Blake Hetherington is back, in the first full length novel of the series, 'Model For Murder'

When a serial killer strikes at the heart of Tuesbury, Blake is soon on the case. Aided by enthusiastic archaeologist, Delilah Delibes and her Jack Russell Bertie, Blake is once more on the path of a murderer.

In this tale of voodoo, paganism and deep-rooted traditions, fact and myth merge to blur the line between what is real and what is fiction. Can Blake solve the case or will he become the next victim?

'...funny, endearing, charming and a little bit brutal' - M Pettitt, Amazon Reviewer.

'D.S. Nelson does everything a mystery writer should do: she entertains and informs. ' - J C Bernthal, - Amazon reviewer.

'If you are a fan of the English mystery, add this to your want list.' - Judith Catanzaro - Amazon reviewer.

About The Author:

D S Nelson's introduction to murder came from Agatha Christie. Her inquisitive Miss Marple, of St Mary Mead, and very Belgian Poirot, with his 'little grey cells', captured her imagination from a young age. The intellectual and astute Sherlock Holmes, of Arthur Conan Doyle's detective fiction, is also a clear influence in her writing.

With a passion for cosy murder mysteries, her writing includes cosy crime novelettes, and short stories. She is currently working on the Blake Hetherington series of mystery books, the first of which is 'Hats Off To Murder.'

My introduction to murder came from Agatha Christie. Her inquisitive Miss Marple of St Mary Mead and very Belgian Poirot with his 'little grey cells', captured my imagination from a young age.

There are eight stories in the Blake Hetherington series and all are available via Kindle.

As a storyteller I tell interactive stories and traditional tales. You can find more of my work via www.ddstoryteller.co.uk or via Goodreads Profile - After several years away I've rejoined Goodreads. Come say hello if you're on there too. Think it's going to take me a while to add all the books currently on my shelf though 😆

Turn out to be good

I loved the character of Mr. Hetherington. At first I thought it was going to be a boring story, but turned out to really interesting.

As a fan of Christie and Conan Doyle I really enjoyed this book. Sometimes the story is slow, but it needs to be in order to get every detail on the picture. It starts as something really simple, nothing creepy but as soon as you get past the frist pages the story makes the necessary turns and twists to keep you guessing.

If you are a fan of mystery novels then you will surely enjoy Model for Murder as much as I did. DS Nelso delivers just the right amount of detail and mystery needed to make this a great book!

Blake Hetherington is looking into everyone's heads, trying to solve a new murder in Tuesbury. Armed with pins and needles, he sets off trying to solve a mystery of missing models and murdered people, whilst creating lovely hats for his customers.

If you like Mrs Marple, this amateur sleuth would soon make you take your hat off.
