Captive-Sated

Rate this book
What happens when a woman is forced into captivity, and against her will, she falls in love with her captor? What happens when she lets her guard down, only to find out that the man who stole her heart isn't who she thought he was?
Captive-Sated is part of a series in which each book is a stand-alone, dark tale of forbidden love. In each of these novels, strong women and alpha men are inexplicably drawn to one another in the most turbulent of circumstances, no matter how much they try to resist. Each book in the series depicts two people who overcome the odds stacked against them and thrive in a relationship others might consider dysfunctional or taboo. They become so wrapped up in each other that no one else can satisfy their hunger within…
They become Captive-Sated.
This is the first stand-alone book in the Captive-Sated series.

To keep up with all things Suzanne Steele you can find her on Facebook and her wordpress blog. Everything there is up to date. She loves her beautiful readers.
Suzanne Steele is an Amazon Bestselling Author and television host for a TV program in the Charlotte NC area. She focuses on volunteer work and is very heavily involved in giving back to her local community. The month of October will be spent focusing on breast cancer awareness.
Suzanne has a penchant for writing about dark characters with twisted behavioral patterns. If you're looking for the typical romance, this is probably not the author for you. Her characters are very alpha in nature and many times they operate under obsession for the object of their affection; rather than love. Though she does believe in happily ever afters, her characters many times have a bumpy ride getting there.
She also writes under the pseudonym Stormy Dawn Weathers for her writings that aren't so darkly laced with a true realism of shock and awe. Suzanne Steele does not believe in holding back when it comes to writing about how dark and depraved her characters are in the core of their primal natures.

Lady (Deborah Miller) is 28 years old and an American singing sensation. She’s surrounded by people who see her as only a cash cow including her mother and her manager, Danny. The only time she feels peace is when she’s performing onstage for thousands of adoring fans. She gets invited to sing for the soldiers in Afghanistan and even though Danny is totally against it she goes anyway. After her performance she’s still amped up and decides to go for a walk. She sneaks past the guard shack and off the military base to take in the local culture. It’s not long after that she’s wandered too far and ends up getting drugged and thrown into the back of a van. Akmal cannot believe that his brother-in-law, Khalil would be stupid enough to kidnap the famous American singer. If Khalil wasn’t married to his sister Akmal would kill him because of his obsession with American women. Akmal is a very mysterious man and Lady has no clue if he’s a good guy or a bad guy. It doesn’t take Akmal long to become obsessed with Lady (he starts calling her Leila) and claim her as his. My only complaint about this book is how Akmal constantly repeated how intrigued he was by the difference between his and her skin tones. I mean we get it, his skin is brown and hers is porcelain.

Another great read!!! I have read several of Suzanne's books and I loved all of them so far. If you like dark alpha romances I suggest you give any of her books a try.
A pop star kidnapping, a sexy powerful alpha male that will do anyting to keep her whats not to love? There was a point in this book that had me questioning "what the hell is going on?" but that just add to the plot when all was said and done. Truly another great read!!!!

I think that this is one of if not the best book so far by Suzanne Steele. I loved it! Even though it took me out of my comfort zone and made me rethink certain things.

You have to realize that her books are dark romances. But then again her characters, even the villains are so likeable. The same in this book. I was drawn into this book in a way that has never happened before. I had to keep on reading to see what happens, and as it turns out this is not the end. There is more to come, which I am very excited about because this series is gripping. I went from hating Akmal to liking him back to hating him even more. And the best part of it all, I never suspected.

A few reviews back I wrote that Suzanne Steele reminds me of Jordan Silver, but not as intense. I take that back. She is even more intense. Cannot wait for the rest of this series!

This was a very unique abduction story that I truly enjoyed. When a world renown pop singer is abducted while doing a concert in Kuwait for the U.S. troops--all hell breaks loose. Akmal is a very dangerous man who finds himself in the middle of a kidnapping that he had nothing to do with. Now he is stuck with this American woman and faced with the decision of killing her or keeping her. This story was hot in more ways than one with a story line of suspense, sexual tension, and two people that were faced with being in dire circumstances that they had no control over. Join Akmal and Lady as they discover that sometimes bonding can take place in the oddest and most unlikely of circumstances.

Oh wow, Suzanne Steele hit one out of the ballpark with Captive-Sated. The first page got my adrenaline pumping. The characters are real, and the story keeps moving at a fast pace. If you’re a fan of dark romance, abduction, and alpha males who will stop at nothing to get what they want, then you will love this story. I did!

This was not one of my favorite books by Ms. Steele. Every book I have read has kept my interest and I have been on the edge of my seat. But this one just didn't do it for me. The characters did not

This book was just plain awful!! I thoroughly enjoy dark romance novels and have read numerous books with this theme. There was nothing in this book that I liked or enjoyed. It felt like the author wrote chapters on a whim never bothering to make them coherent and ended the book when she was tired of writing anymore drivel. I cannot imagine giving this book even one star let alone five. These five star reviews make me seriously doubt the authenticity of the reviewer. I wish this was a DNF for me but I kept reading in the hope that it would get better or even make sense but that never happened. I've pulled out my hair reading two of this author's books trying to understand the appeal and high praise but for the life of me I just can't.

This is a dark romance in which the author introduces the reader to pleasure on a whole different level. Steele has written a very graphical story of captive pleasure, in which the reader finds him/herself transported to a place where pain and pleasure intermingle and the lines become blurred, to achieve the ultimate release. This was a quick read and I went through it rather rapidly, never really bonding with either character, but then that was not what I read the book for… I most certainly bonded with the sex. If you are into alpha male and extreme sexual experiences, then this is the book for you.

Dark

Dark, hot, and sexy!! I was hooked from beginning and couldn't put it down!! Akmal was dark, twisted, and deep.....his role in this book kept changing so every time you never know if he's a good guy or a really bad guy, but he is everything that Lady (Leila) needed
