Out of all of the books in the series thus far, this one is the fastest paced one of the lot. There is a lot that happens in it, and I really do mean a lot. Of course, given that this is an epic fantasy, with the fate of Rand hanging in the balance, that is to be expected. And wrt the cliff at the end of the previous book, this one delves straight into and resolves it at the beginning.
Overall, it is an enjoyable read, and a satisfactory conclusion to the series. As far as I can tell, all of the lose threads are wrapped up, we get reveals that have been teased for a while, and events that have been a long time coming. I wouldn't be surprised if a certain young child ended up getting a book of her own once she gets old enough.
As to if we'll see any more books following directly on from this, I have no clue. I'm curious, but at the same time, this one has wrapped it all up on a good note. I guess we shall see.
