Dress Up Day by Tina Marie Kaht is a fun children’s books that show a child some of the things they can do when they “grow up”. It encourages a child to use their imagination to see where it takes them. Many grown-up jobs are explored and discussed, with some ideas of what it would be like to do that job. It tells about some of the fun stuff a child could do while performing the job. After reading the book to my granddaughter, we talked about some things she might like to be when she grows up. It was a great way to start this conversation with her. In my opinion, any book that helps promote a discussion after reading it is a good book.

The writing is very age-appropriate and the words used are ones that a young child will understand. The book was just the right length and didn’t lose my granddaughter’s attention. The illustrations are top-notch, very bright and vivid. They added a lot to the story.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading to the child in their life. This book would make a great addition to a school, preschool or home library. This is the second book I’ve read to my grandchild by this author and both were equally good.

Young children dress in different outfits and pretend that they are who they are dressed as.

The idea and the art is cute. The writing is sweet and short. It is a very simple book and easy for kids to relate to.

Some of the writing rhymes and sometimes it does not but it tries to. Some sections are kinda clunky.

I think little kids ages 3 to 8 will absolutely enjoy this. It would be nice to read to kids and encourage them to learn about different jobs and maybe show them what each worker does.

Let your imagination run free

As you grow up you need to dream. It won’t be long until you’re an adult. You had fun as a kid, and should have as fun when you work. How? Easy! Live the dreams you had as a kid!

Mom has decided she will take down all the bins so we could celebrate dress up day. I was afraid when I saw the first dress up idea---that of a princess, this might turn out to be a stereotypical book. Far from it, the author portrays boys and girls of many cultures and backgrounds. They are planning so many careers, farming, flying, teaching, fireman, chef, builder, scientist....I could go on and on. The text is written in rhyme and the author presents interesting scenarios for each profession. At the end of the day, mom reinforces the fact that she will be proud of any person the child chooses to be.

Illustrations are bold, colorful and clever. Text is rhythmic and enjoyable for young children, yet challenging enough for the beginning reader. Makes a great read aloud and starting point of discussion for career possibilities.

INTERESTING BOOK WITH GREAT ILLUSTRATIONS FOR CHILDREN

Children always seem to dream about what they want to be or do when they are older. This book was a big hit with our 3-1/2 year old granddaughter and our 7 year old grandson who loves to read to his sister. This rhyming story is clear and easily understandable to younger children and the illustrations are lively and.very relatable to the theme and to a bit older child as well. The book got the children talking about their futures and that is so enjoyable for a grandparent. Our granddaughter especially is looking forward to getting more books by these authors and illustrator.

Dress Up Day
Cover Art: Eye-Catching

Imagination is an important ingredient for learning and life! `Dress Up Day' by Tina Marie Kaht brings to life the importance of early childhood dreams and ambitions; it inspires kids to embrace possibilities and anticipate the future with a positive "Yes, I Can" attitude. But while Tina encourages kids to dream about the future and think of the many options available to them, she also reminds them to celebrate WHO they are today.

Wonderful life lesson. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Also, go to Tina's library and grab GRANDPARENTS' DAY!!

Dress Up Day
Children's book showing a little girl and it's dress up day as she goes about not only dressing up but other facts about the person she has dressed up.
Favorite is the farmer who she shows what kind of work she'd be doing in the vegetable gardens.
She dreams of other careers when she goes to sleep.

Cute, not for everyone

The illustrations were absolutely beautiful; however, characters do not have names, some of the pages have rhyming lines, the word "gun" appears in reference to a police officer.
