A quick and fun middle-grade read!
Pretty much the entire book takes place in a virtual reality game (located in the mall arcade), OOOOOOOH, HIGH TECH! 🤣🙌 The game becomes real and the kids find themselves having to defeat very real monsters.
The monsters in the game are based on old B-Movie Monsters which is an awesome idea, had they gotten clearance to include ACTUAL old movie monsters. Would have loved to see these 2 plucky kids go head-to-head with a giant ant from THEM! (1954) 🐜 Or the demon from NIGHT OF THE DEMON (1957) 😈
Also love that these Doomsday books typically do NOT have a happy ending. The terror continues...MUAHAHAHA. 💀
