So update i read the book and he didnt die ahah
i have no idea how this review got 300+ like i honestly dont know ahah anyways i should talk more about the book but im not really in the mood to do it ahah all i can say that i liked it, a couple of things were a little obvious to predict that would happen like the eight thing, they woulndt carry his body during half of the book just to bury it but oveall i liked it.

P.s. i actually think i like five, never thought id say this after fall of five

Hi. Um, excuse me, but I need directions to August 2014 urgently. Can you point the way? Someone? Anyone? *crickets*

Oh. Nobody to talk to but the brick wall. Guess I'll start chalking up my guesses and speculations!

Title Possibilities: (spoilers based on previous entries here...)

* The End of Seven
* The Fight for Ten
* The Ghost of Eight

Edit #1: All wrong, as of now. The title is The Revenge of Seven, and if it means what I think it means, I think I will have a new favorite book of 2014 by the time August or September rolls around. Marina, you officially have my blessing to raise Holy Lethal-Icicle-Hell on Five for his assclownery.

* Air theme (clouds, sky, etc.) Seriously, we need an air-based cover already!
* Or possibly a plant theme. We've already had sand and metal, but this facet of "earth" has yet to be covered.
* The above is confirmed. Awesome!

Potential Plot Directions:

* Five may never have been in his right mind - perhaps he was brainwashed by Setrakus Ra? Or worse...maybe he WAS Setrakus Ra! Either way, may he kneel on a big rock to accept the Holy Lethal-Icicle-Hell punishment Marina must serve his way, even though it's not nearly enough retribution for killing off Eight before he could really grow into his own awesomeness.
* Setrakus Ra was almost certainly the tenth Elder, banished for being a bastard...which explains his Loric characteristics. My guess is the real reason why the Mogs are finding it so tough to reproduce now is because Ra tried to procreate with them, and the Loric and Mog genes reacted badly together, creating the monstrosities we've come to recognize as Mogs today.
* Another major death will happen. My hope: Five finally sees the light and sacrifices himself to save the rest of the Garde. But probably it'll be someone more nicer, like Malcolm, because after the last book, who knows just how cruel Lore/Mr. Frey will be.
* Related to the above: Five may well have been Ra's heir all along, and if he dies, he'll settle on Ella as a backup plan.
* Or...Ella will be the heir to Pittacus Lore. And why not? I seriously can't be the only one not seeing the parallels between Ella and Angel. Next thing we know, Ella too will be hitting the genetic jackpot! This of course makes it much more urgent that the rest of the Garde get her back immediately.
* And again related to the above three: (here my brain's pretty much bouncing ideas off itself at this point) Ella will be the one who causes whatever major death happens in this book, and the sixth book will be the Garde's mission to get her back and fix her. Then book seven (I'm hearing there may well be one now!) will be the one where they finally defeat Setrakus Ra and return to Lorien!

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go hunting for a time machine. If I find one I'll invite you to help me try it out. In the meantime, I need to learn to draw so I can sketch out the budding image of a dark, avenging-angel version of Marina that's filling my head. Damn, but how the girl's changed since book 2. I remember when Fear first came out, Michael Grant said Astrid-haters would love her by the end (and was he right!) Now I hope Marina gets the same treatment too.

God, I'm just uncontrollably fanboying over Marina for some reason, isn't I? Stop judging me! Stop judging me! Just help me find the bloody time machine already!

Edit #2: And so I've read it. And so it was awesome. The Holy Shit Quotient was higher than ever. One major gripe, though - the title is actually pretty misleading. Marina doesn't get much revenge. She doesn't even get a POV, for the first time since Book 2. Instead, the POV's are given to John, Six, and Ella.

But still, this book was horrifyingly amazeballs. Things that happened include:

* No major deaths, surprisingly. I saw a line about Malcolm being mortally wounded, but then a couple pages later he's still alive. Mr. Frey, you need to edit that.
* #EightLives! Well, sort of.
* Five starts finally redeeming himself, as does Agent Walker. Wow, Agent Walker. She's so funny now.
* My old Fix ship is deader than ever, because it's (very, very, very) strongly implied that Sam and Six did the do off-screen. Now, while I'm sad that Four only has eyes for Sarah now, I accept that the Fix situation that was set up in Book 2, while it was heavy on potential, I was only rooting for it just to prove Henri's theory about one love, forever, wrong. I am, however, very surprised that Sam was the first one to lose his virginity, if what was so strongly suggested actually happened (Agent Walker's delightfully snarky comments only hammered it home further.) Maybe 'cause he was the nerd of the group. But then again, John is a total boy scout, and Nine, awesome though he may be, has a horrible track record with girls, so...
* They're not gonna revive Lorien on Lorien, but on Earth. And it all starts with the spread of Legacies to humans. The very end, when Sam gets telekinesis - holy shit indeed, dude. Excrementum sanctum, in the words of Austin Szerba.
* And meanwhile, the apocalypse has begun. And it all starts with Setrakus Ra, who is in fact Ella's ancestor, pretty much getting all the government higher-ups to do Mog plastic surgery that leaves them all disgusting and decayed unless they keep getting the treatment. I think it's official - Setrakus Ra is proof positive that ordinary mortals aren't meant to be gods.

Not yet, anyway.
* And I really hope Sarah's okay. She spent most of the book away from the action, but I bet she'll be back for the next one.


Okay, that's done.

Nobody's found the time machine yet? 'Cause now I wanna jump ahead to August 2015 for the sixth (and almost certainly final) book.

Ok just finished this book and I am seriously pissed by the ending! SAM!? HE DESEVERED TO HAVE THAT PIKEN RUN HIM OVER BUT NO INSTEAD HE GETS SOMETHING ELSE! WHY CAN'T THE HUMANS DIE AND LET THE LORIC LIVE THEIR LIVES! I CAN JUST FEEL THAT I AM NOT GOING TO BE THRILLED WITH THE LAST BOOK! Reading this I was under the impression this was the last book and I am very thrilled to know now that there will be one more! Can I just say that I seriously feel like Pittacus Lore took a serious cop out with what happened to Sam in the end. I was prepared to face the death of at least two major characters in this book considering I thought it was the last book and I figured Malcolm Goode would die and maybe Adam and I could live with Malcolm dying and I'd be sad over Adam but I was hoping that Sam or Sarah would die and it seems I was not blessed by Lorien.

I am seriously hoping that at the end of the last book the fallen Garde return. I would love for Marina to have a happy ending, I ship Seven and Eight so hard. I also want Adam and One together because I just feel like that would be perfect. Two and Three I just fell in love with in the brief time I had with them in the Fallen Legacies novella. I thought that the spirit of Lorien would restore them in this book and then they'd all ban together and take down Setrakus Ra but no such luck.

I am trying not to post any spoilers on here but OH MY GOD I CAN'T WITH SAM AT THE END! I know I already said this but I am trying to stress how much I JUST WANT TO PICK HIM UP WITH TELEKINESIS AND HURL HIM INTO A MOGADORIAN WARSHIP AND SIMULTANEOUSLY TAKE HIM AND THE SHIP OUT! Was so glad that Sarah had a different role in this book and I wasn't completely annoyed by her and Four, I refuse to call him by his Earth name, drooling over each other every chapter.

OK AND WHAT THE HELL WITH THE POVs!? In the last books we got the POV of Seven and considering this book is called THE REVENGE OF SEVEN I was under the impression we'd have her POV and all the emotions she's experiencing after the loss of her love but nope! Not too mad because we had Four, Six, and Ella but a couple from Seven's POV would've been nice. The last book though...it's going to be such an emotional rollercoaster.

I just need to know that I'm not alone out here in this world. Was anyone else crying when Eight was killed? From the start I didn't trust Five and at the end...complete and total emotional mess.

I wanted to hold Five down for Seven to kill and then beat Nine within an inch of his life and let Seven heal him and start again because this is all HIS FAULT! Please someone tell me I'm not alone. The Revenge of Seven...I don't know if I can risk putting myself through this again. I mean Eight was CLEARLY Seven's partner and I had everyone paired of, Seven&Eight, Nine&Ten (kind of creepy but Ella insisted), Four&Six (because lets be honest I hope Sarah dies the most brutal death imaginable and takes Sam with her. Sam was fine until he tried to steal Six, now we've got a problem), and then Five could go screw off. But seriously at the start I thought Nine&Six and Five&Ten because Four just LOVES Sarah.
They started as 10 and now there are 6, They caught One in Malaysia, Two in England, Three in Kenya, Eight in Florida, and I hope they catch Sarah and kill her this time.

Anyone else hoping that they accidentally run into one of the Loric at some point in their life? I catch myself looking over my shoulders for Mogs more often then I'd like to admit. I CRAVE THIS BOOK!

I almost not read it. I thought it was the last book of the series. I want to read it on weekend so that I can take my time reading it. But… I really love this series and started reading it and finished it at the same day. It was riveting and I just forgot about everything around me and focused on reading the book. What happened? I didn’t get my chores done and got hungry. I won’t change a thing. I WANT BOOK 6! Tell me it going to be early next year!!! Or you can give it to me now!!!

Lorien Legacy is one of the best YA written ever. It’s every reader’s must-have.
I can’t wait to have the next one! I WANT IT NOW!

• We are going to find out who Setrákus Ra really is. And we are going to find out how he became the leader of the Mogs. It’s a bit shocking but it makes sense. It was like every pieces of the puzzle fell into their places. It just that by the end of the book the picture expands and waiting to be discovered.

• Five is going to have a change of heart. Which I think is cool. Loriens must stick together. I now understand why he is siding to the Mogs. He just wants to survive. (But I still can’t decide what my final judgment to him is. There is still the dream…)

• The gang is going to have a bunch of Chimæra. It so cute. They are kick-ass together when in battle. GRRRR!!! GARDE FOR THE WIN! *shaking pom poms*

I felt this book was dragged. Plus, I had high hopes for the story that it would be wrapped up in the end, but truly it didn't. I was kinda let down by that. What happens in this book is nothing new, except the last part about Six and Seven discover the power in the Sanctuary. I was in awe and thought that this would be really fun in the next book.

For the most part, this book's like ...
John Smith and his friends run.
John Smith and his friends fight back.
John Smith and his friends try to stop Mogs' invasion.
John Smith's nearly killed but he's saved by his fellows.

Fortunately, this book still has humour and it prevented me from getting bored.

“I hear Nine make an oohing noise off to the side and make a mental note to destroy him the next chance I get.”

I was okay with those action parts, though. However, I didn't like Ella's parts as much as I wanted to. Her narration wasn't interesting at all, it lacked of energy unlike Number Nine and Four's. The Revenge of Seven also loses the potential that keeps me excited every time when I pick this series up.

Revenge of Seven started exactly where it ended in Fall of Five and the story develops quickly from there without further recaps of what had happened which would've been boring. Even though it'd been a while since I've finished Fall of Five, I can still understand it without any problem. Ro7 was maintly told by Ella, Six and John alternatively.

Overall, Ro7 was a good read and an easy and fast one at that. But, Revenge of Seven was a bit plain compared to the first four. Not much WAS happening. There was lesser action, which disappointed me though I figured it out that maybe all the action was being saved for the last one in this series. The Garde; still lacking in planning and organizing skills, were still lost just like before, but at least now they have new allies, unlikely ones. I enjoyed Ro7 but I could've enjoyed it more. It wasn't that bad but it could've been better. I hope that the final book, which remains untitled up to now, will come up with a BIGBANG finale. I think the last book in this series would be the longest. In Ro7; questions were still left unanswered, and mysteries were still left unfolded. It would be funny and unbelievable if suddenly the secrets to their success in defeating the Mogs and stopping or winning the war will magically appear in their faces. The Mogs are no doubt 10 steps ahead of the Garde, with their super technology, I wonder why they don't just shoot and destroy Earth instead of finishing off six kids with supernatural abilities.

Lorien Legacies is one of those series where reading the novellas is an essential part of the overall reading experience. I've read all the lost files and it'd help me understand the characters more, specially Adam and Five. And why they came up with the decision they've made.

In Ro7, Adam shadowed John and Nine. In the past books, Four and/or Nine were usually the ones in charge in the decisions the group will be making but in Ro7 it was Adam. Thanks to his excellent hacking and all that technology skills, He was a huge help to the Garde. If not for him, the Garde would still be in the dark by now. It was a huge step for him to eliminate the general (which was also predictable) and at least, it earned him the trust of the Garde.

Ella was taken prisoner, well, guest by the Beloved Leader. It was confirmed that Ella was related to Setrakus Ra and by related we mean they're bonded by blood. It explains all the legacies they both have. And yes, Setrakus Ra was actually the tenth-elder(funny, cause Ella is considered the tenth member of the Garde), he was a Loric and the rest is history. Their bond was something that shocked me. I think the key to Setrakus' fall would be Ella.

Sarah left the group to go help an anonymous blog called They Walk Among Us. It was a good idea to throw her out in the story. She would've just been a liability to Four and to the other members of the Garde. Six and Nine weren't really mentioned in Ro7. They were left out. As for Seven, she was in a broken state in the beginning, still grieving over Eight's death. They found Eight's body and successfully taken it with Five's help. Five, I don't really hate him. After reading The Hidden Enemy, I understood his choices more. I even connected with him. If I was left by a Cepan and told beautiful and hopeful promises I would've trusted them, too.

I don't know if it was just obvious or it was foreshadowed, without me noticing it, about the Humans developing legacies. It was mentioned that the Lorien needs to be just restored and after what happened in the sanctuary... Earth will be Lorien 2.0. Will Sarah and Mark be developing legacies too? But legacies take time to develop and master, that's the only problem because the war or the final battle will be happening soon.

I am still waiting for Pittacus Lore to appear. And help to save the day. The last book is freaking exciting.

UPDATE: COVER

Guys, I must say this, I actually like the cover art design. It's got a really quiet feel to it, and gives off an ironical aura of peace, because we all know that the series is headed deeper into war. The green moss looks vibrant and the symbol is very webby(my word for web-like).

Although...the title is long and looks like it was squeezed in like a deflated orange. And it covers the interesting symbol.

So....everyone think Sarah's gonna do something in this book?

Face it, her character's been tossed around for quite a while. Her design is rather dull on the emotional and inner conflict level.

I think the reason no one really likes her is because no one can relate to her in some ways.

My prediction is that something will come up, and Sarah will do something stupid/smart/interesting/unpredictable.

I also say that Sarah hasn't developed as well as the others by now, and that Pit will have to get rid of her, or start trying to improve her.

(And who thinks that Nine's gonna try to confront Setkarus Ra again?)
(And who thinks that Seven's gonna try to destroy every Mog(expect Adam) for her vengeance?)

Oooh, I think I can already guess the plot direction now.

(Theory: Seven gets revenge. On Five. If this actually happens, I'll write a long page on how titles are not supposed to spoil books like that, and when they do, it's not even funny.)
And I was thinking of the background to be red and dramatic. (Not like the cover of 'I am Number Four'. I was thinking this level of dramatic: Yeah, that level. I'm not kidding either.)

"Pittacus Lore's" The Revenge of Seven

This series is really the gift that just keeps on giving... if you have a fetish for pain, or some unholy drive to punish yourself over and over again. Now, for the record, the biggest complaint about my reviews of these books that I get from fans of this series is that "it's for young adults, not you, so STFU you (insert your favorite expletives and/or insults here)". I call this an opinionated look at this book, because that is what it is. My opinion. And I have it backed up with reasons and explanations as to why I feel as I do. If you wish to make a valid counter argument, please do so. Tell me what you liked about the book. I would really like to know. "It's not for you," is NOT a valid counter argument. It's a not so cleverly veiled "F#*k you." Tell me why you think I'm wrong, give me reasons, don't just tell me I'm an idiot and the book wasn't meant for me, because that is not a valid argument. Those are childish and petty insults that, in no way, tell me anything about why you think the book was good, only that you are too lazy to come up with a real reason for why I am wrong. In my opinion a young adult book should be just as well written out, just as deeply plotted, just as entertaining, and offer just as much to readers of all ages as a book written for adults. And this series is not. This series uses the "eh, it's just for kids" excuse to produce substandard crap. That sort of thinking insults the intelligence of young readers. Younger readers deserve better than this schlock. It SHOULD be well written, but it isn't. The characters SHOULD be likeable, well rounded and well developed, but they're not. The story SHOULD be told well, and with a minimum of mistakes, plot holes and continuity errors, but it isn't. Don't teens deserve to read books that are well written, tell a good story, and about well developed characters? Should none of those things matter because they're younger than I am? Just because it was meant for a target audience half my age does not mean that it should be able to skate by with terrible writing, plot holes by the dozens, eye-rolling dialog, horrible one-dimensional characters, and mindless action. A bad book is still a bad book whoever it was meant for. This book IS something of an improvement over the previous two books in the series, I'll give you that. But does that make it a good book? HELL NO!!! One step up from rock bottom is still pretty damn low.

John, AKA Number Four, and company flee the stronghold in Chicago with their new Mogadorian ally Adam, and set out to do as much damage to the Mogadorian cause as possible. Meanwhile Six, Nine and Seven make their way out of the Florida Swamps and discover a Mogadorian base where they think Eight's body might have been taken after his death in the previous book. And Ella has been taken to Setrakus Ra, leader of the Mogadorians, to be converted to his side. The Mogadorian invasion fleet arrives, and the battle for Earth begins, while several of the numbers set off to a Loric Sanctuary in hopes of reviving the heart of Lorien within Earth itself.

The Good? Things actually happen in this book. When you look at the nothing that happened in book three, and the more nothing that happened in book four, I guess that's something. Some of the biggest problems in those two books arose from there being far too many characters with not enough for them all to be doing, so several of them just sort of fade into the background, and you get long stretches of the books where characters are just standing around, doing nothing at all, or running busy work errands that don't really have much point, but give the appearance of the characters having something to do. This book does not succumb to these problems. All of the characters have something to be doing, and no one really fades much into the background most of the time. There is actually enough going on in this book to justify how many characters, and groupings of characters that there are.

The bad? It's really kind of hard to talk about the problems in this book without repeating what I've said in previous reviews of this series. The authors keep making the same mistakes over, and over, and over again, and there's only so may ways you can say the same things without sounding like a repetitive loser. So I'll just link you to my previous reviews of the series and go over the worst of the worst in this book. I Am Number Four. The Power of Six. The Rise of Nine. The Fall of Five. These authors never really seem to learn, never growing or progressing as writers and improving upon skills, or working on the areas of storytelling and writing in which they're not all that strong. When an author never improves, and keeps making the same mistakes over, and over, and over again, it gives the impression that he doesn't care. That he knows you're going to buy his book regardless of how well it is written, or what happens in it, so he doesn't have to put any real effort into it. And then he just brushes off any criticisms as "eh, it's just for kids." Which, again, it is my opinion that books for young adults should be just as deep, well constructed, and well written as books for adults, and they should be something that adults can sit down and enjoy just the same. This book isn't. It's an insult the the intelligence of anyone who picks it up, because it assumes that young means stupid, and incapable of distinguishing good writing and storytelling from bad.

This book is TERRIBLY written. It's just god-awful. The authors have a really huge problem with being overly cheesy and melodramatic. All of the dialog is just horrendous. There is no one on earth that talks like these people. When dialog isn't natural, a reader can spot it pretty easily. And when it's this bad, I've talked to people who love this series that say they were rolling their eyes over how bad it is in this one. It's not really all that hard to write natural sounding dialog. Go to a public place and listen to how people talk to each other for a few hours. Read it aloud to yourself once you're done. ANYTHING. I mean, the soap operas my sister watches nonstop have better written dialog than this book. There are plot holes like you wouldn't believe, and as I mentioned in my last few reviews of books in this series, the backstory is very fluid. It changes to fit the needs of any particular scene, whether or not it has supported what is going on at the moment before.

This book is called "The Revenge of Seven". The inside flap has Seven talking about how she will have her revenge. There is not a single chapter in this book that is from her point of view. She is probably the character that contributes the least to the plot of the book. She barely even speaks. And she does not do anything that can even remotely be considered revenge. False advertising much?

The book just sort of ends. It's the middle of an action scene. Things are blowing up all over the place... and it just ends, right in the middle of it with no warning whatsoever. Nothing was accomplished. Nothing was progressed to the next level. It just ended in the middle of an action scene so people would buy the next book to see how the scene ends. I always hate it when an author resorts to a cheap cliffhanger instead of a decent climax that visibly moves the story along to the next stage for the next book. It always gives the impression that the author doesn't have faith in himself, and has to resort to gimmicks to sell his next book. When things either don't build to a satisfying climax, or that climax is cut off in the middle for the sake of a lame cliffhanger ending, it cheapens the entire story.

Nothing that the villain does makes any sense at all. There's no logic behind any of his actions or plans. He doesn't do anything for any real reason except that he's the bad guy, and bad guys do bad things. There's no motive for literally ANY of his actions. He has no reason to be doing any of this. When a villain is evil just for the sake of being evil, it's another sign of bad writing. No one is evil just because. Real people have motives. They have reasons for doing the things that they do. They don't just do things because the plot of the story they happen to be part of requires it of them. They don't just say "I'm going to kill all of you because reasons... BWAAHAAHAAHAA!!!" His past is somewhat delved into during this book, and there's nothing there to really give any reasons for all of the things that he has done, and is doing. Is it so much to ask that the villain of the story actually be a well rounded character? Well, none of the other characters in this series are, so why should the authors start now?

The Ugly? Okay, I've ranted about the characters in this series in pretty much every review I've written for it so far. So I'll give you the short version this time. I hate them. I hate them all. Pretty much every single character in this series has done something to make me hate them in one way or another. I've long since begun rooting for the bad guys. I want THEM to win. I will admit that the sheer douchebaggery of many of the characters seemed to be turned down a few notches in this book, but it's too little too late. These characters have already been ruined for me. They've all proven themselves to be horrible people that I just don't even care if they succeed or not. The tension and drama in a story come from caring about the characters, wanting to see them overcome all adversity, and triumph in the end. When you don't care about the characters, or worse, actively dislike them, any story built up around them is going to be terrible.

Uhg, the dialog. I know I already talked about how bad the dialog is in this book, but it was so bad that it deserves to be mentioned in both the "bad" and "ugly" sections of this review. Good GOD, have these writers never had a real conversation with anyone in their entire lives? Have they ever met teenagers and listened to them speak to one another? It was really THAT bad.

Pittacus Lore is an idiot. Well, yes, okay, that can be applied to the authors of the book in their assumed name, but I mean the actual character in the book. Okay, so, the plan was to send nine kids with the legacies and crap to Earth to revive the Heart of Lorien within Earth? Okay... WHY DID HE NOT TELL A SINGLE ONE OF THE EIGHTEEN PEOPLE SENT TO EARTH WHAT THE PLAN WAS OR HOW TO ACCOMPLISH IT!?!?!? They learned about the Sanctuary FROM THE BAD GUYS!!! If he was all wise and crap like people keep going on, and on, and on, and on about, you'd think he'd have planned just a LITTLE bit better... like at least to the point of including ANY of the people participating in the plan WHAT THE ACTUAL PLAN IS!!! Faith is cool and all, and so is being all mysterious and crap... but when the entirety of your race, your way of life, and all life in the freaking universe for that matter is at stake... you think maybe mysterious and vague might NOT be the way to go? That's not wisdom. That's arrogance and presumption. I mean, as if every other character in the freaking book wasn't completely unbearable already, now characters that aren't in the book have to be unbearable too?

The first line of the book plagiarizes Dragnet word for freaking word. Not only is it stealing from other, FAR better writers, it sounds completely stupid when used here. For shame.

All in all, this book is an improvement over the previous two books in this series, but not enough of an improvement for me to call it a good book. I would say that it is probably the second best book in the series to date, behind the first book, which was my favorite thus far. The writing itself has actually gotten worse than it was in the previous book, and the dialog is just plain painful. There are numerous plot holes and inconsistencies with the other books in the series. However, the characters are nowhere near as annoying or awful as they have previously been shown to be, and things actually happen in this book after two books of absolutely nothing going on. I believe that fans of the series will love this book, however, if you're not really into it, you're probably going to hate it. Of course, this being book five, if you weren't really into it, you probably would have stopped reading long before now. Despite being better than the previous two books, it's still horribly written schlock, with eye-rollingly bad dialog, terrible characters, and the story is not very well structured, coming to a very abrupt end. Despite being an improvement, it still has a lot wrong with it.

I really enjoyed this book. What it lacked in action it made up for in revelations and secrets. Despite being 371 pages the book is so fast passed that they just seem to fly by. I am sure a fast reader could probably finish the book in a day. The book is written from the first perspective of 4 (John Smith), 6 (who has still not taken a name than her number), and Elle. The think is from everything I read about the book including the back page I was expecting 7 (Marina) to take the centre stage she is still a huge part of the book but never takes over the narration which is a strange choice as she suffered the greatest trauma in the last book. I am really impressed with John's step up into the leadership role. He is making hard decisions which a couple of books ago would have sent him whining about how life is so unfair.

The story; the grades are once again divided into two teams in the last book the team was betrayed and ambushed in Florida, and 9's penthouse was ambushed leaving one member captured, John, Sarah, Sam, Malcolm, and Adam on the run. After the betrayal of one of their own can the grades really trust Adam? Also we find out how high up the "ProMog" conspiracy goes. After seeing thing first-hand the even former enemies come to be allied with the Loric, but more with humanity. However is this all too little too late as the Mog have been planning this moment for year the grades have been on the run, and with unlimited resources and space age technology at their disposal. The Loric will have to try for more Divine help. What was the elders plan for them all?

Great book as soon as I finished I wanted more. There are some back up and stories running alongside this book in the lost files. I can't wait of the next book, I can see all-out war.

The story didn't just end like that, did it??? That's just so unfair...I thought I was only starting to read the climax of the story and then BAM!!! it ends??? I didn't even see which part of the story gives the book a reason to have that title. What am I supposed to do now? :,(

Also, I couldn't help but be bothered about why Ella (the youngest of the Garde) is the most eloquent of all three narrators (John and Six are the other two.) It felt like reading the story from a Cepan when the narrator is a 12 year old girl.

Basically, the above mentioned are my only problems about the book because do I still have to say what's obvious??? Of course, I enjoyed the book!!! :)

What I want to happen in The Revenge Of Seven is:
Five dies
Sarah realizes she doesn't like four anymore and falls for Sam instead
John is broken hearted but then six confesses to John how much she loves him and vise versa then they kiss
John and six both develop an AWESOME legacy like bringing back the dead and they bring back 1,2,3,8, the 10 elders his father and mother ect.

So, things I want to happen in this book:

- Adam POV, people. I cannot express how much I love Adam POV. His character is the best developed out of all of the characters in my opinion. So, Adam POV. It speaks for itself.

- Ella to be rescued. I don't know how I'll cope if Ella loses her innocence. And please, please, please don't let the vision actually happen...

- Marina being a badass. It needs happen people. There are a few things that turn people badass, and the thing that happened at the end of FoF *gulp* is definitely one of those things. Eight... My Navrina... :(

- Sam and Malcolm bonding.

- Awesome Chimaera action scenes. It speaks for itself. We all just want BK (who I refuse to believe is harmed in any un-healable way) and Dust to meet and be awesome together. Maybe start a rivalry about who is the best chimaera. Ooh, ooh, what if they're like brothers or something?! PLOT TWIST! :D Or maybe Dust is actually a girl! Or maybe I have an overactive imagination...

- I think Pittacus will kill someone else just to troll us... don't know who but Nine is most likely from what I can tell. Let's just say I will lose my will to live if that happens. (Six, Five and Ella were in the vision, and Marina and Four both have the main POV's)

- Something important will happen regarding Marina at some point during the series. I can't say if it will be in this one or the next one but she was mentioned in IaNF, and has had a POV in all of the books since then. So, anyone have any ideas for a Marina themed plot twist Pitt will throw at us?

So! We have a title! The Revenge of Seven!

I've known the title since the day it was released (thank you to tumblr, which I am known to never leave), but I'm a lazy person and didn't update this review.

So - The Revenge of Seven... I can see straight away that Marina is definitely going to go through some dramatic character development. Which was actually one of my predictions (I may have worded it differently) and man I am so hyped up for this book!

This book is definitely one hell of a roller coaster! It is non stop right from page one and only ramps up the farther along into it you get and I absolutely loved it! And with all the devastating twists thrown in, I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through!

By now I've really gotten attached to all the Lorics and really grown to love them! They're each so unique, not only because of their Legacies but also personality wise and it's really great having such an eclectic mix of characters. They worm themselves into your heart and by this point, I'm totally smitten and cheering them on as I read!

There's some pretty sad and shocking moments in this book and they hit pretty hard! I won't mention specifics because I don't want to spoil it but a few scenes definitely tore my heart into pieces! There were also a few reveals that had my mind reeling with shock and disbelief!

I know I keep saying it, but this series really gets better and better as it goes on! And in this book in particular there's a lot of set up for the final two books in the series and it has me absolutely dying to know how it's all going to play out!

Πιστεύω όμως ότι σιγά σιγά πήρε τα πάνω του σαν βιβλίο. Ειδικά το τέλος μου άρεσε πολύ. Ειλικρινά δεν περίμενα αυτή την εξέλιξη, όταν ξεκίνησα το βιβλίο σκεφτόμουν ότι αυτή η σειρά κάπου με έχει κουράσει. La historia no acabó así, ¿verdad? Eso es tan injusto ... ¡Pensé que solo estaba empezando a leer el clímax de la historia y luego BAM! ¿¿¿termina??? Ni siquiera vi qué parte de la historia le da al libro una razón para tener ese título. ¿Qué se supone que debo hacer ahora? :,

Además, no pude evitar preocuparme por el hecho de que Ella (la más joven de las Garde) es la más elocuente de los tres narradores (John y Seis son los otros dos). Sentí como si leyera la historia de un Cepan cuando el narrador es una niña de 12 años.

Básicamente, lo anterior son mis únicos problemas con el libro porque todavía tengo que decir lo que es obvio. Por supuesto, disfruté el libro !!!

Esta es una serie de ciencia ficción YA. Es difícil pero hay algunos problemas que me han afectado a lo largo de la serie. Dos de los más grandes son el diálogo y las oportunidades perdidas con la construcción mundial y el desarrollo del carácter. Con tantos personajes estrechamente vinculados entre sí, hay muchos lugares donde la información adicional se puede rodar... pero no lo es.

En general, me gusta la premisa de esta serie. Solo estoy teniendo dificultades con la ejecución. Tiendo a ser más indulgente con los libros de YA, pero eso puede estar desgastando un poco. Así que 4 estrellas, principalmente para los personajes.

Just finished the book.

Still maniacally grinning over the last few paragraphs:

"With a massive WOOMF, a wave of telekinetic force hits the Piken and knocks it into the air. The beast's muscular legs flail wildly. It lands back-first on top of a stop sign, the pole impaling the beast right through the heart.
That didn't come from me.
I lower the couple safely to the ground, toss the fire escape aside and turn in the direction the telekinetic blast came from.
Sam stares at me. He's frozen. His hands are extended out in front of him like he just shoved the Piken and still hasn't finished with the follow-through. Slowly, he blinks his eyes. Sam looks down at his hands, then over at me.
"Holy ----," he says. "Did I just do that?""

END OF BOOK FIVE

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

This is worse than The Fall of Five. I didn't think anything could be worse than that ending with the nightmarish vision. But I have discovered it.

It's the COMPLETELY AWESOME THING THAT HAPPENED TO ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS AND YOU DON'T GET TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!!
Okay. Deep breaths. Deeeeeep breaths.
I'm still grinning like a maniac.
But seriously. OH MY GOSH! REGULAR HUMANS HAVE LEGACIES. SAM HAS LEGACIES. SARAH COULD HAVE LEGACIES. MALCOLM COULD HAVE LEGACIES.

AAAAAAAAAAHHH!

Okay, for the rest of this review I will try not to scream.

But really. I got chills when I read this part near the end:

""Okay," I say, wanting to be gentle with her, but not sure we have time for this. "And?"
Marina grins at me. "It's spreading, Six. Through the Earth. It's spreading everywhere."
"What does that mean?" Adam asks.
"It means," Marina says, wiping her face and standing up straight, "that we aren't alone anymore.""

The author, I think, had many genius ideas in this book.

1: Ella being Setrákus Ra's granddaughter. I mean, that is a whole new plot twist. And the Mogadorian charm he put on her so Ella's the only one that can defeat him... Aaahh!

2: Adam. The whole concept of Adam is awesome. A Mogadorian who became... Friends? Bonds? (I don't really have the right word) with another Garde in his MIND, and she gave him a Legacy that she would never use!!! Cool! And Adam helped them out of several sticky situations, where they needed some Trueborn authority.

3: Five becoming an ally. I think an ally would be the best word to describe Five's relationship with the rest of the Garde. Five doesn't want to be on anyone's side. He's just looking out for himself. He doesn't want to fight, as much as Nine or someone else does. And (as much as I am mad at him for kind-of-accidentally-killing-Eight) I have to respect him for that. I think I've come to more peace with Eight being dead in this book. Also, having a year between books to steam and fume in your head helps with figuring stuff out. But anyways, I do like how Five's become an ally of the rest of the Garde.

4: The Sanctuary. All of the Chests make so much more sense now. I had had no idea when the author was going to have the time to have them figure out each separate stone, gem, twig, or miscellaneous item in each of the Chests. And all of the talk since the first book about reawakening Lorien makes more sense. I was expecting a final book of a bunch of heroic battles, they defeat Setrákus Ra, book ends, epilogue of them restarting Lorien after the space trip and joy for all. Which would have been okay with me, I've been expecting that since I Am Number Four. But this idea I love SO much more. It shows that the real spirit of Lorien is truly resistant, it can manifest into any planet. Sarah, Malcolm, and Sam don't have to make the agonizing decision over whether to stay on Earth with their lives, or go to Lorien to restart it. This is awesome, so I won't cry over any sad goodbye scene. (Yes, I do these things.). And this also brings me to my final This Author Made This Book The Best In The Series Idea:

5: HUMANS GET LEGACIES. I was wondering what was going to happen once Six, Adam, and Marina did the ritual thingie at the Sanctuary. And it was awesome. I mean, who doesn't love this new development? (Okay, someone out there probably doesn't.) I've been cheering for Sam and Sarah since Book 1, watching them hold their own when they don't have the superpowered advantages their friends do. Okay, I don't know that Sarah has Legacies. I'm hoping. I know Sam does though, so I'll go from there. In The Power of Six, he made this comment: "God, I wish I had Legacies," when John and Six are practicing. And he finally got them. (Yay!)

Okay, Marina was much tougher in this book than any other. I mean, look at the change from Book 2! She was sitting in an orphanage, not doing anything until she was almost 18. But as she said in the inside cover:

"And I finally have the power to fight back."

"I am Number Seven.
I will make them pay."

All in all, I think this book was appropriately named The Revenge Of Seven. Marina got into action, probably started by Eight's death. That's the one thing I'm not happy with: Marina doesn't have Eight anymore. I mean, when they were in Chicago they were so happy, but now... :(:(

Ella was awesome in this book, too. I knew she was resilient, but she held her own while stuck with the Mogs. (Go, Ella!) And I'm glad we finally know what was up with the dart in The Rise of Nine. Ella has Dreynen! She can defeat Setrákus Ra!!!

Okay. One more question.

In I Am Number Four, there was something written about "your last Legacy will be your most powerful." Is that going to be in the next/last book, or did the author forget about it?

Actually, I don't think Malcolm is going to have Legacies. I said that he might earlier, but I'm rethinking it now and he seems more like a Cêpan type to me. I do think that Sarah is going to have Legacies, though I'm not as sure. Okay, I think I'm done for real now (hopefully) Bye:)

[UPDATED] Ok, who wants to kill Five? I know I do! I hate him for what he did to Eight! I'm excited to see what Seven does about it. Also, I wanna see what Nine does. I hope none of them die. Except Five. I know they might need him to save Lorien, but if the others can get Fives chest from the Mogs, then they can TOTALLY kill him! Why isn't the release date sooner?!? August?!? Come on Pittacus Lore!

Nine please don't die. YOU CANNOT DIE!!!!!!! So, I still absolutely hate five, but this idea came to my brain: what if he's been tricking the Mogs into thinking that he was on their side? But then my again, there's Ella's visions... In the excerpt (which I found at the back of Fives Betrayal) Ella was in space!!! With Setrakus Ra!!! I really hope she doesn't turn to their side, I still can't make up my mind on weather she will or not! I think seven might possibly kill five, but he is needed for the survival of Lorien. Maybe they'll take him hostage or something. Then they can kill him. I ship Six and Four, but I also ship Six and Sam. I think Six and Sam might have a thing, and four will stay with Sarah. I'm not exactly happy about that, but at the same time I'm not exactly mad...

Still really liking this series!
I’m interested to see what’s gonna happen in the last two books. It seems like the action has really reached its peak but we haven’t had a conclusion yet, so another book makes sense but two more seems like it might be stretching it out too far? Hopefully that means that there’s some more exciting action in store!

This is the lowest rating book for the Lorien Legacies series I have done. Which is a real shame because I really do love this series. I did like this book and enjoyed reading it, specially the last fifty pages but I didn’t love it like the other books. Hopefully I won’t feel as disappointed in the next book.

This is a YA sci-fi series. It's hard not to like the kids in this, but there are a few problems that have plagued me throughout the series. Two of the biggest ones are dialogue and missed opportunities with world building and character development. With so many characters tightly linked to each other, there are many places where additional info could be rolled in....but it's not.

Overall, I like the premise of this series. I'm just having a hard time with execution. I tend to be more forgiving with YA books, but that may be wearing a little thin. However, it still rules my reviews for this target audience....so 3 stars, mainly for the characters.

How do I feel about the book? Pissed off!
I don't even know who Seven IS. How could this be his/her revenge? Oh, it must be on me for being so stupid to think there was going to be a conclusion.

Ok. It is not over. I know there is another book coming.

I know a lot more than I did before. But. Good grief.
