I mean it is a piece of history, and it is fun to peruse a classic with all of the anachronistic language and measures (wineglasses and hookers and demitasses and such), but the pre-prohibition recipes in here either haven’t stood the test of time, have some crazy ingredients, or have been dialed in and improved in the century since. I mean the Dry Martini is 1:1 and the Martini (Dry) is 2:1…crazy! Still a nostalgic read.
