Daughters of the Sea #4.5

Eventide: The Reclamation Of Fallon

Rate this book
The age-old balance of light and dark will always find a way to be restored. At times it comes in the form of non-discriminate karma or the heavy hand of divine will. At other times that balance comes in the form of a single, teenage girl.

My name is Fallon. I am different. I am special. My essence moves in a cadence unknown to the other Auras at the House of Eventide. It was born of the intricate dance of the moon's opposing forces; retract and advance, embrace and release. The brazen energy of the sun preys at the edges of my being; fraying its delicate balance and scorching my heart into submission. Only under the calming cover of night, can my essence shine freely.

My true identity must be kept secret at all costs. My very existence is a threat to the Aura Order I pretend to be a part of. Should my web of lies unravel, they would stop at nothing to destroy me. I am the sole descendant of the light moon goddess, Luna . I have been Chosen. This is my story.

I am a southern belle at heart with a crazy streak that desperately tries to escape at every opportunity. I love all things nostalgic, rustic, and quirky. I've been told I see the world through rose-colored glasses, but I prefer to think of them as kaleidoscope glasses - swirling and morphing reality into something I can digest (who hasn't pretended those pasty lima beans were really kiwi strawberry jelly beans?).

I am the author of the DAUGHTERS OF THE SEA series, which includes FORSAKEN, AWAKEN, CHOSEN, HEARKEN, PROVEN (2014).I love all books, but really enjoy writing young adult, paranormal romances. I've loved to write for as long as I can remember. My first published work was my poem RED in second grade (you guessed it - it was a poem about the color red - life altering, I know) that won me 5 gold stars and a spot in my elementary school's poetry book. That's when my addiction to the written word officially began. I was the only kid in fifth grade that actually enjoyed diagramming sentences. Go ahead and laugh - its okay.

When I'm not writing I'm making jewelry, painting, drinking sweet tea, watching the discovery channel, or going on random adventures in the mountains of North Carolina with my amazing husband.

Loved it! I was so glad we got to see Fallon and see her point of view. And then to have Achillies brought in. Even better. This book is pure perfection. I wished it could have been longer. I didn't want it to end.

Julian is like every girls dream in a gay best friend, "Julian was particularly interested in that part. "You've been hiding this from me this whole time?" He circled me like a shark getting ready to attack. "Do you know what my skills could do with this kind of canvas?!" Finn I hate to say this buddy but you got some competition with Sebastian, "contracting an STD isn't really on the docket for me tonight, doll," Sebastian contemplated sarcastically, before smiling widely at me. "I have other plans...with Fallon." This is a great backstory and introduction to Fallon and her story I can't wait to see what happens next in the full length novel.

Whoa -- who would have thought Fallon was such a bada$$?
Fallon was an interesting character for me in book 4, Hearken, and I found that I wanted to know more about her and her story. I love that her story is told in a novella companion piece, and that it runs concurrently with the events unfolding in Hearken, because you are able to see all of the reasons for her seemingly quirky actions. Fallon's banter with Sebastian is hilarious, and I enjoyed getting a glimpse into more of his life as well.

This is Fallon's POV wrapped up in her own Novella to tell us a little bit about her background at Eventide. It was a quick read and help me understand what the Eventide's were about as well and why she was born to help in the Daughters of the Sea.

This is a great series to read.

I chose this rating because this book was way to short. I felt like the book had just got going good and then it ended. Now I have to go find the next book. Not happy.

Nice

Short back story for Fallon probably taking place more around AWAKEN than HEARKEN as Anastasia has only just returned and hasn't become her Goddess self yet. It was short though.

I was glad to see more light shed on Fallon and Sebastian. This book provides more of a back story for the characters that was omitted from Book 4. This is a great series.

I fell into this series from the very beginning. I am reading every book to find out what happens at the end.
