike still working together. They switch off going to Vanessa's to help while being on bed rest. And, hanging out with Kate.
Kate is still completely confused. She doesn't know who she wants to be with. Kate knows they look at each other like brothers. She doesn't want to get in between family. Kate really likes Vanessa and they've become friends. Marc is turning it up this trip. He's not afraid to let Kate know he's in love with her.
Everybody is holding on by a tread. In one way it seems like Kate is waiting to find out who the dad is to make her decision. The other way I felt like she didn't want to make a choice. Kate never wants to hurt anybody. Let alone one of her 2 loves. But, in the end Kate does make a choice. And, she made a choice for herself. Kate still ends up hurting people. Vanessa has her baby. Everyone is so confused and not sure where to go from there. I'm hoping the person she chooses will accept her even after all the decisions she made for herself.
The author wrote this book beautifully. You felt for everyone in it. There isn't a time when you're not bouncing from Team Daniel to Team Mike. I switched teams a few times myself! I also put myself in Kate's position as well. And, I don't know how I'd choose if I could at all. My heart broke for both Daniel & Mike. You can't help feeling bad for them all while reading this. Only D.Kelly could give you this love triangle and give it all the justice it deserves. And, then some! I'm looking for the conclusion of their story.
I have followed this author even before she published the first book, Breaking Kate. I have become addicted to this series, and this installment in the Acceptance series is by far the best to date. I love how within the story there are so many different points of view and yet, they are all right. The situation Kate is in has no easy out, there is no way everyone can come out of this unscathed. And Kate is finally reaching her breaking point. After having dealt with the traumatic loss of Mike four years earlier, to the loss of Lila, then to struggling to find her new normal, she had fought so valiantly. She had finally decided to move forward and date again. Falling for Daniel was the happiest she had been. And then the walls came down around her. Mike came back, and he is like a brother to Daniel, Vanessa shows up with her surprise, and the announcement that either one could be responsible, and her nerves are at the breaking point. How can she be with either of them when they need each other just as much? When Kate snaps at a scene she did not see for what it really was, can her life ever be ok again? Or will this finally cement the guys' fate in regards to her? Her struggle is so gut wrenching, and then her dealing with and helping Vanessa opens very raw wounds for Kate. Her journey and struggle will tear at your heart and make you want to throw your kindle, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. The cast of characters and the things that they each go through has endeared them to me. I cannot wait to see how their struggle comes to a conclusion in the next book. This one ran me through the wringer, and the ending had me leaping out of my chair. Can Kate come out of this in a good place? Only Ms. Kelly has the answers.
OMFG!!! Are you ready for a friggin' EMOTIONAL ROLLER-COASTER?! If you have NOT read Breaking Kate (The Acceptance Series #1), you can read this review for it will not contain ANY spoilers AT ALL
After the blowout at Jake and Aprils wedding, Kate finds herself torn between two men that she absolutely loves, Daniel, whom shes known for about a month, and Mike whom she has a long history with. Kate is determined to enjoy life, and to find herself. When a person from their past shows up with a surprise of her own, Kate is forced to put all romantic feelings aside, and be there for them. But what this person is bringing, is huge, and no matter what happens, each scenario is going to kill Kate.
Things have been spiraling down, and its only a matter of time before Kate snaps.. All she can do now is "OWN it, ACCEPT it, EMBRACE it, and MOVE ON." But when alcohol is brought into the mix, the truth about many things are going to be unleashed, good and bad. And when Kate gets drunk on several instances, she lashes out...spilling her emotions out for everyone to see and making choices that will have serious consequences.
I love that Kate and Mike are able to bond over their deceased daughter, and through this, they start to rebuild a friendship. Yes, I'm still #TeamDaniel, FOREVER, but the raw emotions and intense sexual tension makes me feel really bad for Mike. There is NO doubt that Kate loves both men, and that they both love her.
"Trust me, Kate, the best things in life come from the worst kinds of pain."
I was very worried that the entire book was going to be a pissing match between Mike and Daniel, but I was pleased that both Mike and Daniel are able to put their feelings aside, and lean on their friendship for support, and even though they both love Kate, they want what is best for her.
I just loved Kate, her character has come so far, and shes grown so much. Shes level headed and puts everyone elses feelings before hers. But she is also hilarious.
"We do have spank banks! It's a pretty gender neutral thing. Would it make you feel better if I call it 'rub club'? How about 'my finger vault' pr even better, how do you like the sound of 'clam dam'?
Unfortunately, we don't hear it from Kate as to whom she is going to choose, but I feel comfortable enough to assume whom she has chosen. But by the time Kate and everyone has realized who her heart truly desires...its too late. We are left with a HUGE cliffhanger...and I don't think my anxiety can take it. I'm only 30 minutes post Releasing Kate, and I'm a mess... I need to know how this ends. Will the guy her heart truly desires be willing to forgive her for the actions she choose? Or is it to late to re-kindle their love?
Oh man... D Kelly has done it...my heart has broken into pieces. I laughed, I ugly cried, and sometimes I wanted to throw my kindle across the room. OMG. OMFG.... HOW AM I GOING TO MAKE IT TO MARCH 2015!?
Releasing Kate is NOT a standalone. You MUST read the previous book in order to understand and feel. Book 1 will tell you everything you need to know, and Book 1.5 will give another POV that is not needed, but feels in so many gaps.
Normally, I enjoy these emotional reads but I would have not been as emotionally invested as I was for Breaking Kate. I blame the writing style of the author. She not only gave me a story to devour, she has made Kate my friend, an extension of me. So many times while reading Breaking Kate I could feel the panic and confusion welling up inside my body. I had to stop and remind myself I was not the one making this decision and no matter what happens, it will not change my world, but it sure felt like it for a very long time.
I don’t want to spoil the experience for you while reading the book so let me give you just a brief summary of the situation. Kate wants to be happy in life. She deserves that after what she had endured with her father and mother, the loss of happiness she had with Mike. The part of her heart she lost and the grief she still carries about Mike’s dad. This should be her time to live, be free and laugh. She also thinks this is the time in life she finds the other half of her heart.
She had that with Mike, but then he left. While he was sleeping with every woman that came along and hid away so he didn’t have to deal with what he did to Kate, her friend is keeping secrets that had they been exposed Kate would not be in this situation now. She finds her second chance with Daniel, but then on the verge of thinking about happily ever after, Mike reappears.
Filling Mike in on all that he missed out on while he was gone is one of the most painful times for Kate. Then the secrets and betrayals are uncovered. Kate’s life has become an emotional onion, with each layer that is pulled away comfort and confidence isn’t exposed, she sees more confusion and more hidden skeletons.
When thinking it would be best to just move on with someone new, she finds that becomes yet another failure for her. The heart isn’t ready to let go, but it also isn’t ready to make a decision. Living in limbo due to her emotions is stressful enough, but then she starts to see how Daniel and Mike’s past while they were best friends bring a new tidal wave of pain, surprises and destruction to Kate. Maybe the best thing to do is wait out a certain situation, see how this plays out and then decide which man she wants to give another chance to, but no matter what she does, there will be a constant reminder of what she lost in her life. The guy’s sins will always be another set of baggage she will be forced to carry.
I wish I could say what side I was on but after reading Mike’s POV I am as confused as Kate. This was such an emotional read, every time she thought she had safely come up for air and could figure this out, she was blindsided with more past events that had happen. The writing style is brilliant as it invites you into the madness. The emotions are raw and the consistency never allows the reader to take a breath, all creating an open door into the story. You as the reader will live it, feel it and mourn over the losses and be angry over the betrayals, while gasping at the new information you will read about. This series isn’t just a story, it has become an experience.
This book starts where Breaking Kate and Catching Kate leave the reader wondering what is going to happen next with Kate and Daniel and Mike.
Kate has finally got out of the darkness that was the death of her daughter and the lost of the love of her life. Finally after 4 years Kate has found someone to open up too and she gives love a try again. Daniel is everything she could want and more and she is now starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But when Kate discovers Daniel's best friend is her long lost love everything starts to spin out of control.
Being the selfless person Kate is she ignores her own feelings and focuses on everyone else around her. Mike and Daniel are best friends like brothers really and she can't be the person in between these two. So she decides to not date or persue either of them. This doesn't work and leads Kate to spiraling out of control and doing things she would of never done before. She doing soul searching to discover is it Mike or Daniel that she is in love with and want to spend the rest of her life with. But before she tells anyone who it is she loves Kate does something that crosses the line and this just could be end of any chance of happily ever with said guy. Everyone actions have consequences. Can Kate find forgiveness from Mike and Daniel ?
This is a book is about Kate's turmoil in the situation that she finds herself in at the end of Breaking Kate. She was coming out of the darkness that has been her last 4 years and looking to a future with Daniel and then she discovers Daniel and Mike not only know each other but are like family. Its an impossible situation to be in. So she tries to do the right thing but its so hard when there are all these feelings for Daniel who she only has known a few weeks but has had such a drastic change to her and then coming face to face with your first love who left you heartbroken. She does things during this time that aren't like Kate because she trying to deal but doesn't always do it in the right way because when she gets drunk she says and does things that are hard to take back once you sober up. Sometimes if you love someone enough you have to let them go because this situation is distroying Kate.
I truly have a love/ hate relationship with this book. There were times I was in tears and times where I was so mad I wanted to scream. But I loved it all. I am in a major book hangover and I want to see whats going to happen in Loving Kate the 3rd book in this series that is coming out in March 2015. I am so connected to these characters. I want Kate to be happy and I need to find out if she gets the guy she loves and what happens next with Kate, Mike and Daniel and the rest of their gang of friends.
Its a great book that makes you feel a lot of emotions all at once that can drive anyone crazy. But who doesn't love a book that you can't fall in love with the characters that they feel real and have the reader feeling all kinds of emotions. Its an emotional rollercoaster of a book.
Oh My...
Really I Love this book, now I've read it I'm a wreck!!!
This series just gets better and better!
My full review will be here soon, but for now... READ THIS SERIES!!!
It feels like I've been waiting for ages for this book! And then I was given a copy to review honestly and here we are. I've read it and spent no less than 5 days trying to write my review, trying to put my thoughts and feelings into words!
Throughout this series I've always been #TeamDaniel and even after reading Releasing Kate I'm still #TeamDaniel. That said I also think he's being a stubborn ass and needs a slap!!! ;)
This series so far has been one huge emotional roller coaster, and that roller coaster isn't over yet!
I made the mistake of attempting to read some of Releasing Kate whilst on my break at work, I only did this once though, why? because I could have cried my eyes out (not a good look in front of your work colleagues)!
In Releasing Kate we see another side of Michael, a side that almost makes me want to turn to #TeamMichael. But Daniel too shows another side; which at the right time is H.O.T, but at the wrong time makes him look like an ass!!
I really do feel for all the characters in this book. I can feel their happiness, hurt, anger, pain and emotional turmoil too. The way in which their emotions and feelings come across make me feel as though I can understand how hard it must be for Kate to try and decide between Daniel and Michael. There are moments when Kate says or does something which makes me think that she already knows who she wants to be with but she doesn't want to hurt the other one. I really want to know what she writes in her journal too!! Who will she pick? (who would you pick?)
Dee has kept everything real, there are times when I've wondered if this is based on a true life experience! The multiple POV's have the potential to be confusing, however they're not as Dee clearly states who's POV we're reading.
The way Dee writes pulled me into the heart of everything, I always felt like I was there with the characters; never on the outside looking in. The level of emotion throughout the book is off the charts. Reading the other book in this series have all chipped away at my heart but Releasing Kate has shredded it completely!
This is another great book in an even greater series! If you haven't read this series/book yet then I recommend grabbing yourself a copy along with a cuppa, make yourself comfy and then lose yourself to Kate, Jess, Michael, Daniel, Connor and Marc!
A huge 5* from little ole me!
P.S. Dee c'mon where's the next book? I'm dying over here!! ;)
I don't even know where to begin with this review. I finished Releasing Kate a few days ago and still can't get my head wrapped around everything that happened. I knew after the way Breaking Kate ended that I would be in for quite a ride and D. Kelly didn't let me down. She even managed to throw Team Daniel and Team Mike into the book. Be warned this book is angst overload and you will need your tissues.
In this installment of the series, the book is told from the POV of the three main players, Kate, Daniel and Mike. This could've went badly, but D. managed to pull it off flawlessly. It really enhanced the story to see how they all felt with everything that was going on around, to and with them. My heart broke for Daniel, Michael and Kate more than once. The scene early on between Kate and Michael had me reaching for more than one tissue. It was a necessary point to the whole story and the emotions that it brought forth, put me right there with them. Kate is heartbroken and out of control; she is acting and lashing out at everyone around her, including Jess. She is not only hurting her guys but herself as well. She keeps pulling them in and then pushing them away in the next breath. There were a few times I wanted to jump into my kindle and tell her to get it together. I was truly shocked by some of her actions; as was Daniel, Michael, not so much. This became a huge turning point for everyone in the book...
The others I've come to love in the series, Jess, Connor and April all make appearances. They come to the aid of the person whose respective corners they're in. They gave the story the slight boost of humor and lightness that it needed. I also really enjoyed seeing Daniel and Michael interact with Daniel's parents. Those moments were fleeting but showed just how much the unknown and big decision was weighing everyone down,
The ending had my heart pounding. The identity of the baby Vanessa is carrying is revealed- and of course this throws another twist in the Kate and Michael/Daniel saga. While to the players, Kate's choice may have been obvious, it was pretty well hidden right until the end. Now the only thing is to see if everyone can get past all the unknown and hurt and move forward. I absolutely can not wait until March to see how this series will end (fingers crossed for #TeamDaniel).
As I continue to read this series I am in awe of how much Author DKelly have grown as a writer. Comparing this 3rd novel to the first one in the series, all I can say is wow.
This book continues on the series about Kate’s life. This time around it’s all about her, Releasing Kate is all about Kate finding herself. Through getting to know Mike and Daniel and through making mistakes. And let me tell you, they are big mistakes.
 photo ReleasingKate-Teaser1.jpg
D Kelly really sucked me into this book, with the emotional roller coaster ride with not only with Kate but with Mike and Daniel. From the beginning of this series I was always #TEAMMIKE. I mean Daniel is not bad, but all I saw was Mike and so I have been rooting for Mike to get his Happy ending with Kate. But as the story progresses my focus was not so much about Kate any longer, it was spread throughout group of friends. As Kate spirals a little bit out of control on finding herself and trying to distance herself from both Mike and Daniel, she also loses herself from her pain..which caused her to do the unthinkable and made the biggest mistake of her life. A mistake that not only pained her, but also hurt the two men in her life. As she pick herself up and figure out what to do, will she find a way for both Mike and Daniel to forgive her? Or will she lose them both? Read and find out.
 photo ReleasingKate-Teaser2.jpg
This story again leaves us with a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to read the next book, which concludes the whole series. I am hoping for everyone to get their own happy ending. Both Mike and Daniel deserve it.
Releasing Kate should be read after Breaking Kate, book 1, and Catching Kate 1.5 in the series. This book Releasing Kate, will be followed by one last book that releases in March 2015!
Since Kate lost her mother at the age of 7, and then her lifetime friend and boyfriend Mike after a completely terrible thing happened, followed by her being pregnant and losing her baby, she has closed herself up to everything for the last almost 4 years. She just does not want to leave herself open to heartbreak anymore. Then she meets Daniel and it is love at first sight for both of them! Two weeks later she goes to Daniel's friends wedding, and runs into Mike.
All hell breaks loose and we see at the end of the last book how devastated Mike, Daniel, and Kate are. Mike considers Daniel his brother now and Daniel's family his family after they picked him up when he was shattered, and gave him a home, a family, and a job. This situation is further worsened by the fact that Daniel's old girlfriend is pregnant, but after drugging Mike, slept with him too, so who is the father?
This book tells what happens and as if anything could not get more complicated, Kate makes a move that totally shocked everyone and causes Daniel unexplainable pain. This book is so intense and filled with so much sexual and emotional angst, it is like you can feel it blaring off the pages of this book. I did not really expect what happened to happen.
This book will answer a lot of questions raised in the first two books, but you will have to read the last one coming out to see how it all comes out. I really liked this book, and will be glad to read the last one, to see how it does turn out.
Dee Kelly has written this wonderful series, and I have enjoyed reading every page of it. She has a way of writing that makes you feel like you are there witnessing it all first hand. The books never get boring,, or have you wanting to skim from one part to the next to get through the books faster. Do yourself a favor and read these books! Whose team will you be on Daniel's or Mike's? If you are anything like me you will be really torn!
I gave this book 5*****stars and can't wait to see how this series ends!
First, you will need to read Breaking Kate before reading this one. Catching Kate isn’t necessary to understand this one but will does add to the experience.
At the end of Breaking Kate, the showdown was set up. Will Kate choose to be with her new found soulmate, Daniel, or her childhood love, Michael? To me and my left brained super logical self, the choice is clear and easy. Team Daniel. I mean why anyone would go back to a man who so venomously spewed accusations without trying to obtain any kind of proof. I haven’t much cared for Michael throughout the series but he does make for an interesting antagonist in this scenario.
This book alone takes us on a whole other ride. Instead of there being a decisive choice for Kate, she enters into a type of love triangle simply because she doesn’t want to hurt anyone. I have always enjoyed Kate but through much of the middle of this I didn’t. Her tentativeness to fix the situation made her come off weak and a bit winey. While I can empathize with her reasoning, I just got to the point where I hoped Daniel would take off running.
The most impressive part of this tale is while reading I had no clue which way the plot would turn. In my mind I had an idea of how I’d like it to go since reading Breaking Kate but that doesn’t mean it’s the way the author wants it to go. I was surprised by many of the occurrences in this installment like who is the father of Vanessa’s baby, who will Kate choose/not choose, will everyone be able to have a happy ending. Some of my ideals came to fruition while others did not. Sadly and understandably, there are still more questions than answers at the end of this installment. We know who her choice is even if she fully doesn’t. Now we must wait until spring to see how this trilogy wraps up in what I’m sure will be another emotional rollercoaster.
Rating: 4 Stars
D. Kelly’s newest book in the series was an emotional rollercoaster. I am only going to hint at some things in the book, because I don’t want to spoil ANYTHING for anybody who hasn’t read this awesome series! Kate has a plan of action of how to deal with the two hot, sexy, and good men who are both in love with her, but can she stick to her guns???? And, how will all the secondary issues that affect all of them influence Kate?
The pacing of the book was great, just like all of the other books in the series. I was hooked and sucked in from the first words. Kate just continues to grow and mature into a strong woman who can stand on her own two feet. I have seen that some readers have felt that she was indecisive and needed to decide between Daniel and Mike. But, in D’s capable hands, I can relate to Kate. I think I would be just as indecisive myself. Seriously, you have two sexy as hell males who have good hearts fighting over you…that would be a hard decision! D makes you feel Kate’s emotions…her pain, anger, and love. I felt Daniel’s and Mike’s emotions as well. I thought I was pulling for Daniel, then I was pulling for Mike. I was on that rollercoaster of emotion right along with Kate!
It does end with a bit of a cliffhanger, but that just has me wanting more, D is an expert at making you want more and yearning to know what happens to her characters! I have only recently discovered D. Kelly, and I am so happy I found her. Her writing is addictive! If you want a story that pulls you in and keeps you there long after you are done, give this series a try! Be sure to read them in order: Breaking Kate, Catching Kate, Releasing Kate!!!
If you have not read Breaking Kate, please do not read this review as it may contain spoilers. This is an amazing series, I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone.
The love triangle continues between Kate, Mike and Daniel. Boy does this book continue to rip your heart to shreds. Kate tells both Daniel and Mike that she will not choose between them after the news of Vanessa. Who is the baby daddy for Vanessa's baby? I honestly couldn't decide which of the men I wanted it to be throughout the entire book. I just loved Daniel so much but then I also loved Mike just as much.
Mike deserved to get his girl back after all the heartache he's been through, not to mention the loss of the child he never knew about. But then Daniel is just so HOT,charming and WOW is he an alpha male! I wish Kate could have somehow had both men but that's just not realistic. I was #TEAMMIKE all the way going into Releasing Kate, have I changed my mind to #TEAMDANIEL or have I stuck with #TEAMMIKE? There's just one way to find out, you have got to read this book!
Kate makes some mistakes that I just can't mention here, but holy moly will it be a game changer that throws everyone into a tailspin! I can't recommend this entire series enough! Absolutely LOVED the heck out of it and I actually did need to join the Facebook Support group after finishing it because I was just so gutted and torn apart. Now the ending isn't happy like we all wish it could be, but I have hope that the final book in this series will have a HEA for all of us Kate, Daniel and Mike junkies. Do I even need to say it? 5 heart crushing stars is just about all I can say. Oh and get your tissues ready because you will be balling those pretty little eyes out ladies!!!
The love triangle continues for Kate, Mike and Daniel. Kate has made her decision to be friends with the two men she loves to keep from hurting either one, by making them wait to see who the father of Vanessa's baby is. With both, Mike and Daniel vying for her love and decision. Kate is feeling the pressure of putting there feelings before her own and with that comes a lot of stress. Mike and Daniel decide they must tell Kate a secret they have been keeping from her and when that secret comes out, all hell breaks loose and Kate is the one breaking. In comes Marc, her soul keeper, the one who is always there for her, the one Mike does not like or trust. Kate takes a break from everyone, even Jess, because kept a secret from Kate also, one that would have made all the difference in the world, had she told Kate sooner. This secret was kept for three long years and could have kept Kate from checking out for three years.
Kate makes her decision, writes it in her journal before Vanessa's baby is born, but circumstances present themselves and Kate makes another decision based on what she perceived the circumstances to be. Now with regret, she must fix what she has destroyed and with the help of her friends, she takes her first step to mending what is now broken.
All the emotions of this triangle with a twist of a baby with an unknown father until it is born, has you sitting on the edge of your seat. I have to say, I wanted Kate to pick who she didn't pick and with that a new beginning for everyone. I really really like this story and cannot wait to see how this will end.
