Cursed to wreak wrath and destruction upon all men.
Cursed to be alone until the creature lurking beneath Bronya’s skin is sated.
That is until fate entwines the path of Bronya, the Strzyga, and Lord Rokuro of Lapis.
Men. Men have created an inhospitable world where witch blood is a currency and a commodity. For the last century, witches have been hunted, imprisoned and bled for the magical properties of their blood. Witch blood can be used to imbue metal, strengthen muscle, heal the wounded and grow substantial crops.
As a small child, when her small coven are brutalized and captured, Bronya endures a curse so profound it will change the course of Eldora. A curse to wreak revenge on all men for the atrocities they have inflicted upon the race of witches.
After a century enduring her lonely, and yet, blood thirsty existence, Bronya finally wishes to end the tyrannical reign of Lord Warrock of Raikin City and his battalions of witch hunters. Her single hope - to finally free witchkind. However, when Bronya becomes the one witch in all of Eldora, Lord Warrock needs and hunts, fate steps in and changes the course of her journey to redemption and release, and puts in her path a single man that will either heal her or destroy her.
The Female Rage Series
A standalone high-stakes, enemies-to-lovers fantasy series that blends heart-pounding action with slow-burn romance that could very well destroy the world. The Female Rage series features high fantasy, rich political intrigue, dangerous magic, and fierce relationships. At its core, this series explores the power of women, female rage, and the consequences of underestimating us.
Each standalone novel hosts new fantasy worlds and universes, epic magical systems, fantastic creatures, lethal enemies to lovers and how love can bloom even between the most unlikely of partners — and how that love might be their ultimate undoing.
As the author, I’ve been yearning for FMCs who are not afraid of men. Who are the villains and heroes of their own stories. I wanted to read ruthless women who stand up to the patriarchy and laugh at the tears they collect from the men they destroy. Blood Hunt is the first standalone story in this series – and believe when I say I have many, many more.
Stay tuned for the next novel, releasing later this year.
I devoured this book in less than 24 hours. I loved it, I was not expecting the emotional rollercoaster that was this book. The characters were well written and the plot was amazing. The growth that both Bron and Rok went through was glorious.! The enemies to lovers was such a sweet slow burn that once it hit it burned.!
Just wow. This book is another level. Had me sucked in from the beginning. The writing style is chefs kiss and had me gripped from the first page.
We follow Bronya and her curse on a blood thirsty hunt to end the plague on the land that is men and their thirst for power, and witch blood... Until she meets Rok - I won't give spoilers....lets just say my eyes widened a few times in a particular spicy chapter ;)
“It was like falling from a great height, falling down through the depths of darkness until it surrounded me, blinding me and I was dispersed amongst the stars and endless space of the abyss.”
This book took me on a journey of different emotions and I loved every second of it. Bronya is fierce, powerful and determined. Her strength and character truly shine through as the story goes along. The chemistry between Bronya and Rokuro is strong. I truly felt for them both and connected with them throughout their journey. I see parts of myself in Bronya and her story. I highly recommend this book. I’m sad the book had to end.

I felt like this book was written for me, genuinely! It spoke to me on many, many levels. One badass witch on a rampage against abusive men. I honestly don't want to say much more about the story as I think you should go in blind.
The world building was easy to understand, just interwoven into the story. The characters were interesting & relatable. The writing was beautiful too.
Thank you so much for my beautiful PR package for this Marnie!!!!
This book completely took me by surprise in the best way possible. From the first chapter, I was hooked and attached to the main character I couldn’t help but root for! This is the kind of book you pick up with the intention of reading just a chapter or two and suddenly it’s 2am 😂 The particularly enjoyed that the world-building is well constructed without being overwhelming, which I find with a lot of fantasy books. If you enjoy badass FMC, this one’s for you!
5⭐️ Incredible. Just incredible. This was everything I wanted from an FMC rating against everything that is wrong in the world and more. Bronya deserves so much and the ending. The final 100 pages were all the emotions. This book seriously deserves more hype.
I was excited to read this dude to the female badass not needing men to save them.
First book I've read from this author and deffiantly not the last. I know this was a stand alone, but I'm here for badass women. No Damsel in distress. 🤣🤣
I love everything. The style of writing was brilliant. The pace was epic. It just never dipped. I ate this up so quickly, just had me on such a emotional rollercoaster(but here for it 😁(. I love how this wasn't a small read. The world building was soooo good. We so need this as a TV series. I could actually see this.
The banter between Rok and Bronya (love the names, so unusual) was so funny, spice was a added bonus as always. I love Bronya, she's a women after my own heart. She don't back down to no one. Always fight for what she believes in. He is what people will love in a Book Boyfriend, the banter, handsome, letting he be her in her own time. And not taking away her voice and badass Ness 😂😁
That ending thou 😳😳😳🥺😳😳😳🥺🥹😱
I think this kinda books should be more about. Especially in YA books. To give young girls the guidance and the initiative to become powerful young ladies that fight for they want and what they believe in and build more belief in themselves.
This is a powerful emotional story. That gutted its finished. But it will live rent free in my brain.
I really loved this story, The concept of witches being hunted for there blood was intriguing. I find majority of stories I've read, including witches, often see them being killed and not harvested in the way this book depicts. It was dark and gothic which I thought was great for the fall season.
I feel all the characters were developed really well, including side characters like Needy who was one of my favourites. I haven't deducted a star for this, but I feel the romance in this novel was an extremely slow burn, which I'm not usually opposed to, but I just wish they had more time to really explore each other and be open and honest with their growing feelings. It may have made the ending even more impactful. (I am aware there is going to be a book 2, so I'm hoping this is developed well in the next one)
The story began really fast paced, but I felt it slowed down towards the middle which lost my interest slightly. However, the last 100 pages were INCREDIBLE. It was gory, action packed and thrilling, the imagery created was just perfect, I honestly felt like I was watching a film!
Overall the story was fantastic, the world building was thorough enough, and individually I loved the character development and growth experienced.
A cursed witch. A blood-soaked legacy. This book encompasses rage, power, and dark magic. Revenge isn't just a goal for Bronya, it's her destiny!
I took my time with this read, highlighting my favorite sections to include them in this review. Ultimately, I devoured this story and only wish every author was as phenomenal as Marnie! Truly. Marnie has a talent like NO OTHER. Her writing is exactly what you want from a book of this genre. Descriptive, edgy, and made you feel like you were right there..a voyeur on Bronya’s “rage tour” 😆👏🏻. Obsessed. Simply obsessed. This is why supporting indie authors needs to be globally trending because you cannot find stories of this depth and incredible detail on Barnes and noble shelves. I said what I said!
If you haven’t read other stories by Marnie, what tf are you waiting for??? Thank me later!
Spoiler: my favorite sections: EVERYTHING about the Blood Moon approaching and the curse, spicy interactions 🥰, and Bronya’s entire lore legacy.
This will be a book I pick up again. Trust me, I’m so picky when it comes to witch stories now but this one IS IT ♥️♥️♥️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This book had me at the edge of my seat, gripping the pages, crying for a book character.
This is ultimately a fantasy/ sort of romance. Bronya is a witch whose kind is suppressed and hunted for their blood (magic). She has been cursed to take down the man responsible by becoming a wild and untameable creature. It’s only when she meets Rokuro that her faith in men and mankind is rekindled.
The book follows their adventure and beautifully outlines the insecurities and distrust that Bronya holds. Rokuro and Bronya are inevitable intertwined and are fated to a tragic end. It’s impossibly heartbreaking as we watch them learn to trust and love only for things to go wrong.
Their relationship is a beautiful one that I haven’t seen written so well in a long time. This could truly be a fairytale classic.
My only niggle is that the involvement of Matka the goddess seems a little oddly placed and surface level- I would have loved more of a dive into who she was.
Honestly if Norton’s other books are like this, my heart is going to break into lots of tiny little pieces for each character.
Firstly, I just want to say that this was my top read of July!
Now, I loved the writing style and the dual POV is always a fave here. I also liked how the book felt very balanced, it didn't drop at any points or had slow chapters. There was always something happening!
Another aspect that I liked, was the age-gap trope and how it was different from the stereotypical 'male being older' style.
Lord Rokuro. Well, what can I say.... New book boyfriend?
I loved how he was patient with Bronya and let her open up to him in her own time ( because of her tragic past surrounding the male species) and how cared for her , showing her that her curse wasn't all that she was. I liked how he saw her vulnerabilities and didn't immediately try to solve them himself, instead letting Bronya have her space and time.
That ending though! I thought for a second that Rokuro was gone! I was so glad we got a chapter 6 months later and found out that Rokuro was all good and that he and Bronya were living happily together.
On the whole, this is a fantastic standalone series with all the right tropes: - age gaps -enemiestolovers -forced proximity - one bed (one room) - he yearns for her - serious tension etc
I can't wait to see what's next in the series :)

Wow😅 where do I even begin?! This book is EVERYTHING I didn’t realise I needed!! Bronya will forever be the person I look up to going forward😅🤣Rokuro!! The man that you are😩😍
I absolutely demolished this book! When I wasn’t reading it, I couldn’t stop thinking about it! This book haunted me in the best ways! I absolutely ate up the strong FMC. The need to take revenge and take back power had me captivated!
I just don’t think words could even express how amazing this book is! When I tell you this book is a true enemies to lovers!! I was feral - begging on the other side of the pages for Bronya and Rokuro to finally do SOMETHING😩🤣!! But god was I rewarded with the wait!
I loved the found family aspect! Bronya’s relationship with Needy had me in tears! They were so cute and wholesome!
This book had me raged, devastated, excited and giggling throughout! If I could rate this book more I one million percent would! This book needs more recognition.
Marnie!! You did absolutely amazing with this book and I cannot wait for the next book to come out!!💕💕

Bronya is a witch, cursed by her own mother at the age of 7 to enact her revenge upon men, who have taken everything from her and her people. 100 years have passed since she was cursed, and the Blood Moon is looming, making the curse beneath her skin restless.
She crosses paths with an Emperors youngest son, Rok, and complicated feelings ensue. Bronya seeks to kill every man that has caused her and her people harm, and Rok has been ordered to bring her and her curse in to end the curse his bloodline was bridled with. Together, they enact the Goddess Matka’s divine plan.
This story has plenty of gruesome death, lust, enemies to lovers to enemies, betrayal, and a beautiful ending. The feminine rage is palpable, and yet at the same time, something beautiful comes from it. Absolutely loved it, cannot wait for the next instalment in the Female Rage series!
OMFG. This book is a MUST!! Bronya (FMC) is a badass witch and Rok (MMC) is seriously a contender for book boyfriend of the month!! This book is written in a duel POV and i adore a duel pov! Considering this the way Blood Hunt has been written is absolutely delicious! Its balanced but its also non stop. The writers ability to really capture a moment and make sure that non of the chapters slow down is impeccable! There is always something happening! Bronya is one unapologetic, strong willed witch brimming with rage and with a curse to kill all men who have wronged her people?!! I LOVE HER! She doesnt take ANY shit and especially not from the male species. Lord Rokuro, where do i even start??? Hes patient with Bronya and rather than trying to “fix” her vulnerabilities immediately he goes at HER pace! Letting HER open up to HIM in her own time! 10/10!! Overall this book is an emotional whirl wind and the slowburn between Bronya and Rokuro was so sweet that once it hit it BURNT!
Give me more!! This was the first book I have read by this author and wow, I will absolutely pick up another. I can’t wait for the next book. I feel this is so well written, it flowed well, it’s actually quite a chunky book but I never felt it was dragging on and at one stage near the end I was worried I had so few pages left that it was either going to be rushed or I was going to have have to wait for the next book. I am glad to say neither was the case, the end was emotional but well done. I loved the relationship building between Bronya and Rok and that ending… well my heart was in my throat. This is a def recommendation for me. Looking forward to the next instalment in the female rage series.
First of all I'm a big fan of Marnie's work! When she started teasing me with the idea of a female rage book I was instantly intrigued because I knew she wouldn't disappoint. Blood Hunt had me instantly glued to the pages! From the tragic back story of her curse, to the love interest that should never be but how could she not. I love this book! When I saw I had less than 100 pages left I couldn't finish it because I didn't want it to end. It took me a day to come to peace that I knew that she was going to break me and she did. This is a must read if you like witches, magic systems, forbidden love, a plot that will make you finish a 400 page book like it was 200 pages. I can't wait for more!
Hands down a 5 star book! I would say I couldn’t put it down but I’ve been exhausted for a few days with chronic fatigue & what would have normally been a 2 day read turned into a 5 day one. But still it was amazing. The writing is done so well, I loved the world building & getting to know characters a long the way! Because of a bad start early on in life I’ve been behind Bronya every step of the way , I loved the strength & courage she has shown . A woman’s lifetime fight for revenge that ends differently than she ever could have expected! A slow burn Enimies to lovers epic fantasy with some spice literally just enough & not too much ❤️🔥 11 hours total reading 📖
If Daughter of No Worlds and The Book of Azrael had a vengeance-fueled progeny, it’d be this book. Norton turns fury into poetry, and Bron is a razor-edged masterpiece, furious, fierce, and impossible to resist. And Rok? He’s no morally-gray chaos gremlin. He’s the annoyingly noble, do-good, the man who actually tries to do the right thing while the world collapses. The kind who steadies Bron instead of trying to tame her, which, of course, makes him stupidly irresistible. If you want rage, magic, a heroine who refuses to kneel, and a man who stands beside her without flinching, Blood Hunt hits like a spell you don’t want broken.

I was kindly gifted an ARC of this book. I honestly could not put it down! The dual pov within this story, we really capture the tension building within both love interests. The romance had a perfect ratio with the world building to make a top tier romantasy. The dual pov truly made the ending what it was, you understood the intentions of the character while feeling the emotions of the other. I am so obsessed with Rokuro, honestly up there with my top 10 favourite book boys. Thank you for creating such a beautiful masterpiece, I will never get over this.
I absolutely loved this book! The characters and world building was incredible, I felt a deep connection with Bronya the fmc and my emotions rollercoastered with hers throughout the book. I loved the uniqueness of the curse and the lore and language throughout the book. Slow burn romance was worth the wait with the spiciness rising in the last quater of the book I couldn't put it down! I don't like giving away spoilers but if you love fantasy, slow burn romance, enemies to lovers, curses and gore then you will love this book! It has such a perfect balance between action and world building!
I was hooked from the second I seen ‘female rage’ on the front of the novel 😩
You really feel for Bronya the whole way through, you know she’s angry and you know she’s lonely in her world- as the story goes on she finds people she thought were lost to her and her friend Needy & her husband have my whole heart🫶🏼
Also obsessed with Rok, feel like he needed more chapters & also WHAT MATKA MADE THEM DOO!!😧 broke my heart
Would 100% recommend this author, their writing style and the little twists they’ve put into this had me not wanting to put the book down 🤭

Female Rage, enemies to lovers, witches, monsters and a sexy MMC!
This book had everything I enjoy in a romantasy read, I absolutely devoured this book. Bronya the FMC was brutal and strong but also showed a softer side which I found very endearing.
In a world where you are forever hunted our FMC hides away and builds her revenge until she meets Roc ! Can she learn to trust this man after all the hunters that came before him.
Very well written and well explained magic system and world building . A brilliant Standalone Romantasy. Highly recommend.
I read this book as an arc and devoured this book is a couple of days, if I hadn't of been so busy I would have read it in one sitting. The plot is great the character development and depth is outstanding. The enemies to lovers is a delicious slow burn romance. This has one of the best female rage book l've read. The main character Bronya is a witched cursed to end the plague in the land of men. Then she meets Rokuro, let's just say things get hot.
Wow, what a stunning story this was. The writing had so much substance and kept me captivated throughout. What I found most compelling was the writers ability to balance the raw intensity of female rage with tender moments of love and support among women, forging bonds of sisterhood that felt authentic and beautiful. This book was truly a wonderful read, and I can't wait for the next instalment of this world!!! ♥️ ❤️ ❤️
I was not expecting such a rollercoaster of emotions reading this! This book has everything, witches, rage, spice, growth, enemies to lovers what more could a reader want?
I absolutely love Bron & Rok! They’ve made me laugh & cry! Such a well written book and I have loved every second of it!
Having the absolute pleasure of beta reading this book for Marnie I was obsessed from the first chapter sent. She always amazes me with her lyrical descriptive writing style and beautiful art of story telling. Dark, gritty and at times intense this book is hard hitting and thought provoking from start to finish. Feminine rage at its finest.
Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC
As soon as I heard this book was about feminine rage I just had to read it.
This book was very easy to digest and the world building/plot was captivating. I literally could not put it down. Really enjoyed the adventure and revenge plot as well as the slow burn romance. Would definitely recommend!!
I enjoyed this. It is an interesting world full of magic, it had some creepiness and some of the descriptions were beautifully done. I also liked some of the characters a lot particularly the MMC and Needy.
I wish the romance had been a bit more slow burn and the action a bit more fast paced as I did find it lacking tension and a little slow going at points.
Incredible storyline with a strong & fierce FMC, extremely well written, & twists & turns that left me shook! Spicy, enemies to lovers, & emotional rollercoaster! Would recommend this to anyone who loves a dark fantasy with a strong female lead!
