Before you read this book, please note this is the second book in a series and if you start with this one you will probably be confused as to the characters and the storyline. You need to start with Novum, which was pretty good.

Without having a spoiler, Book 2 in the series picks right up where book one did and the author does a good job of making you feel as if you are part of the story; at times, you will feel like you are right there in the Rogue Wave as the story progresses. I was a little disappointed, however, at the shortness of this installment - similar to the first book in the series, it didn't take that long to read and is more similar to several chapters of a much longer book. I'll continue reading the series if there is a book 3, but at a year or so between book one and book two, I hope the next installment is (a) a lot longer, and (b) coming out on a faster publication schedule.

I must say these novellas seem more like chapters of a book. They are entertaining to read. I am not sure where it is going and I am curious about some of the ideas and I want to see where it all ends up.

This being the second book in the series. It again builds on the first story and characters. I enjoyed the story, but would like to have seen a little more character development..
Again this story is easy to follow and I like the direction it is going..
I am ready for the next book...

Novum: Exile is a fun read and a good continuation of the Novum story. I had a bit of a hard time getting into it at first, but I think that's from not having read the first book recently, so my memory wasn't as fresh about the story up to that point. I'm looking forward to reading the next part of the story when it is released.
