Delve into the most personal details of their relationships, their friendships and their lives. The only question is: can you handle the heat?

Lana lives her life by her own rules – and she has very few. What she wants, she goes for, and she very rarely fails. So when a young, handsome waiter at her favourite restaurant catches her eye, she has no hesitation in asking him to escort her home.

Cate Ellink

Cate Ellink became intrigued by the erotic when her grandfather used to pass books to her father saying, “Don’t let the girls read page X.” Although her mother and sisters never bothered to chase those pages, Cate always did. Invariably, her imagination was better than what she read.

While pursuing a career in science, Cate amused herself by writing about ordinary events and giving them an erotic twist. It’s taken more than a few years to bravely expose her mind to the public. While the events in her stories may have occurred, it’s highly likely that her imagination is far more exciting than the reality.

Cate lives near the beach in NSW, Australia, with a long-suffering husband.

Cate Ellink has a way of writing absolutely smoking hot sex whilst still incorporating sensuality and the exploration and development of relationships--Lana's story is no different.

Interestingly, for such a short story (Lana forms part two of the Escape Publishing Secret Confessions: Sydney Housewives series) the story and indeed plot is in no way rushed rather it offers a steady progressive pace.

Lana is an interesting character, not without her faults, who though seemingly a superficial man-eater on the surface does begin to show some depth toward the end. An interesting paradox of a character though--I'm still not sure if I love her or hate her. Full credit to Cate on achieving such complex characterisation. What I do know is that I would like to see more from Cate with regard to Lana's and Tom's characters.

Fantastic read and would highly recommend.

One of my favourite characters in the series. I've decided I want to be her. Lana's life sounds like more fun than mine.

If Lana, the second of our Sydney housewives is anything to go by, this series is going to be an incredible eye opener! Lana’s a fierce individual who knows what she wants and exactly how she’s going to get it. Now, that doesn’t sound overly astonishing but add in that she’s older, unmarried and is up for absolutely anything sexually (and probably in any other area of her life) and you’ve got a corker of a heroine!

Lana’s been around the traps for a while and is a successful actress. So much so, that the young men she has her eye on tell her how much their mums like her show! Any other person might be put off, but oh no, not Lana! She takes this and uses it to her ability to get young waiters home with her. And if their mums technically approve of Lana…well, it’s all okay then! Tom, her young waiter, is a good choice – he’s sweet initially, but turns into a real tiger. He’s also part of what is the most surprising sex scene I’ve ever read in a book. It’s very well done by Cate Ellink, not smutty or overly clinical…but wow! Lana, you go girl!

This novella is not for the faint hearted of sex scenes, but it does introduce us to a complex character in Lana. What exactly are her motivators? What fuels her dislike of Meagan (who gets her own story later)? I’m hoping Lana (and Tom please, he’s cute) make an appearance in future stories in this series. This is a short sexy read, but Lana will stay with you much longer.

There are so many things about Lana's story that make her stand out from the pack.

1. She is not married.
2. She is older.
3. She embraces her sexuality and makes no excuses for enjoying it.
4. She is not above using her celebrity to achieve her ends.
5. She is the most self aware of all of the women.

This is a story that could have easily gone the way of Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate. Thankfully, Lana's willingness to acknowledge the alpha in young Tom and allow him to take charge if the situation spared readers that agony.

What we have here is a steamy case of an older woman being honored and treated like the goddess that she is.
The fact that she gets this royal treatment at the hands of first one and then a trio of hot young men...while having the best sex of her life. Well, so much the better for Lana and her readers.

The sexy scenes here are HOT...HOT...HOT!

This book is one of the few in the series in which the hotties from Lana's bed make an appearance at the famed dinner party that each wife throws at book's end.
This story also ends in a rather open-ended way that leads one to believe that this may not be the last that readers see of Lana and the boys.

Reviewer's Note: This book is strongly recommended to readers 18+ due to sexual situations

Lana is a middle aged woman that is single. Lana has made a living being a soap opera star and is well known. One might think that a middle aged woman has slowed down a little in their sex life, but Lana is just the opposite and likes her men young. Lana usually ends up taking home her young waiters for a one night stand, never to be heard from again.

Tom is a young man that has become Lana's next victim. Tom has heard all about Lana and is eager to find out for himself what she is all about. Needless to say, Lana fulfills all of Toms fantasies in one night. He is thoughtful enough to ask Lana what her fantasy is and helps her to fulfill her own fantasy the next weekend, although Lana usually never sees one of her flings twice.

Lana gets to fulfill her fantasy and realizes that she does not want to let go of it so she lets Tom stick around awhile longer having he and his friends be waiters at her Double D dinner.

This was a quick, sexy read that I could not put down!! Love the Sydney Housewives!!

I really like Lana, she is a very complex character, at the start she is a man eater, that visits her friends restaurant a lot to pick up young toy boys. Everything changes for Lana after picking a waiter up and taking him home, she reveals a secret fantasy, one which her waiter just so happens can help her realise. I love how Lana is open about her sexuality, this whole series is about strong successful women taking what they want without apologies, they are who they are.

I am really loving this series, very hot, and sexy no holds barred sex. Successful women getting what they want, when they want it. If you love short sexy reads this series is a must.

Fun and Sexy Read

This is a fun and oh so sexy read: Lana is a cougar who knows exactly what she wants and is not afraid to pursue it and the younger men who can meet her desires. I loved the confidence that she has and the fact that she is keen to ensure that the men she enlists to give her pleasure go away as satisfied as she is. However, when she meets Tom, a waiter, she finds that he is willing to go to great lengths to indulge one of her fantasies, and Lana finds a new level of fulfilment in a mind blowing erotic scene – a scene that I for one have fantasised about! I was given a copy of this novella for a fair and honest review.

There's a lot I liked about Lana. Her confidence in her sexuality and success. The fact that she was mature.

The best part for me was the respect and care Tom gave to Lana. I think people are always scared that they will be made to feel shame when they share the secret desires, you know, the ones deep down that you don't talk about.

I think this was beautifully done.

I loved Lana. The way Cate Ellink writes her erotica just pushes all my buttons. Lana is a fabulous woman, experienced, confident, and worldy. But young Tom proves she hasn't seen all there is to see or had all there is to have yet. Phoar!
