ILYA
My own soldier, someone I trusted, betrayed me.
Now, the woman I’m in love with is in danger.
Just when I think things can’t get worse,
Demyan returns.
He is furious with me.
We put aside our differences to find Alina,
But Demyan makes it clear he’s never going to forgive me for this.
How can I make him see this isn’t just a fling?
Alina means the world to me.
I’d sacrifice everything to be with her.
Including our friendship.

ALINA
I knew Demyan would eventually find out about Ilya and I,
but I had convinced myself he’d understand once he saw how happy we were.
I was wrong.
I’ve seen my brother angry, but never like this.
He looks at Ilya like he wants to murder him.
Then things get even more complicated.
I find out I’m pregnant.
Ilya is thrilled when I tell him.
My brother? Not so much…

Scarlet Promise is book four of the Yegorov Bratva Series and the conclusion to IIya and Alina’s story, which began in Scarlet Vows. A beautifully crafted story with world building characters and a fascinating, twisty and complex storyline that grabs you by the throat and doesn't let up until the beautiful HEA. This is Ilya and Alina story which is told from a dual point of view. It's pulse-pounding action, high-octane adventures, non-stop twists and turns and danger. A fast paced, dark, thrilling and violent read. This book demands to be read and screamed escape from the everyday life and gave that something extra that you craved and never knew that you needed.
Wow! Is all that I can say about this addition to the series. Hang on to your kindle and brace yourself for this tantalizing rollercoaster ride filled with tension, drama, threats, attacks, acceptance, forgiveness, heartbreak, healing, resilience, anger, lies, deception, violence, enemies, emotions, greed, betrayal, secrets, darkness, madness, steam, survival, surprises, sacrifice, revenge, hurt and pain, captivity, strength, retaliation, family issues, passion, kidnappings, power play, power struggle heartbreak, love, broken friendship, love and so much more. The story picks up where it left off where Alina was kidnapped by Ilya second in command, a man who he thought that he could trust. Demyan is back from Russia and learned that his sister and his second in command and best friend is now married and is pissed off and view the act as a betrayal on Ilya's part. However, the two must put away their anger and differences in order to get back Alina safe.
When they did Demyan could not reconcile that his best friend and sister had married behind is back and that it was real. Frankly, he was being a major asshole given how he was in gain his wife. Ilya and Alina realized that they marriage was real and that they loved each other and decided to fight for their marriage. But with the tension and anger between he and Demyan Ilya loved Alina loved her enough to let her go with her brother after she return and Demyan didn't want them to be together. Alina and Ilya were happy about the new that she was pregnant and they were going to be parents. They didn't want to add fuel to the fire of an already highly charged situation with Demyan and decided to keep the news to themselves. He still have is enemies in the Belov Bratva and is fighting to keep his inheritance with Alina by his fighting along with him. He asks Demyan to work with him but Demyan was so anger and spiteful that he refuse. These two had to fight hard to get their HEA with outside enemies and infighting between family and friends and Alina continuously get abducted. However, the author tied it up nicely in the epilogue. I will leave you here run and get your copy of this book.

It’s rare for a second book in a duet to hold its ground against a stellar first installment—but this one does, and beautifully so. The story goes deeper than a typical Bratva romance, exploring themes of grief, healing, loyalty, and the courage it takes to embrace second chances.

Alina’s journey is heartfelt and layered. Having endured profound loss, she navigates the fragile process of opening her heart again, and the way her relationship with Ilya develops across both books feels both earned and poignant. Ilya, for his part, grows beyond the archetypal Bratva antihero—he’s powerful and commanding, but also deeply respectful of Alina’s bond with her brother. His willingness to protect her without forcing her to choose between them adds emotional weight to his character.

The tension in this installment is heightened by betrayal from within Ilya’s ranks, the return of an angry Demyan, and Alina’s unexpected pregnancy. The stakes are as personal as they are dangerous, blending family conflict with the raw edge of Bratva politics. And yes—there’s no shortage of fanservice, courtesy of Ilya’s charm, intensity, and that fabled eight-pack.

Engaging, emotional, and packed with just the right mix of danger and romance, this was a one-sitting read for me. A perfect conclusion to a duet that will stick with me for a long time.

3.75 ⭐️ Man, this one had me in turmoil. I wanted to give it LESS stars because of how Demyan behaved. I hated it! But then I also wanted to give it MORE stars because the characterisation and the passionate response his behaviour drew from me was incredible! Really well done. The desire to jump into the pages and smack him upside the head for his words to Ilya, his sister and even his wife. . . don't get me started! LOL.

I think the moment Demyan 'came around' needed to be more intense, given the extent of his drama lama tantrums. It had all the right set up, it just lacked a little punch (to his gut!).😉

I would have LOVED to see Alina lose her memory temporarily after a concussion and see how Demyan played that opportunity against Illya! 😯🫢 Gasp! But. . . we know he wouldn't do that. He's a good guy underneath his poor emotional regulation capacity. 😆

The dog was a super cute, but the extent of his inclusion in the story added a little TOO much sugar to this mafia romance for me - especially given Illya was already on the softer, less confident side for a mafia MMC. Don't get me wrong though, I loved Ilya! 😍

Also the mentions of Max (the deceased husband) happened too often for me. It was needed, sure, but not so often. Sometimes less is more.

Feels like i am mentioning lots of negatives ere, but it's only because these are things that stood out for me. Its still definately a recommended read!

I was glad for this book to be over. This duet followed the same kind of format as the last, and this book was mostly about Demyan being too controlling. I was bored through parts of this book.

I have to admit, I really can't stand Demyan. I the first duet, he was the same way theought most of it, then he pulls his bullshit on his sister. I honestly don't know why she put up with even half of his crap.

Again, this author's writing doesn't really convey emotions to me. I don't feel anything from them at all. Sure, they say how they feel, but I am not feeling it, myself.

I read a review of one of the other books that described these as a beginner's introduction to bratva books, and I have to agree. Most of it was so watered down that it could have been easily swapped with a corporation and nothing lost. It wasn't until the end that we even got a peek when they were torturing Melor that it finally felt more mafia/bratva.

Technical issues, there were several. I saw at least one misspelling of Melor's name as Malor. There were also so misspelled words and a couple missing words. This seems to be super common in books nowadays, though.
The hospital was Closed for reservations? Don't you mean renovations?
I'm not sure you make reservations at a hospital.

I will not read these again. I may recommend them to someone not familiar with bratva/mafia books and wanting to get into them, but that's it. Probably not, though.

It’s rare that I get to say this: this second book of a duet is as good as the first, which was excellent.
The book goes deeper than the average Bratva novel. One of the main themes is respecting both loss and second chances. Grief is a journey, and the FMC, Alina, travels it and finds love again. It’s a beautiful process that takes place through both books.
Ilya learns more about his strengths and weaknesses. He also loves Alina enough to try not to make her choose between him and her brother. He respects Max’s place in Alina’s heart. And he has an eight-pack that won’t quit, so Fanservice.
I enjoyed this book very much and read it in one sitting. Which means I missed my lunch and am starving, so I will end this with
CAT’S STATS:
MMC/FMC- Ilya and Alina
Genre- Mafia Romance (Bratva)
Heat- explicit, open door
Series? Duet
Safety? Y
Triggers- graphic violence, past loss of partner, grief, sad stories about homeless animals, language.
Tropes- Russian Dressing, Friends to Lovers, Brother’s Best Friend, It’s Pakhan not Pakhan’t, Fake Relationship, Marriage of Convenience, He Ain’t Heavy— He’s My Bratva, Where There’s a Will.

Demyan is back and on the war path. How could his second in command, his friend, go behind his back and marry his sister, and also put her in danger?

Ilya blames himself for not seeing what was right in front of his face. How Melor played him, and made his men doubt his leadership. Ilya will stop at nothing until Alina is back by his side; she is the love of his life, even if she doesn't know it.

Alina realises that Ilya means more to her than just a friend helping a friend. Her feelings have deepened into love. She feels guilty that she is betraying Max and his memory. She has to work through guilt to realise he will always have a special place in her heart, and Ilya understands that.

What Alina finds harder is how Demyan has reacted to all of this. She can't believe how bad and mad he is towards Ilya. Not only that, is how his actions are hurting others. Will Alina have to choose between the two people she loves the most, and if she does, her brother is not going to like the outcome.

A great end to this series of 4 books covering the Yegorov Brava. The men may be alpha males, but the women are also strong; they need to be, to be able to stand up and fight for what they believe in.

Arc Review

Choosing 1 to lose another - conundrum for Alina.
- Content
- @ what cost?

Ilya - “not giving up on her. Not giving up at all”
- relationship
- friendship
-Bratva/Pakah

This was perfection for me. The conclusion to the Yegorov Bratva or is it? This may /maynot be the end of reading about the characters.

I digress, Scarlet Promise was full of emotions. Not only for Ilya & Alina but Demyan. The mountain they had to climb to acceptance. Beautifully written and expressed. Though true to Bratva living, life has high expectations and a lot of alliances. If you have read the series so far, you will be aware of the storyline and the characters. Best to start from book 1 in the series. Don’t go straight to the end as all the foundations to this emotional read will be lost.

Sit down, have a glass of wine and live through the Yegorov siblings. Learn what makes them tick. What expectations were placed upon them. How they became who they are now with … yes, the big “L” word.

Let’s not forget Albert, a bond created by love.

I’d still recommend 18 + readers as there may be trigger points, emotional triggers, explicit sexual content.

I couldn't wait to read this story; I was thrilled to see it was available.
Ilya and Alina secretly married to allow Ilya to claim his inheritance. They kept it a secret from her brother Demyan. In the continuation, Alina has been kidnapped by Melor who wants the Belov Bratva. Ilya and Demyan mount a rescue operation which is successful in rescuing her. Melor and Simonov escape the operation. Ilya and Alina must battle Demyan's disappointment and feelings of betrayal for their deception. Alina and Ilya are thrilled to find out she is pregnant, but they decide to keep the pregnancy secret from Demyan. His wife Erin figures out Alina is pregnant but agrees to keep it a secret.
The plot is very complex with multiple subplots. Throughout the story, Alina is very strong in her mission to find a truce between her brother and Ilya.
The characters are very well developed, everyone in this story has a tragic background which adds a richness to the story.
I couldn't put this one down. A fitting conclusion to Alina and Ilya's story.

Scarlet Promise continues with the love story of Ilya and Alina. Ilya, with his inherited grandfather's Bratva, is trying to get it up and running with the reluctant men on his side. Alina, his love, is living with him until her brother Demyan storms home feeling betrayed and takes charge. He is making Alina move back home with him to keep her safe. Ilya reluctantly agrees, knowing she will be safe there, especially since danger is following him, and he needs to prove himself worthy of having Alina in his life. Demyan is angry, stubborn, and determined to keep Alina from Ilya—Demyan and Ilya were once best friends, now enemies in Demyan's eyes. Kira keeps you turning the pages as a once-united family is torn apart, along with all the twists and turns that you don't see coming.
I received an arc from Booksprout for my voluntary honest review for NN Book Blog. If you love a fast-paced, edge-of-the-seat Bratva romance, then you will love this book. You will need to have read Scarlet Vows first, as a Scarlet Promise is the continuation of Ilya and Alina's story.

I love Alina and Ilya but sweet Mary mother of god how many times can the “Bratva Princess” be taken willingly by being too trusting! This girl has been raised by 2 pakhans and still doesn’t know when to not go with a stranger 🤣.

While I do think the finale kept the characters true they also didn’t grow. Alina and Ilya both continued to be too trusting. And Ilya went back to being second. I was disappointed in that. Demyan didn’t insist Ilya keep his bratva and help him become a strong Pakhan, no shock there.

While Alina’s push to find the shelter a new location was such a big part of book 1 & 2 it was glossed over in the end. I really think this could have been a huge growth for the character if we saw it through. I love that Ilya bought her other things to help the shelter, and that is very much his love language, but it felt like “fixed” it for her.
All in all I did love the book and it was a great story but for me it left a little to be desired.

Scarlett Promise is the fourth book in the Yegorov Bratva series. Like the others in the series, it has a phenomenally gripping storyline and characters that you have come to know and love, and in some ways fear, after all, these men are Bratva. There are a few surprises in the story, especially with Demyan acting totally off the rails crazy, but the story flows well and the characters are engaging.

From the first page you are brought into the violent world of the Bratva and the resilience of these characters. Alina's strength throughout the story is admirable as is Illya's undying love for her. She has gone through so much, that it seems almost unfair that she and Illya have to fight for their happily ever after. However, through betrayals, drama, steamy romance, violent attacks, family fights, and more their bond of love grows stronger.

This is the 4th story in the Yegorov Bratva Series where Ilya and Alina discover their fake marriage is something real worth fighting for. Ilya has been working with Melor running his deceased grandfather’s Bratva only for him to destroy all their work for revenge and power. With his traitorous actions and Alina being kidnapped Demyan returns from Russia and he goes on a war path leaving no one safe! There is a struggle for Alina, Ilya and Demyan with being siblings, best friends and genuine 2nd chance at love no one ever saw coming for them to navigate through the ups and downs with the strength and power needed to come out whole will have you on the edge of your seat to see how fierce Alina can be, Ilya realizing what’s most important and Demyan coming to grips with Alina’s choices! Scarlet Promise is the 4th book in the Yegorov Bratva series and it follows on directly where Scarlet Vows left us on that exciting cliffhanger. Continuing the story of Ilya and Alina and their sweet little dog Alfred, trying to convince Alina’s brother Damyan to accept their marriage and work with Ilya with the Borev Bratva, but he cannot see past his fury, Alina and Ilya are still facing dangers, betrayal, lies as well as dealing with the heartbreaking feud with Damyan.
Their love for each other and their dog is growing stronger every day, will they get their happy ever after they so deserve?
An intense, emotional read that I couldn’t put down from the first page until the incredibly satisfying last!.

Scarlet Promise is the continuation of Ilya and Alina's story. They have realized that the marriage they deemed as fake is really a marriage they want to keep and fight for. They try to convince Alina's brother, Demyan to accept the marriage. Ilya wants to work with him. Demyan is furious and cannot see past his feelings. Alina and Ilya are heartbroken with this feud between them and Demyan. Their story is filled with suspense and betrayal.

I love how they fought for their lives together but will they be able to overcome all their adversities? You don't want to miss this conclusion. I look forward to more from this talented author.

The way this book followed the first was smooth and you got to jump right into the story and where it had left off. I loved how these two came together and made their relationship successful. The way the characters solved their issues, and one thing I liked is the main character was really good at what he did but he had a hard time stepping into the role of being the top boss and he acknowledges it and I like how the author made him have his own weaknesses and his strengths. The book is well - written, and I loved the dynamics through the whole story and it keeps you on the edge of your seat.

As Ilya and Demyan rescue Alina from the ones who betrayed the Bratva, now they are left picking up the pieces of the secret they kept from Demyan. And a little surprise in the wings may complicate the situation even more. Thank garsh for Erin having Demyan’s ear to talk some sense into him. But they cant deny the love they have for each other. And Albert? Sweet lovable pup was a star in this story. This was an action packed mafia drama with inside betrayals that kept me glued to the conclusion of Ilya and Alina’s duet.

Scarlet Promise, book four in the Yegorov Bratva series continues the story of Alina and Ilya. Ilya blames himself for Melor’s betrayal, making his men doubt his leadership, not to mention that Demyan is back and on the war path for Ilya marrying his sister Alina. Alina is working through her own issues, feeling like she’s betraying her dead fiance Max, and struggling to make her brother see how much she cares about Ilya. Now she’s pregnant, and while Ilya is overjoyed, her brother, not so much. Will Alina be able to bridge the gap between her brother and her new husband? Or will she be forced to choose between the two, knowing that it won’t be Demyan she chooses.

Scarlet Promise is Book 4 of the Yegorov Bratva series and the conclusion to IIya and Alina’s story, which begins in Scarlet Vows. You do need to read previous books in the series. Kira Cole really nailed it with this series! I enjoyed every book and they all just kept getting better. Great characters, interesting story line, and I am always a sucker for a brothers best friend story. Especially when you throw in some hot mafia romance! The journey these two had to take to find their forever was emotional and drama filled, with all the spicy spice! Loved this series!!.

After reading Scarlet Vows by Kira Cole I couldn't wait to read the next book. Scarlet Promise did not disappoint. It picked up right where book 1 left off with Alina kidnapped by someone Ilya thought he could trust. Betrayal has severe consequences when Ilya and Alina's brother Demyan will have to work together to get her back. However getting her back will not be the only battle they face when her brother learns of their deceit. He will never forgive Ilya lying to him and considers this an act of disrespect. What happens when they learn Alina is now pregnant? Amazing story!

This is Book 4 in the Yegorov Bratva Series by this author. It is the conclusion to the heartfelt romance between IIya and Alina which began in Scarlet Vows. These flawed but likeable characters, the strong connection, the sizzling chemistry, and the unique plot make for an entertaining read. Their love story ends with more drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, danger and suspense, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters. An emotional page turner.

Take a deep breath and dive back into Ilya and Alina's awesome bratva world of love, passion, intrigue and kidnappings..throw in a huge dose of Alina's brother Demyan's stubborn temper and loads of that cute, smart lil Alfred. Kira Cole keeps her foot well and truly on the writing accelerator here..and I just love how she ties it all up with fab epilogues!
I would give this whole series more than 5 stars if I could.

It is rare when the second book in a duet is as good, if not better than, the first book. In the case of Scarlet Promise, all I can say is wow, I loved it. Ilya and Alina's story continues with such a powerful storyline. I loved seeing Demyan in this book. The plot was heavy on drama, action, and spice; all characters lived up to their previous potential, and I adored the relationship between them all. Already one of my favorite series.

I have loved every book so far in the Yegorov Bratva series. Danger is following Ilya and he wants his love Alina to be safe, so he allows Alina's brother to drag her back home. Demyan, Alina's brother, is having a tough time accepting that Ilya and Alina's marriage is a reality and not a fake one. Ilya and Alina still have to fight against Demyan. This book was very exciting to read.

This second book picked up right where the first left off. Emotions are all out there. Brother vs. sister. Best friend vs. Best friend. Wife vs. husband (MFC’s brother). Bratva vs. Melor. And through all, Albert is the favorite character. I love how Ilya and Alina love each other. How patient Ilya is with her brother.
This is just an all around great second half!.

Book 4 of Yegorov Bratva had me on pins and needles the entire time. Ilya and Alina just couldn't catch a break. Demyan really got on my nerves in this book. Omw ....totally loved this and the relationship between Alina and Ilya, and not forgetting Albert.

Full of love, drama and action.

When Alina decides to marry Ilya is out of the goodness of her heart. It's also to prevent guys from hitting on her.

But after that one kiss sparks fly for both of them, with each realizing the love they feel for each other.

I also enjoyed the reaction from Alina brother Demyan when he finds out about the his sisters marriage and pregnancy .
