I don't understand all the great reviews this book received. I thought it was predictable, boring, and corny. It completely lacked substance and the cliches were way too much. To me, this book was a total yawnfest.

This book was a relief. As a writer, it's hard not to critique which takes away the enjoyment of reading. This one did have its flaws but it was the first book I have really enjoyed in a while. 4.5 stars

Cute book, but not one of my favorites. "Finding each other was easy. Holding on was another story." That is the tag line on the cover of the ebook. Just from that, I expected more than what I got. I thought there would be more issues for Bryce and Sophie to deal with beyond the logistics involved in a school teacher dating a country star. While well written, I just felt that there was so much more that could have been done. This did not leave me with a burning desire to read more about this couple or their friends and family.

I like Christian fiction and romance but this book was just too corny. Everything was perfect, even the issues the couple had were small. Everything was so perfect that it got to be boring. There just wasn't enough conflict and the climax seemed non-existent. I also didn't like how Sophie had to be so pure/innocent like. I don't think it was realistic, everyone has sinned and has flaws.

Amazing read

Love this book. Love Sophie and Bryce’s romance story. Bryce is a country musician who found out that he has a daughter that he never knew about. Bryce and Sophie meet when Bryce has to help chase a duck away from her. Sophie does not realize that he is a famous musician. After meeting Sophie, he ends up going back to the spot they met in hopes of catching her. His work pays off when he spots her. He ends up disclosing about how he has been a Christian for a year and how he met his daughter a year ago. He does not disclose who he is until they end up going on their first date. She could not believe she didn’t recognize him. Love how this book captures Sophie and Bryce’s trials in their relationship and how they use their faith to rely on God for their relationship. Worth the read.

In this refreshing romance novel, Leah Atwood has done it again. I enjoyed reading this story set in Louisiana filled with characters who are more like the actual Cajun people I've known. To read about characters who struggle makes the story come to life in a way many romance tales of this length lack. As for the inspirational aspect, the way the characters do their best to live their faith is truly encouraging to watch, even as they go through hardships and wonder which direction they need to go. Overall, this book was one of the better examples of inspirational romance I've read. I'd recommend it to anyone from teens on up who enjoy a good love story.

A wonderful Christian romance. The first meeting of Sophie and Bryce, who is with his daughter is hilarious, with Sophie throwing her book and running from a duck. Bryce is country music's hottest star and pretty wild until he finds out he has a daughter and her mother is dying. That brings about a lot of soul-searching and Bryce is a fairly new Christian. He steps up to his duties as a father while trying to figure out how he can raise his daughter while performing.

Sophie is a school teacher who has always played it safe, never questioning that until her boyfriend of three years breaks up with her. Meeting Bryce is kind of a call to action for her.

I loved how Sophie interacted with Bryce's daughter, and watching her relationship with Bryce grow as they fall in love and figure out how they can work everything out.

The scene where Sophie surprises Bryce is so sweet. Very nice ending.

God's Changes

Bryson's reputation preceded him. He was a wild leader of a band. Then one day God changed his heart and then his life. He met Sophie who was a teacher in a small town. Her long time boyfriend had heartbroken up with her and she had no desire to love again. But.....Bryson was too irresistible and she fell hard. Can different lifestyles make it work?

This book was a fun, light beach style read. It was a little, almost corny in places with the story line or maybe sappy is a better word for it, but sometimes we all need that.

If you are looking for a HEA book without much reality, this one will fit the bill and keep you in a happy place for a bit! It is a good story with cute characters.

Wonderful Romantic Love Story

I like chaste love stories. I sometimes do not like Christian love stories as I do not like or need to be lectured in Bible chapter & verse. This was a perfect balance. The story was more than chapter & verse, but being good Christians was very important to them & their story. I highly recommend this book.

Loving what you do, loving each other, too.

A fabulous Christian romance book from Leah Atwood. I have enjoyed her previous books, but this is the best one so far. A fascinating story line of Sophie, a first grade teacher living a quiet life, falling madly in love with Bryce, a country music star with a wild past. But how can they make a life together?

Refreshing read

It was so nice to read book that shows the change faith can make in lives. I enjoyed getting into the thinking of the characters. I would have liked to read more descriptions of some events and dates. But that lack did not take away from the love story.

This book was real good. It had a lot of bible verses in it. The people went though trails and came out ok. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did.

This book was super cute! Oh my gosh I loved the couple and thought they really complimented each other.

Cons:
Not a lot. There were some misplaced words. Like the word "the" in an awkward place. Ok time for some spoilers *I was sort of hoping that Bryce would quit his career, since it could collapse at any moment and it's not fair to thrust his family in the spotlight and be gone all the time*

Pros
Sophie and Bryce! So cute! It was sort of love at first sight but not in an annoying way. It was understandable. It was described more as a pull than insta-love. So kudos to the author for pulling that off. Also I loved how their relationship was based on honesty! It helped them go through a lot of problems instead of the misunderstanding that takes 10 chapters of the book. I love how Bryce really grew from his past self. It shows that Christians don't have to be perfect but should always be improving. I loved Sophie and found her relatable. The way she reacted to certain things is probably what I'd do too. I loved their relationship and felt it was realistic. They had things to grow from, forgive, and accept. Though I didn't agree with the musician thing, it made it understandable to me. Because a relationship is both ways and both need to accept each others interests but fears also. So a nice balance. I didn't love the ending but I didn't hate it also.

I loved this book! Just trying to read some books on my kindle and added the audible narration. I am sure glad I did! Narrator was awesome. She even sings to music during part of it. The book came alive!

I loved the romance between Sophie and Bryce. It was truly God centered. They did not go overboard on the physical part of the relationship but concentrated on their spiritual relationship instead.. And I found that extremely unique. They prayed and allowed God to handle their relationship and to control their desires until after marriage. There were some kisses but they were well handed. 2 thumbs up to Leah Atwood!
