Mike Bishop is a former Marine Corps Close-Combat Training Instructor with a prison record and an edgy reputation. Bishop is more than surprised when Chigger Sanders, a small-time Tulsa thug unexpectedly appears on his doorstep. As a result of an attempt on his life, Sanders is weak and terribly disfigured. He asks Bishop to find the men who kidnapped and attempted to execute him.

As payment for his services, Sanders gives Bishop a stolen flash drive. He claims it contains valuable information about a recent terrorist attack on a nuclear weapons truck convoy in SUN DOG, Oklahoma. But within hours of their meeting, Chigger and his girlfriend are murdered.

Armed with information he discovers on the flash drive, Bishop’s investigation leads him to Jennifer Cleary, the CEO of a regional construction company and the mistress of a Tulsa-area mob-boss. In spite of Jennifer’s connection to the underworld, Bishop finds himself in an unexpected relationship with her.

Bishop must keep the Department of Homeland Security, the Tulsa Mob, and a savage serial killer at bay as he unearths the sinister truth about the SUN DOG attack.
