Un altro racconto per insegnarci fin da bambini che la fretta spesso ci fa trascurare le cose che amiamo di più. Oh, e francamente l'idea di un gatto che si ordina il cibo a domicilio sul computer perché nessuno pensa a lui ma che poi non riesce ad aprire la scatoletta e ha bisogno del piccolo Harry… Questa è letteratura!

Harry Hurry's parents are in such a hurry that they forget to take him to school... Will faithful cat Tiggs be able to save the day? And get his dinner?
A story about modern family life, rushing around and sometimes forgetting what's important. Nicely done, without really saying what the Hurries find so vital all the time, and without overtly criticising them.
It's only a short read, would be a chapter book at bedtime for a few nights. Harry is a good boy, honest, and Tiggs is a particularly smart (and caring) cat.
Nice to see technology being used here (online shopping), alongside a dad knitting and wearing a hat, makes it quaint and modern at the same time. Tony Ross illustrates well as always, with black and white line drawings of the family and pictures on every page.
A lovely little tale, for newly emergent readers to try themselves, or for parents to read to children starting to want longer books, ages 5 or 6 and above.

Quale sarà mai la caratteristica principale della Famiglia Frettini?
Ma certo, sono sempre di fretta. E la fretta, si sa, è spesso cattiva consigliera. A volte, però, sfocia anche in divertenti disavventure.
E il gatto, direte voi?
Il gatto è centrale per la vicenda e si dimostra molto più assennato degli umani che lo circondano!
Divertente, corredato da illustrazioni umoristiche e piacevoli, rapido e ben scritto.
Perfetto da leggere ai bambini dai 5 anni e in lettura anche autonoma per i primi lettori!
Per ridere dei nostri difetti e, magari, provare a cambiare atteggiamento ... e ricordarsi del gatto!

Skaičiau beveik šešiametei. Paprasta istorija apie vaiką, kurio tėvai nuolatos skuba, užtat katinas turi pasirūpinti vaiku vietoj tėvų. Tik kas pradarys jo ėdesio skardinę? Mažai teksto, jis didelėmis raidėmis, tad tinka mokytis skaityti. Daug iliustacijų, tad knyga puikiai išlaiko dėmesį vaikų, kuriems sunkiai pavyksta susikaupti ir išklausyti ilgesnį teksto gabalą.

2.5/5 with its humorous, repetitive story this is a good introduction to short chapter books for younger readers aged 6+ The creative plot and accessible text combined with the funny illustrations, clever cat and happy ending make this a super option for emerging readers who want to challenge themselves and tackle longer texts.

È stata una lettura davvero dolce, che invita il giovane lettore assieme ai suoi genitori, di prendersi il proprio tempo per passare del tempo in famiglia così da non dimenticarsi di nessuno.
Qui il gatto è il più autosufficiente di tutta la famiglia Frettini, ho amato Tigre che si prende cura della sua famiglia e di quanto dolce sia alla fine il rapporto con Harry.
La trovo una lettura perfetta non solo per un pubblico molto giovane, ma anche per gli adulti che hanno voglia di staccare e godersi quei 10 minuti di lettura per stare bene con sé stessi, strappandosi un sorriso.
Davvero consigliata!

Libro molto carino, con grandi illustrazioni in bianco e nero. La storia si legge facilmente e in poco tempo. Il gatto di cui si parla è molto spassoso. I padroni non immaginano nemmeno che cosa pensa o che cosa durante la loro assenza...È un racconto simpatico, adatto a bambini dalla seconda alla quinta elementare.
