I DNF’d. I really enjoy Kira’s books and enjoyed the first book and although there were red flags around the fact FMC allegedly hid a baby from a man she didn’t even have the name of… I was committed enough to read this second book.
But the victim blaming just got worse in this one. She’s written to try to be this strong brave woman that can cope with the mafia life and yet she willingly plays the fall guy no matter the trauma she’s been through.
He can’t trust her because of her lies?! Give me a break. When he has to get a PI to confirm what she has said and he believes her (but doesn’t still trust her…) and she was content with this and it didn’t piss her off… Nope. That’s the point I DNF’d.

What a page turner, I couldn't stop reading as soon as I started. Action pack from the beginning to the end. With a lot of heated moments as well as emotional moments.
This is a continuation from book 1, so read that one before you read this. So you understand what's going on.
This book evolves Clara brother Ben, which she has talked to since they were children for what he did. So she is surprised when she sees him again. She doesn't know how to tell Marco about him. But Marco finds out anyways and gets pissed by Clara secrets. It's a bumpy road between Marco and Clara for a bit and until.
Kira does an amazing job with story building, giving us action, and heated moments in the bedroom.
They are trigger warning ⚠️ please be aware. Kidnapped, murder, trafficking, gun.

In this follow up to RUTHLESS SECRETS, Clara and Marco are now together romantically and raising their formerly secret baby, Zoe, together.
In the first book, Marco and Clara had a one-night stand involving much tequila and her getting drunk in her bridal gown after a failed wedding. Good stuff. I’m absolutely thrilled that this Mafia Romance is not about a forced or arranged marriage, like almost all of the Mafia Romance novels I’ve read lately. This is newer, fresher. And it’s about people who have complexity. Clara, for example, is a would-be fashion designer, a mother, and a woman keeping secrets from the man she loves. Which is refreshing compared to the doll-like , one-dimensional heroines of other mafia duets.
I very much enjoyed this book. The plot was fast paced and caught my attention from the beginning. Bad guys popped up like a game of Whack-a-Mole, and interesting alliances were made. The book balances on family dynamics, whether it be Marco’s love for his lady and their daughter, or the betrayal by Clara’s estranged family member. The sexytime was enthusiastic and well written. Definitely hawt. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this duet.

This is the continue of book 1 Ruthless Secrets. So if you haven’t read that one don’t start this one. It won’t make any sense.
Please read the trigger warnings. This is a mafia book and there is a lot of murder/death, kidnapping, trafficking, guns, drugs, etc.
We pick up where book 1 left off with Clara being held by Tomasso’s men at an undisclosed location. Marco is out of his mind trying to find her and has to align himself with some other mafia men who he doesn’t see eye to eye with. There are lines he won’t cross in business and Cillian doesn’t share his views. But the risk will be worth it if he can get his Clara back in one piece.
I love a good mafia story and this one checked all the boxes for me. Marco and Clara’s chemistry is off the charts off. Of course Marco is our brooding sexy as sin alpha male so that makes it even better.
I loved this continuation of the story. I loved watching their relationship grow and become what it does. And watching their daughter come to love her daddy and that relationship with the big bad mafia man was so tender and amazing.
This was a great story with a perfect hea. I can’t wait to see if she is going to keep going with this family and see who she writes about next.
If you’ve never read anything by Kira Cole I highly suggest starting with Ruthless Secrets.

You might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Picks up where book one left off Clara being held by Tomasso’s men she sacrificed herself to protect her family Marco didn’t get to her in time before they took her and he is going out of his mind but what’s worse is that he has to work with other men in the business who he doesn’t see eye to eye with but he is willing to work through it to get his girl back. Clara on the other hand learns that the brother she thought was dead is very much alive and works for the rival family but when she is used as a pawn by her own family to trap the very man she loves will she go against everything in her to trap him or will she do what she can to warn him of the trap being set for him. Is her brother so far gone he will watch her burn, will she find her way back to her baby girl, will Marco save her, is there any form of peace for her, and will they find the happiness they seek with their small family…where are they headed?

Claras struggles to get back to her little girl and Marco without losing them as decisions made could be devastating! Wow, what a fast, action-packed end to this series. Ruthless Vengeance begins where the cliffhanger in Ruthless Secrets left off, with Clara kidnapped. Now Marco is out trying to find who has her. Everyone is left having to reside at Andre's house to keep the whole family safe from their enemies. Marco finds himself left with no choice but to use Cillian and is forced to promise to help him at a later date. However, Marco is left feeling betrayed when he discovers that Clara has been lying by omission again. Will this be the end of them, or will their love win through? Will Marco and Clara ever get their HEA?

I couldn't wait for this story to be available. Marco is lured to the location where Clara is being held after she gave herself up to allow Lila and Rosa and the children to escape. He is forced to ask Cillian for his assistance which comes with a return favor.
Clara attempts to hide the fact that Ben her brother was at the site, but Marco finds out about her deception. They are at an impasse but finally resolve their differences.
There is a magnificent finale which was very well crafted and quite a surprise.

If i could have given this concluding story more stars I would because it has been written so brilliantly.
This story caries on from Ruthless Secrets, Clara has been kidnapped by a mad man who wants to kill her partner Marco.
Also finding out her brother Ben who escaped from prison is part of her kidnapping.
When Marco resolved that with a shootout, Ben escapes for now.
Nothing is easy and quiet in mafia families and especially the De Luca's and its nit long before danger arrives again.
Problems there are plenty resolving them more difficult and trying, traitors and others willing to help at a price.
A great ending for a trully great series.

Such a great ending to the duet. This book really brought the suspense and danger.
Clara being kidnapped really needs her white Knight Marco to help her get home.
This was an amazing ending to the duet. I enjoyed the passion ramping up and the danger getting closer. Clara was learning the Mafia ways and Marco learns to not treat her like she is weak.
This book is highly recommended and i couldn't have enjoyed it more. Fantastic!!.

This second half had some serious twists and turns! I loved how Marco never turned his rage on Clara like some dark romance books. He is madly in love with both his girls and would burn the world to protect them even when he doesn’t trust Clara. I was sad that Ben never got a redemption arc but sometimes bad people are just that and there’s no redeemable qualities. The plot was a smidge predictable but that might have just been me in a genre slump. Overall, as usual Kira spun a great story!.

This was alright and a good companion to the first. This one starts where the first ends. Meaning Clara, omitting important information, AGAIN! Luckily Marco is forgiving. The story is good and it moves well. The ending is quick and there were some loose ends. I'm not sure why her brother was at the safe house and no one addresses it. Nothing comes from the drop. There's drama but the conclusion of it always falls flat. Overall, it was fine. But it could've ended in the first one.

Ruthless Vengeance picks up Marco and Clara's intense story from Ruthless Secrets. Clara is still missing and Marco is going out of his mind. Their journey continues in the same path as book 1 and is completely consuming. These characters are off the charts HOT and the growth from book 1 to this one is fantastic. We see a tender side to Marco that's swoonworthy. A fantastic way to wrap up this couples journey.

WOW, what a book !!! What an incredible read !!! Such an amazing love story, full of passion, adoration, loyalty, and protection. I was stunned by the way Marco worshipped his girls. The author came up with an exciting plot, well-developed characters, and such chemistry and spice between them that it takes your breath away. This is such an amazing read, I highly recommend it.

Clara and Marco sizzle once again in Book 2 of their continued story and must be read after Ruthless Secrets! Lies, deceit, kidnapping, secret baby, enemies, danger, drama, angst, and lots of sexy spice! What's not to love? I really enjoyed the story between these two, the constant battle they fight, and the love they find!.

Marco and Clara's story continue. She is in the hands of the enemies and learns that her brother is working for them. She didn't tell Marco about her past and it has come back to bite her. Marco is out of his mind and when he learns Clara's secrets has a hard choice to make. Will he come to her rescue and get a chance to live a life of happiness with her. This action-packed drama had me glued to the pages.

This book continues where Ruthless Secrets left off. I absolutely fell for Clara and Marco's relationship. Marco is going out of his mind trying to find Clara. Secrets swirl around in this story and more things come to light. Kira Cole is one of my favorite authors of Mafia romance because of the way she writes her characters and what she puts them through. Another great read by her.

A captivating story stared out at a fast pace and didn’t let up right from start to finish. We met her psycho brother Ben who we met at the end of book one as her mysterious, after he kidnapped her for their enemy. Loved the story line it’s filled with twists and turns that keep you on the end of you seats!.

This is Book 7 in the Alpha Mafia Daddies Series by this author. It is the conclusion to the second chance romance between Clara and Marco which began in Book 6. These two flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an intriguing read. Their love story ends with more drama and steam, danger and suspense, sexual tension and chemistry, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters. An amazing read.

This is the sixth installment in the Alpha Mafia Daddies series. The action, danger, suspense, secrets, and unexpected twists had me hooked. I was engaged from the very first page to the last. When we first come across Clara's brother I just knew there was going to be trouble. This was one ride I didn't want to miss. Highly recommend reading.

The second part of this duet was everything. Action packed, high adrenaline, high emotion, risks, and rewards. I loved all the characters, all the passion, and the found family.
For being organized crime, Marco was a big softy. Clara was a perfect match for him in every way. The heat and connection between them jumps off the page.
