Vampire Thorsten Irizarry ignored the countless warnings from his cousin Jax to stop dating women who weren’t destined to be his mate. Why should he do it? He was only having a little harmless fun until Raya August came to her senses. She wouldn’t care about his past relationships. He knew his charming ways would win her over without any problems.
However, he was wrong. Nothing he did captured her heart. He was at a lost how to change her first impression of him.
Raya August wasn’t interested in having Thorsten as her mate. In her mind, he was a playboy looking for another challenge to conquer but he wouldn’t find it with her. She wasn’t into playing games and she wasn’t about to start now with him.
"The Queen of Tease" offers interracial romance stories that will leave you eager for more and turning the pages faster than you can read them. If you enjoy that, Marie's writing is perfect for you. Marie was inspired to become a writer after reading her first "racy" book as a teenager. She started writing years ago to pursue her dream and create characters who embody the idea of "Happily Ever After" for her fans.
Alpha Male Incorporated is a contemporary paranormal romance. Thorsten, a sexy vampire millionaire, has found his “unique” human female, Raya. However, he must change his arrogant and egotistical ways, or Raya will never fall in love with him.
In the beginning of the story, Raya loathes Thorsten because he has conspired with her brother to take her family’s company. Nevertheless, Thorsten is turned on by her fiery attitude and ambition. Deep down, Raya knows that Thorsten is someone special; however she keeps denying it. In fact, Raya doesn’t even know that Thorsten is a vampire. By day, Raya and Thorsten have clever verbal battles, but at night Thorsten watches over his destined mate and speaks to Raya in her dreams.
If Thorsten can’t get Raya to fall in love with him, he will go into the “sleep of dead”—a state that happens if one’s destined mate doesn’t agree to mate for life. Thorsten attempts to woo her and in the process he falls head over heels for Raya and becomes very protective over her. However, Thorsten has a big problem. Cordelia, his vampire ex-lover, is jealous and wants him back. She is determined to kill Raya before Thorsten can turn her into a vampire and have her agree to be his mate.
Overall, the storyline was hot. I enjoyed the “Alpha-ness” of Thorsten. I really liked the way he pursued Raya. However, the dialogue could have been a bit better. I appreciated the smooth flow of the story. Raya was a likeable and ambitious female. The sex scenes were creative which took place in the couch and the park. It had a satisfying ending. I would recommend this series.
Ugh.I was anticipating liking this book way more. But his controlling attitude was too much. I found that this book didn't have a natural progression of events. she went from not liking him at all to loving him. I was confused, when she started to like him, I was irritated with Thorsten. A when he locked her in the house, I was like "there's no way in hell".Never the less it was ok. sometimes. Repetitive sometimes but yea..

This book had so much potential, unfortunately Raya irritated the heck out of me, there where quite a few grammatical errors and the flow of the story lacked. I did not read book one or two and I'm so glad I did not. I felt there were too many appearances from characters from book one that were unnecessary. Not only that, the book kept eluding to something was troubling Sahara (character from book one) and never disclosed what it was.....well maybe it did in one of the horrible songs she wrote. After the first awful song I read I had zero desire to read anymore (so I skipped them).
Thorsten was not a character you immediately loved nor do you grow to love him. Definitely no book boyfriend material here. His character came off cocky, uncaring and immature; which did not change until the latter part of the book and even then it was not a smooth transition. I would have given this book 2.5 if it would have allowed me. I can't say I would recommend this book to anyone and matter of fact I'm pleading the fifth as to even reading it.
My word this was an annoying read! I usually LOVE Ms Rochelles work but I couldn’t even finish this, I barely got halfway.
Thorsten was the worst hero, ever. How are you a few hundred years old but still immature? Also why would any woman fall for that? It was a prolonged exhibition on Stockholm Syndrome. And Raya’s best friend was annoying and just as childish.
Ms Rochelles work is usually so exemplary and I’m still a big fan of hers and will try her future work. But but I will not be finishing this book.
