The world burns—and Seraphina stands amidst the embers, unyielding. Shadows coil at her feet, whispering promises of ruin. Blood stains her hands, loss scars her heart, but the fire in her veins refuses to die.
Steel is her salvation. War, her only future. And Kade—the storm to her wildfire—the tether she cannot sever.
When darkness comes to claim them, they will rise together. Blade. Fury. Fire. Until nothing remains.
Perfect for fans of fantasy, heart-wrenching battles, and slow-burn loyalty, Embers of the Fallen is a haunting tale of survival, sacrifice, and the bonds that refuse to break.
A great debut novel! And knowing the timeline of its creation - insane effort! I loved this book. I admit, I got a little lost in the middle but that’s the joys of world building. Another read through will help me pick up what I missed! The world and characters definitely came to full fruition at the end and that cliffhanger!? Whew. Bring on the next book!
I wanted to love this, I really did. But it reads like someone got hold of a thesaurus and needed to make up a word count. Somethings are over described repeatedly, while there are inconsistencies in other areas, sometimes even on the same page. I.e eye colour of a demon changes, a fire going out but burning brightly in the next paragraph, escaping a dungeon but some how have a pack full of supplies, with salves and bandages?
The premise of the book seems great, and it would be interesting to see how it goes. It might have to be a book I come back too down the track. At the moment, I can't push through.
