Age gap, where does it said? Just because one of the sister pointed it out once or twice doesn't said anything at all about the age difference. Author mentioned it on the front cover. How old was Isolde? 21? How old was Ciaran? 35? The description of Ciaran, has dark hair and green eyes. No mention of greying at the temple. Since they said Alieen age was 16 and their father had 5 daughters. Since Isolde is the eldest. Did their mother gave birth yearly or couple months after? I had to estimate and or speculate. 16,17,18,19, and 20th. So she must be about 20-23.

Please what were their ages!? This is def is not a age gap, by words need to be removed from the title. Thanks. But love this read.

I gave 4 stars but I don't need to give the review. The summary said it all.

Isolde MacAlpin the eldest daughter of the failing clan sneaks out to attend a masked ball that she knows Laird Ciaran MacCraith will be attending. Two years back she had fallen for the handsome Laird when he had visited her father seeking an alliance. Being too proud and independent her father had refused opening up their vulnerability to the more ruthless and ambitious Laird Wallace. Over the past two years he had been raiding MacAlpin lands burning their crops, driving their livestock out so much that many of their people had left their homes and fled to the lowlands many of their warriors had been killed leaving only a few remaining. His goal is to force Isolde to marry him so that he can claim MacAlpin lands as his own. On her way home Isolde gets confronted by 3 of Wallace’s men and now she has to somehow fight her way past them or be captured and forced to marry Laird Wallace. This book has an excellent plot with great group of characters and one you won’t want to miss!!

Worthy alliance.

Laird MacAlpin’s clan is slowly declining but he is too proud to ask for help, even when it is offered by the handsome Laird Ciaran MacCraith. Isolde, the eldest MacCraith daughter notices the handsome laird and is still thinking of him 2 years later. So much so that she sneaks out of the castle to attend a masked ball that she knows he will be attending. But that was a mistake since she was attacked by her enemy on the way home only to be saved by Ciaran. That was the beginning of their connection. I enjoyed their complicated story even though there were discrepancies around ages, timelines, enemy forces, etc. I also didn’t understand why Isolde waited so long to tell. Iran who she was.

Awesome Read !!!

I love Highland Romance and this is just that, with much suspense, mystery, loyalty, pain, friendship, enemies, action and of course true love always conquer all. All the characters are well written as is the plot that holds your interest from beginning to the extended epilogue, Highland Romance lovers like me you won't be disappointed so don't pass this up.

Confused description

Often in the book, it seemed to be confused what was happening, missing descriptions, & mixing up of scenes. Very confusing putting what was happening into to right place.

Saving the clan

Great story of dedication to their clans. Overcoming a sinister Laird who is set on destroying Isolde's clan to gain power. Good beginning to a new series

Good except

Good character development and plot with one major flaw. Would have given it 4 stars but for the explicit sex scenes. So unnecessary, better left to imagination.
